Mariah Carey has had to cancel two more of her holiday shows after coming down with the flu. On Friday, December 13, the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" singer, 55, told fans she still wasn't well, so wouldn't be taking the stage as planned at Newark, New Jersey's Prudential Center and Belmont Park, New York's UBS Arena for her Mariah Carey's Christmas Time shows.
"Newark and Belmont - I wish I had better news but unfortunately I'm still sick and have to cancel the shows tonight and on Sunday," the musician posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). "I'm really devastated about it and appreciate your support. Love, MC," she added.
Carey now has just one show left of the tour at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Tuesday, December 17. She hasn't commented on whether that will be canceled as of yet. The post came two days after Carey canceled her Pittsburgh concert hours before she was scheduled to perform at the city's PPG Paints Arena.
"Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I've come down with the flu. It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight's show. I love you all so much," she wrote on X on Wednesday, December 11.
Carey hasn't mentioned whether she'll reschedule the concerts. It's a busy time of the year for the musician, who is known as the Queen of Christmas. Her hit holiday tune, "All I Want for Christmas Is You", returned to the top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart this week, and she received a special surprise to celebrate the honor.
