Mariah Carey's estranged sister "sued" for $2M

Mariah Carey's estranged sister has reportedly been slammed with a $2 million lawsuit. The Daily Mail has revealed that the lawsuit alleges that Alison Carey hit a man with her car and "nearly killed" him. In the police report obtained by the outlet, the singer's older sister did not "keep her motor vehicle on her own side of the roadway" which resulted in an apparent collision. Carey's lawyer has apparently claimed that her actions were "self-defence" in the situation, the publication reports.

Joe Criscione, the man who filed the alleged lawsuit, has reportedly claimed he suffered serious injuries which left him "lame and disabled". He is now seeking $2 million in damages for his injuries and has also alleged Carey was drunk driving but there is no evidence to back this claim up. According to the police reported obtained by DM, the 55-year-old was "not sure what happened".

Alison Carey has been estranged from her younger sister since 1994 and has allegedly had troubles with prostitution and drugs throughout her life. Last year she "begged" Mariah for a reconciliation telling UK magazine Now: "I've reached out to her many, many times throughout the years in every way I could think of to ask for forgiveness and see if we could start over."
