About Libra Lamb from USA:

Re: Article: Mariah Carey celebrates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris (98,876) (98,880) by Libra Lamb from USA
It just amazes me how many people that don't live in the US are so invested in our politics. Like Damian in Mean Girls said "she doesn't even go here", also this is a Mariah Carey blog/fan site and not a political platform. Let's not bring politics into this especially when you know nothing about the everyday struggles of Americans. Stick to what you know.

Re: It's time (98,819) (98,824) by Libra Lamb from USA
I love that she saw the opportunity as the "queen of Christmas " to announce "it's time". And no one else is doing what she does each year to liven up our season. I hope it's a whole new Christmas album that we get with original and classic songs. I would buy the shhh out of it. I'm super excited for the new song coming out on November 5th. I also wish for more MC30 surprises, The Rarities Part 2 and a brand new R&B/Pop album for 2022. We need the campy and fun Glitter movie on digital release with lots of bonus material. She looks and sounds amazing. Get ready lambs, sabe your coins, and stream, stream and stream. Love to you all.

Re: Rarities 2 (98,644) (98,648) by Libra Lamb from USA
If you say Tanaka in front of the mirror 5 times, she appears back in the message board? We should try it. BTW I saw the new Candyman movie and I have to say it was pretty good. It felt unfinished for some reason but still a very good movie. I think the message behind it was very powerful. I do wish we could see Mariah in a decent horror movie. That would be fun, and I'm sure "I don't know her" would enjoy a death scene. Just got laughs.

Re: Twitter Spaces (98,609) (98,612) by Libra Lamb from USA
I am so excited about new music coming soon, though it's not soon enough, I want it like yesterday. I never knew There For Me was written for the lambily and the fans, I just learned it from Mariah herself. Now I love that song even more. She sounds very genuine and happy about talking to the lambs and she's feeling that mutual love and support. I think I fell in love with her more, you can hear during the chat that she's just a deep soul and a human being just like you and I. We love you Mariah. And we appreciate you.

Collaborations (98,521) by Libra Lamb from USA
I have always wondered what a Mariah/Janet Jackson or a Mariah/Toni Braxton song would sound like. There are so many talented R&B artists out there, I wish Mariah would collaborate with other great female voices. If done right, it could be a huge hit for all involved. I'm curious about the Justin Timberlake collaboration but at the same time I'm also glad it was never released, I don't care much for him. Do you guys think we'll ever get Mariah and Beyoncé on the same song? She's friendly with most of the women, but we don't get many collaborations, I don't think it's that simple either but c'mon, it's Mariah freaking Carey, people should be lining up to be on her records.

Re: MC's sexiest album cover (98,473) (98,476) by Libra Lamb from USA
I think all of the album covers are sexy but my favorite ones are Memoirs, Butterfly and Rainbow, but if I had to pick just one it would be Butterfly. The Glitter and Butterfly photo shoots are phenomenal, she exudes sexiness and beauty. I'm super excited at the thought of new music coming out way, Christmas songs or whatever, I'm here for it.

Re: Somewhat Loved (98,306) (98,307) by Libra Lamb from USA
A fun and sexy song is exactly what we need right now. We know she's got it in her. I want something fresh and a new style, I love the signature style but I also want something "new" and unexpected. Like when "it's Like That" came out, it took a second listen but quickly grew on me. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. MC16 better deliver, some Lambs won't wait forever and unfortunately will probably move on, like some people on this board.

Re: Britney Spears (98,269) (98,274) by Libra Lamb from USA
I remember hearing about Britney's situation a while back and the whole "free Britney" thing and I laughed thinking people were crazy. I had no clue what was happening with her. I try not to get too invested in celebrities and their personal lives, after all they are just people like you and I. Then I started paying attention to the clues on her social media posts and quickly began to notice that something wasn't right. Now I'm mad at the people that are doing this to her and I feel really bad for her and I hope that she gets her life back. Nobody deserves what's happening to her and you're absolutely right, that could've easily been our girl Mariah, trapped by her mother with no control over her own life.

Re: To be honest (98,222) (98,223) by Libra Lamb from USA
Would be nice to re-release Glitter as a double album, one disc for the original soundtrack and one for all the un-released songs, ones that we've never heard before, and remixes or all the music videos from that era. I would totally buy the shhhh out of that. BTW I've always loved Triumphant, great inspirational song.

Re: Worst song ever made? (98,192) (98,193) by Libra Lamb from USA
I would have to start by saying that I love all of Mariah Carey's songs, however if I had to pick one that I like the least it would have to be Infinity. There is a good mix on YouTube called Jasmin's Club Mix that makes it more tolerable.

Re: Somewhat Loved (98,140) (98,146) by Libra Lamb from USA
I really like it too, it's Classic Mariah. I wish we'd get an album soon, full of these songs. A good R&B/Pop album is much needed right now before the Holidays sneak up on us again and she devotes all her promotional time to the Merry Christmas/AIWFCIY yearly monster of a hit. We all know she's got it in her, she just needs the right collaborations like this recent release.

Re: Lead The Way (98,053) (98,058) by Libra Lamb from USA
I love Lead The Way, Glitter is one of my all-time favorite albums. Lead The Way, If We, All My Life, Don't Stop, Twister, and of course Loverboy. What a gem of a soundtrack lol. There For Me is sooooo underrated and under appreciated, I wish it was included on the album. It really is a shame what happened to this soundtrack and how the movie was taken down the wrong path from the original concept. I am still waiting patiently for the digital movie release. I'm praying that on the 20th anniversary we get the album te-released and the movie with tons of extras and all the music videos in high def. Fingers crossed.

Christmas album (97,989) by Libra Lamb from USA
I wouldn't mind another Christmas album. There are so many classic songs that Mariah hasn't recorded or released yet and she's an amazing writer and producer. I thoroughly enjoy her holiday content and she loves Christmas so much that she would do it right. Where Are You Christmas could finally be released with her vocals. Fingers crossed. We also need another Pop/R&B album ASAP.

New material (97,924) by Libra Lamb from USA
I am very excited at the thought of Mariah working on new music. I can't wait to see what she puts out next. I will support her in any way I can, of course. On another note, Malfoy from the House of Slytherin has been really quiet, almost too quiet. I'm not complaining at all, just curious and hope all is well.

Touch My Body part 2 (97,425) by Libra Lamb from USA
I was listening to Touch My Body just the other day and I think the reason this song was so popular when it came out is because it was a new sound for Mimi and it's just a fun Summer type song that doesn't take itself too seriously. The lyrics were pure ham and the music video was so funny. We need another lead single just like it for the next album. Stat.

Re: My ranking of Mariah's albums (97,421) (97,424) by Libra Lamb from USA
This is hard to do but here it goes:
1. Butterfly
2. Daydream
3. MTV Unplugged (best live vocals ever)
4. Glitter
5. Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel
6. Charmbracelet
7. The Emancipation of Mimi
8. E=MC2
9. Musicbox
10. Rainbow
11. Emotions
12. Mariah Carey
13. Caution
14. The Rarities (unreleased "studio" songs)
15. Me. I am Mariah. The Elusive Chanteuse
The two Merry Christmas albums are in my top 5 otherwise. We love everybody.

Favorite Mariah album? (97,318) by Libra Lamb from USA
I think that my favorite Mariah album depends on my mood. I definitely can't say that I have a favorite, I love them all, but my "favorite" changes all the time. Depending on what's going on in my life, I bounce around. That's the thing though, she's done almost every genre. I do miss those days when we would get some good remixes. It's been a while since we got really hot remixes. Maybe next album. Fingers crossed.

E=MC2 love (97,307) by Libra Lamb from USA
I've always loved this album. I remember the day this album was released. I was working at a Target and it was everywhere, of course I bought my copy after my shift ended. The choice to pick Bye Bye as a second single was not a good one. Cruise Control would have been better as a single. It was the first time I would purchase my first iTunes songs and videos, with the singles and fabulous videos. Especially following Touch My Body. I really enjoy all the songs too though, not one I would skip to. And the bonus tracks for Japan were awesome too. It's a shame it didn't get the attention it deserved. #justiceforeinstein I also pick I'm That Chick over Migrate, I love that it's disco, the version with the intro is better. My favorites are 4Real 4Real, O.O.C., Cruise Control, and I'm That Chick. We definitely need another album like that.

Re: Wish for MC30 (97,203) (97,207) by Libra Lamb from USA
I wish Mariah's team hadn't skipped over Glitter and that entire project. That's actually one of my favorite albums, I mean soundtracks. I wish for all the fabulous remixes and rare tracks and even the movie that won the Razzie award for 2001. I constantly look fir it to be available on iTunes but so far no such luck, I'll just have to keep popping the DVD in until the digital copy comes out. I hope she does something special on the 20th Anniversary of Glitter. Fingers crossed. By the way, the Cameo version is far superior than the Firecracker version, just saying.

Re: I don't care if Mariah gets another #1 record (97,205) (97,206) by Libra Lamb from USA
I really don't care if Mariah gets another #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Yes, it would be nice to see but it is not necessary at this point. She has been in the industry for 30 years or so and she has influenced countless acts out there, women and male artists the same. I hear newer artists and can pick up the style where she was the influence. She has nothing left to prove. Having said that, I do believe she has a few more hits to write, collaborations or not, that will catapult her back to the top. I will support her music always because she's always gonna be my favorite singer and songwriter and #1 on my playlist.

Merry Christmas and MC II You (97,021) by Libra Lamb from USA
It's wonderful to see Mariah's Christmas albums do so well on the charts. Aside from AIWFCIY being a huge success, the albums seem to do better each year. I have every Christmas song she's released to date and it's just magical, a perfect pairing. I love her version of Sleigh Ride right now.

Re: The "perfect" R&B album (outside of Mariah's world) (97,019) (97,020) by Libra Lamb from USA
I did ask for one album. I picked one that I love every song, from start to finish. I guess it's harder to do for some. Just like I can't pick a favorite Mariah album, it depends on my mood. Memoirs was the most "cohesive " and one of my favorites, but I can't pick just one. Charmbracelet, Butterfly, Daydream, Glitter, E=MC2, it's hard to pick just one.
