Thank you for explaining and I'm sorry Stacey, fellow Libra lol. That makes perfect sense and I didn't mean to spell your name wrong. I agree that we should not take everything on here so seriously. At the end of the day, it is all just an opinion from someone somewhere and we can choose to ignore if we don't like it. We're all here because we have something in common, our love for MC and her musical genius.

Well, you know to Stacy we're all nameless and faceless people on the internet. That works for me too because unless I want to get to know anyone here better, you won't find my name or face. Too many trolls out there.

I do appreciate that Big Freedia's talents were put to good use at least. Love Big Freedia, MC should call him.

I did not mean to make you feel bad. I'm sorry again. And Beyoncé's new song may have to grown on me, for now it's meh. I too am so ready for new music from our girl Mimi. I think we're all discouraged or disappointed if there's no new music, just a bunch of talk about it.

I didn't meant to feel bad, I'm sorry. I think we have all just come to expect so much of MC that we forget that she's only human, like you and I. She just sings, writes, produces, etc much better that we can. We love you MC. I guess I will check out B's new song. If Mariah likes her, than I like her. Have a great day.

She posted that video in support of her friend Billy Eichner and the new movie Bros. I thought it was cute and didn't see anything wrong with it. Unless I missed something. She's got my attention and many others already, with or without fun videos. Let her have fun and be silly even if it's just for "attention". Sometimes I think she can't do anything right by some of you on this board. Also, she's plugging the Rainbow album because it's Pride month. Already got my Pride merch on her website. As far as Beyoncé, I'll take y'all's word for it.

Mimi just has to put the Diva personality aside and just be herself. She's so funny and smart, it's ridiculous. The general public doesn't get to see her silly fun side that us hard core fans get to see. She's just gotta put everything aside, focus on music and deliver a good quality album. We need another first single like Dreamlover, Fantasy, Honey, Heartbreaker, Loverboy, It's like That, Touch My Body or Obsesed. A great summer song that blends what we love most about these songs, but somehow original, like only Mimi knows how to. As long as she keeps making music, I'll keep supporting her. By the way, my favorite album is also Butterfly, duh, and my favorite song is Always Be My Baby.

I love this song so much. One of my favorites too. I drove home today for about 6 hours listening to only Mariah on shuffle and "singing" along to every song. I was surprised that I knew all the lyrics for 6 hours of MC songs. The Memoirs album was played, of course. To me, in my humble opinion, that album is a masterpiece. Every song is so damn good. It does not get the love it deserves. Keep streaming Big Energy Remix guys.

This song is slowly climbing up several charts and growing worldwide. It's just a matter of time before it reaches the #1 spot on the BB Hot 100. We can't give up now, we all need to keep streaming the remix, she will get the credit she deserves soon. I feel this is going to be one of the hottest Summer songs. Radio needs to play the heck out of it. Call your local radio stations and ask them to play it, stream as much as possible. A new era is coming y'all.

Thank you so much Mimi L., my grandmother just turned 95 and is doing really well. And I do have a really sweet husband. I'm still enjoying this new remix more and more. it's been on non-stop since the release.

I'm really enjoying the remix too. A couple of things though. It would have been better if Mimi rapped on the song and sang a whole new verse instead of the same lyrics from 1995. I do like that "sweeeeet fantasy" a lot. I wish it was a little longer, but I get that they need to keep it cute and short for radio. I do think this song has a lot of potential and it's in the right direction of what I'm craving musically from Mimi. It's a grower for sure, I don't want y'all to think that I'm complaining lol. This morning, my husband said to me "I want you to hear something" and started playing it from our library. He was so sweet to download it and have it ready for me when I woke up this morning. He liked how excited I got over the remix announcement. Now, let's stream the hell out of it and get it to number 1! Thank you Mimi for giving us something to hold us over until the new project drops. We love you and happy belated anniversary! My grandmother shares an anniversary with Mimi.

Too girly? Lol! With Emotions, Music Box, Daydream, Butterfly, Rainbow, Glitter and Charmbracelet already in her catalogue? I don't like Eternally 12 either but a one word album name would be great, like the way she did in the 90s and most recently Caution. Icon, Aries, Melancholy (RnB/Disco throwback concept album) would be good names for her next album.

Re: Memoirs is an attempt at Butterfly II (99,956) (99,974)
by Libra Lamb from USA

Memoirs is one of my favorite albums but I f do not listen to it as much lately. Every song was great and the entire album had an effortless flow to it. I wish we could get something like this again. I know it's kind of repetitive but I don't mind the finger snaps on almost every track. I'm anxiously awaiting news from Mariah on new music and new projects. I really hope that MC16 is a brand new studio album, in addition to the rumored re-release of the 25th anniversary of Butterfly. She really needs to promote the hell out of her new music if she wants any chance of getting more #1 hits. Something like 5 singles, remixes and remix videos, late night appearances and performances as well as morning tv interviews. It's a lot of work but our girl is not shy when it comes to putting in the work. Wishing lots and lots of blessings. On another note, I hope the Ukrainian people will defeat Russia and send their troops back home where they belong.

I thought Caution had lead single potential, such a missed opportunity. The Distance is very catchy too. On E=MC2 I would have preferred I'm That Chick as a second single, it's one of my faves. Migrate as third or fourth single.

Re: Hero (99,854) (99,855)

I've always enjoyed Hero too, it is a wonderful "signature song" and my opinion of the song hasn't changed and will not change since Mariah said whatever she said about the song. Having said that, I prefer Through the Rain and I think that Mariah and her co-writer would have written Hero differently had they known Mariah would end up keeping the song for herself. I prefer her catalogue from 1995-present and the Christmas albums, it's just a preference thing and we all have different tastes, the same songs mean different things to us all. Let's respect each other's opinions because it's just that, an opinion. We Belong Together and All I Want for Christmas is You may actually be the signature song of a specific generation and Hero is the same for the previous generation. A lot of people still stand by Vision of Love as their favorite and the "signature song" so it's different for everyone and that's okay. Anyways, I can't wait for any new material from her.

I know that I'm super excited for any new material. I want a brand new studio album, a new Christmas album, The Rarities Volume 2, then Volume 3. I want the Glitter movie released on digital with much more bonus material than the original DVD. The Mariah Carey ultimate music video library on digital (1990-present). I also want to see Mariah on the silver screen playing a role written specifically for her. I think she's hilarious but I'm afraid a lot of people don't understand her sense of humor. I hope everyone is safe in the Ukraine, it's horrible what's happening right now. I can't believe it's 2022 as to hear the word war again. The local news in Atlanta called it World War 3. Stay safe, send good thoughts and prayers to the Ukrainian people and everyone affected by this and have a great weekend.

I love to use M as a perfume and I layer it with a cologne and I get the best of both worlds. My favorite perfumes or whatever are the unisex Tom Ford has put out, they're all delicious, except the peach one, they missed the mark on that one. If I could wear all of Mariah's scents I absolutely would. Who says only women can have the nice things. It's 2022 and time to stop thinking trivial things have to be one way or another.

New era excitement and anticipation (99,551)

Re: AIWFCIY hits #1 (99,240) (99,245)
by Libra Lamb from USA

This song has taken a life of its own. I don't think anyone can stop it going forward. Wether people love it or hate it, it doesn't matter, it's never going to go away or lose its appeal around Christmas time. I personally love it and one of my favorite versions, if not my favorite, is the So So Def Remix. It's just too damn cute and infectious. Sometimes I think the general public just likes to hate on Mariah because they think it's "cool" but they don't realize how stupid they seem. I know Mariah still has some more hits left in her, maybe even another #1. We'll just have to wait and see. Congratulations to her for hitting the #1 spot yet again and breaking more records. She truly is unrivaled.

Supporting Mariah unconditionally (99,224)
by Libra Lamb from USA
| |
|
|
Mariah has always said that she's always been grateful to her fans, supporting her through the good and the bad. She's even gone as far as referring to her fan base as an extension of her family. Therefore I will never come here or on any place on the internet to criticize her and make assumptions or statements that will make her feel any type of way other than appreciated. I am a firm believer that putting bad energy out there will eventually come back to bite us in the behind. And we all know that the people closest to you can hurt you the most. Even though she doesn't know me personally, I know that she appreciates us loyal fans. That's why you won't see me post anything negative or disrespectful about her. Like I've said before, she's as human as you and I and is subject to the same feelings that we are. If you truly want the best from someone, you have to put out good energy out there towards them. I'm not blind to her choices or mistakes, she's not superhuman and she's no longer 20 years old. It takes less effort to be kind than to be mean or "right" about whatever point you're trying to make. Sometimes you just gotta know when to move on.

Re: Mariah's voice (99,204) (99,208)
by Libra Lamb from USA

At this point in her career, Mariah owes no one anything, not even another studio album. She continues to make music because that's what makes her and some of us happy. I don't care about the voice, I don't care about the splashes or anything in regards to her personal life. She's a human being just like the rest of us and she's entitled to make her own choices and even her own mistakes. I'd say, if anyone can't accept that, it's time to move on. There's plenty of other "acts" out there that can use one more "fan" to tear them down. I hear that Adele chick is pretty good.
