I honestly can't thank people enough for supporting my views, especially after the nasty stunt pulled by some close minded individuals. You guys are awesome. RJJ12 and Marissa (60,662) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter You guys have brought forward such excellent points and you just explained things way better than I ever could have. Those are exactly my views and the reason I post what I post, but I got so flustered and angry yesterday, I went on a train wreck rant. RJJ12's point about the importance of an artist's image and how the positive changes Mariah is bringing to her image is hinting towards or correlated to a new comeback is so true. Ever since Mariah is broken free from the "black gown and mic stand" look, she has been all about her image. Like it or not a person's image is as important as their talent nowadays because a lot of talented people are being overlooked since people don't find their image interesting enough. Marissa's point about people yearning for the fake Mariah (90-95) where she was basically Tommy's doll, is also on point. Why do people want Mariah to go back to something where she didn't feel like she was being genuine? There is a reason Mariah has a nick name of "Hood-Riah". She has been always into hip hop, she has always been into buzz words, heck I learned most of mine from her. All the talk about "why you frontin'" or "@-ing be constantly" or "stunting on instagram" these are all Mariah. So if that makes her a "twat" in your eyes, then so be it. The 90s Mariah won't come back, you might get the vocals, the songwriting, but as for her image, she will always be a girly girl and she will always be the one who changes from one outfit to another when she moves from one room to another like you saw on Cribs. And since that's what she is about, I don't think talking about her fashion is something that is off limits. Sorry for my random rant yesterday but I am done being attacked for stupid reasons after every few weeks. (Sunday 20 March 2016; 14:46)

I am a little surprised everyone thinks I am only about the fashion and hair because I do have many posts that talk about her music, her songwriting and the likes. The only reason I post so many photos are because I am proud of her and like to show her off. There are only so many times we can have "top 10" lists, and it gets boring when there is no new music around but oh well. It is what it is. Sorry for the random rant, I appreciate your post and I agree there is space for all topics on this board. I just wish people stop attacking each other by calling people "twats" and "b**ches* and "stupid" every time they don't agree with someone. Anyways thank you Deedre, you have always been super nice. Then you proceed to hate on Mariah while swearing up and down that you do love her and then announce that you are leaving but you "keep coming back incessantly oh why?". You seem to have mistook this board (which is supposed to be a MC discussion board, whether it's about MC's voice, her dress or her Hello Kitty) for the House of Lords. Not everything here has to be serious. As for the people you said are an embarrassment for their parents, sweet to see you so concerned, I am sure yours are super proud of you. Nice hair dahlin'. I love the Tin Tin inspiration, a little outdated though, just like your opinions about Mariah, her music, the fan girls and the out and proud individuals. But hey we love everybody. MC why don't you ever wear these gorgeous gowns to big events? Side note: love that Stella has started using "Mariah is on fire" on all of her posts hahaha. Lord my English must be really bad that you have such a hard time understanding what I am saying, so let me break it down for you. I said Mariah has been all about the hair and makeup and glam since 1997, that is since she released "Butterfly". Before that, you know as well as I know that she was forced to wear only what Tommy allowed her to wear and she really didn't get to play around with her looks. This really will be my last message to you because I might be "immature" to discuss other MC-related things (when she has no new material out by the way) but you are simply one ridiculously rude person who came out of no where to attack me. I am one of those lambs who probably knows all of her photo shoots/candid shots by year (I am not crazy I swear). As for finding the best pictures, Mariah is just so beautiful, it's harder for me to find one picture to represent how great she is looking on that particular day/shoot (instead of posting multiple pictures, because I am scared Eric might tell me to lay off the links). I am just so impressed with her fashion/ makeup/ hair choices for the past few days because I feel like now she is looking the best she has ever looked in the past few years. One of her best shoots photos in recent years. I love everything about it. The pose, the outfit, the gorgeous hair, the billion dollar legs and that fierce face. I can't get over how beautiful she looks. I hope there are more pictures from this shoot. I love it and Lord knows I have been yearning for a new photoshoot. (Friday 18 March 2016; 19:59)

I see a lot of people talking about how she is selfish for being so rich but not helping her sister. No one really thinks for a while that things may not be what it seems. That there might be other things at play here, things we do not know and judging Mariah (for something so personal) is wrong especially when we don't have all the pieces of the puzzle. People don't think for once that why will this woman help save the life of a former employee by footing their bills and yet turn a blind eye towards her family. Wake up people, there must be a reason and really it's none of our business. We can judge Mariah's art as much as we want, but her personal life is mostly off limits. (Friday 18 March 2016; 19:56)

But I agree, 25 years into the business Mariah doesn't really need a reality show just to have an image overhaul because she has achieved enough success even with the haters around. So if she is just focusing on getting an image makeover out of this show, it'll be a waste, like American Idol was a waste. I think she initially signed on to AI to use it as a platform to promote MIAM, but that didn't work out due to the delays. So this time around she needs to work on that. Go to the Grammys, release a hot new single, hot new video. Make the most out of it. Lord knows she has been body shamed so much, and people also make fun of her vocals, but she is now in the best form (vocally and physically) that she has been in the past few years, so she should go out slaying haters like she has been slaying dragons for GOW.
