His Barangaroo casino plans are costing him a mint, his casinos in Melbourne and Perth are underperforming, he recently sold down his stake in his Macau casino to reduce Crown Resorts' towering debt and Crown has spent the first half of the year embroiled in a dispute with the Australian Taxation Office over a bill for $362 million.
Luckily Mariah Carey's breasts have not been detrimentally affected by her fiance's rollercoaster casino investments. Nor have his film investments.
Packer and Carey ventured off his luxury boat, Arctic P, and into Saint Tropez for a private dinner. And as the world stared, a glum looking Packer almost managed to blend in with the hordes of Breton-stripe-clad French locals.
While the pair's vacation have been a boon to local paparazzi and Carey's fans, the casino magnate, 48, this week let his smile slip as he looks increasingly hounded.
