Another year, another milestone for Mariah Carey, who is marking the occasion in her own signature way. The music icon is embracing her 57th year, but instead of a traditional birthday celebration, she chose to spend it on vacation with her loved ones.
In an Instagram update, the five-time Grammy winner gave fans a glimpse of her special day and true to form she doesn't call it a birthday but her "anniversary". "Anniversary weekend," she captioned her post. The carousel of photos featured her fun-filled weekend on the beach while cruising on a yacht.
Carey's birthday look featured a brown and yellow long-sleeve swimsuit adorned with gold butterfly accents, which was a signature motif. She also posed beside a huge pink cake with golden candles, looking radiant in a sparkly low-neck beach-inspired dress. The comment section was filled with fans sending her well-wishes as they celebrated Carey's anniversary.
Before her weekend getaway, the award-winning singer, whose birthday fell on March 27, delivered a heartfelt message to her fans. Carey announced that she is dropping a new orchestral version of her hit song "Nothing Is Impossible".
"Lambs, Happy 3/27! On my anniversary, I wanted to gift you something special as a thank you for the love you have always shown me," the message reads as posted on her Instagram, adding "Nothing Is Impossible is a song that holds a very special place in my heart and knowing how much it means to you makes it even more so. Performing it at the Olympics opening ceremony was a moment I will forever treasure. Today I'm sharing a new orchestral version co-produced by Daniel Moore and beautifully performed by the RoyNoyz Orchestra, which is available now as a bonus alongside the Volare/Nothing Is Impossible Medley. I hope you love it as much as I do. Love always and forever, Mariah."
The single was part of her sixteenth studio album Here For It All, which was released in 2025. "Nothing Is Impossible" is an R&B/Soul track that she wrote alongside Moore. Carey also performed the song at the 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony in Milan-Cortina.
