Mariah is left baffled as Moroccan puts on plastic bag

She is known for her sizzling on-stage presence and for always being the star of the show. But Mariah Carey was upstaged during her first comeback performance in Las Vegas on Thursday as she was joined onstage by her seven-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. The Fantasy hitmaker, 48, was left baffled when her beloved son decided to pull a black plastic bag over his head during her soulful performance of Always Be My Baby, as she sang lovingly to her daughter.

Looking visibly shocked as Moroccan encased his head in the plastic, the songstress quickly turned back to her son to whip the bag off him and continued her performance.

The Touch My Body singer looked fabulous for the first concert of her new residency, The Butterfly Returns, flaunting her toned frame in a plunging and sparkly black leotard which hugged her taut abs and trim waist. The leotard, which showcased her ample cleavage was covered in a semi-sheer dress, which revealed her honed legs as she commanded the stage.

Her waist-length platinum tresses were styled sleek and straight, while her stunning features were enhanced with metallic shadow, fluttery lashes, peachy blush and a slick of rose lipstick.

Mariah is revelling in her return to the stage at The Colosseum inside Caesars Palace which runs until September. But on Monday PageSix claimed tickets have not been selling well and the 4,300 seats are far from selling out. "It's a disaster. Scalpers bought a bunch of the tix and are freaking out," a source told the site.

LiveNation, however, maintained it is "pleased" with the sales. And Mariah's publicist denied the claims: "These allegations are false and come from a source that must be desperate to pretend to be in the know. Look forward to seeing you at the Vegas show - if you can get a seat."

After the conclusion of her residency, the star will embark on her 10th headline tour, the Number 1's tour. The stage show will travel through Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
