No one knows how to celebrate a moment like Mariah Carey. The iconic vocalist continues to commemorate the anniversary of her self-titled debut album and her longevity in the music industry with special content for her fans. Today, she revisits her Music Box era with three EPs: Dreamlover, Never Forget You and Anytime You Need a Friend. She accompanies her release with a special visual for the Soul Convention remix of "Anytime You Need a Friend."
"Always loved this Soul Convention remix for AYNAF! We shot this video during the Music Box era. It is one of the first videos I edited behind the scenes and I'm so glad it's getting to see the light of day now," Carey wrote on Instagram. Carey's Anytime You Need A Friend EP contains several mixes of the gospel-inspired track, which was co-written by Carey and Walter Afanasieff.
Her Never Forget You EP features three tracks, including an extended version and an instrumental - for the lambs who want to take a stab at singing on their own. "Never Forget You" was co-written by Carey and Babyface, and served as the B-side for her cover of Badfinger's 1970 classic "Without You". Last but certainly not least, her Dreamlover EP features various club mixes of her number-one single, as well as a couple of live performances from Madison Square Garden (1995) and Proctor's Theater (1993). Last week, Carey shared EPs for her songs "Make It Happen" and "Emotions" from her sophomore era. She kicked off her MC30 campaign with The Live Debut EP.
