|
Mariah Carey is giving fans another reason to revisit her iconic catalogue, teasing a snippet of the original 1997 recording of "Lead The Way" ahead of its release. The song, which features on the soundtrack to her 2001 film "Glitter", is receiving renewed attention as the superstar continues to celebrate the film's anniversary.
The preview arrives amid a wave of nostalgic releases from Carey. In August, she announced a 25th anniversary edition of "Glitter", featuring 15 additional tracks, rare recordings and a reimagined version of "Didn't Mean to Turn You On" featuring Rochelle Jordan.
She also recently revisited her 1995 classic "Daydream" for its 30th anniversary, unveiling an expanded edition packed with remixes, live performances and previously unheard demos.
The latest "Lead The Way" teaser continues a run of releases, giving Lambs fresh access to material from the singer's vault. You won't have to wait long Lambs, "Lead The Way" arrives Friday, October 30.

My second favorite ballad of all time from her discography is making a buzz on X and IG, at least the snippet of the 1997 recording. I hope she releases it as an official single for this album with a music video. It's about time the present world heard her powerful vocals in this well-written, perfectly sung, and well-recorded love song. It's better than We Belong Together, IMHO. For the album, may it debut in the Top 10, ideally higher than No. 7. Just wishing and hoping.
