It is fair to say pop diva Mariah Carey's newly-announced Christmas show has split opinion in Leeds. Many, many fans are excited to see the superstar when she brings her All I Want for Christmas tour to Leeds First Direct Arena on Monday, December 10. But, it is fair to say others are not.
Some people have questioned the top price ticket cost of £138.70, the diva's infamous bad time keeping and others have said Mariah might be past her best. We've compiled a selection of your reactions to this morning's show announcement from our social media channels and the Leedface community Facebook group. Here goes - Mariah, look away now.
Danielle Brady said: "£138.70, is she having a laugh?"
David Dalton said: "I guess they need to share the pigeons away with her awful shrieking voice."
Bruce Brewer Joked: "This even makes the royal wedding sound like fun."
Some people have been put off by the concert after being left unimpressed by Mariah's punctuality during her last appearance at the First Direct Arena back in March 2016. Sue Harkin complained: "I wonder if she will turn up on time for this show. It was ridiculous last time she came to Leeds - I think i will give it a miss."
Kate Kathryn Gilley agreed: "She'll leave you waiting over an hour and then come on when she feels like."
Diane Protecor said: "Took my daughter to see her at Leeds arena. She appeared over an hour late and thanked her fans for forgiving her. I wonder if she heard them all booing before she went on stage. My daughter was a big fan, she was disappointed and disgusted. She didn't sound very good either. I saw Bryan Adams the other Sunday now he can sing live. She needs a lesson from him how to give a good show and value for money."
