Ugh (58,341) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter This picture is straight out of 2005. Like how does this woman stay so gorgeous. I love this dress that she has been wearing to the show, along with the sexy red number. The gold dress just hugs her and let's go at the perfect places. Her hair is perfection. That skin is flawless. Like girl bye, I can't deal with these high standards of beauty she is setting. The woman doesn't age. She is looking better than ever with each passing day but what is adding to her beauty the most is that she looks like she is finally happy and free in some way. I said this before, and I will say it again, she better get a music video done real soon and release it to rub it on people's faces. Plus can we please get started on the much delayed photo shoots. I will agree with you if you say her vocals are not the same as what it was in early 90s, but even then she is one of the best singers in the world and that's not just according to lambs. Of course her studio vocals will be near perfect, because it is recorded in a controlled environment. She can take breaks in between, she can take her warm tea and throat candies and anything that helps her voice while she is at the studio. Heck the temperature is probably set to give her the best for her throat. Yes some parts are probably fixed but those may almost be negligible compared to what the current hot artists do. The studio version has to be the best version because no one is stupid to send half assed vocals/production on an album or radio. No one expects a studio version and live version to be the same. When she is on stage she is bound to make mistakes, she is not perfect, she never claimed to be. (Tuesday 8 December 2015; 22:50)

That being said, maybe her team could have informed the crew that she won't make it, but it doesn't justify the shame she had to go through. I can understand some angry staff member leaking the footage, but NBC as a corporate entity should have stood behind Mariah, an artist they called in to get people more interested in the event. I heard that NBC replaced the official video of the performance with the mic feed once it leaked. That was in bad taste too, especially since even in her broken state Mariah's interview on their channel got them millions in live viewers. Just saying, one shouldn't mix their personal feelings with business. (Thursday 3 December 2015; 17:35)

Steve Harvey (58,178) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So I just watched the interview (watch the link if you are interested). I really liked it. I saw a lot of lambs on other boards talking about how Mariah looked unfocused or not interesting or whatever. I thought the interview went great. Mariah was sweet, slightly funny and classy and cute. The interview was fun to watch. She answered stuff directly and made small jokes. I laughed when she threw shade at Glitter. (Mimi get a hold of yourself, Glitter is a lamb cult classic, stop bashing it. Ugh these people. *like Roc*) Finally a long interview with Mariah. I really hope though that we get another long serious interview of her like the ones she did with Oprah or Larry King or Barbara Walters. But for now, I am satisfied with this interview. Rockefeller (58,174) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter As much as I would want Mariah to get on that damn stage and sing her derriere off to shut everyone up (I am sick of last year's meme's and videos surfacing again), but I will respect her wishes if she doesn't perform. I think NBC did her wrong by not backing her up and letting her get embarrassed like this. I would however like her to sing it somewhere else maybe which will be televised and not just Beacon because Mariah Carey is not done with this business yet, she is just getting started. The song probably would not have become such a huge hit if it was stripped down. The background score and the over-festiveness (in a good way) is what made the song a holiday staple. It just makes you want to get out of your chair and jam to it while simultaneously busting into weird holiday dance moves blending it in with signature Mariah gestures. Side note, I also love the version she did with Fallon. (Thursday 3 December 2015; 3:14)

Skin like butter (58,159) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Oh my I need to know Mariah's beauty regimen on how she gets that flawless face. She looks absolutely stunning. Love the crimson dress on her. It was cute and flirty while still staying classy. I like that she is taking a break from the gowns, they were getting boring. She looks much better and younger in knee length dress. Also let's get some trench coat moments. Mariah looks amazing in trench coats. I love the lipstick/gloss she is wearing. Ugh I wish her MAC lipstick was more like this (the peachy nude she always wears) or something like the pinkish nudes she sometimes wears. I do not enjoy frost finishes although I'll get it for Mimi. Even they couldn't keep away from mentioning Mariah during a season of which she is the undisputed queen. Lee TS, notice Miriam Isa is having to roll out one compliment after another haha, it's funny because previously she used to kind of shade Mariah. So it's funny that she had to host the segment dedicated solely to Mariah. Stella probably watched the previous episodes and caught Miriam being shady and got her to stand there and be nice. About Bieber (58,076) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter This was a huge missed opportunity. She got JB in the studio willingly and yet recorded a song she didn't have strong plans to promote. Justin is now hot property with his songs and albums blocking up most of the charts. A duet between the two could have been huge if they promoted it well because just their picture in the studio generated a lot of buzz. Trying to revive a song which had given up its last breath months back was in all honesty silly and something that I still don't understand. Some people argued that she wants to revive it because "Infinity" is a part of Vegas setlist. But I think she is dropping it from her list as the new show is called "#1's" only. Her main job was to sit on that huge float and wave at people and flash that million dollar smile. So I will avoid getting into this argument and instead focus on how gorgeous Mariah looked. From the dress, to the hair and that luxurious fur shrug. She looked every bit the queen of Christmas that she is. She is visibly slimmer and her smile just lights up every picture. I just think she talks less nowadays and what should be done is her team needs to get her better questions. Another reason for the interview not being pow is that she is tired. She was more well rested for the Ellen interview so she was more energetic and animated. However she covered all her current projects. She probably would have more to talk about if it was promotion for a new album. I would take this over the rambling mess we got last year. We now know was due to personal stress so it's understandable but at that moment it was cringe worthy. She seems happy in the photos we saw her in the recent photos. I am always excited for new Mariah music and I hope that they release it as a single with a hot video if it's a good song. Mariah is looking better than ever right now and she should not feel shy about flaunting her good looks in a hot video. Although I hope it's not only vanity shots. Make your point without trying to lower the other person or abusing them. But of course you can't do that because half of the time you don't have a strong point to begin with. You get so caught up trying hard to throw (and then fail) a Regina/Mariah shade that you end up missing the (occasional good) point you try to make. And as far as making up stuff and passing them off as truth, honey, no one does it better than you. You have tried to pass off every conspiracy theory that your mind comes up with as the gospel truth. From Mottola and Thalia vacationing in Europe (which is somehow in your mind connected to Mariah) to aliens trying to abduct Mariah to replicate her voice (ok so you haven't come up with this yet, but you ain't far from it). Also I don't see what's your problem with my moniker on this board, this is the second time you whined about it. It's a freaking Mariah message board, I can call myself anything I want. New campaign (57,886) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So according to Stella's insta, they are working on a photoshoot for Mariah's MAC campaign. I am excited for it. It had been a while since Mariah did a proper photoshoot. Plus in her recent pictures she looks hot tamale. Her body is back to "Idol" era even in the candids that were posted from her night out. She now looks like a combo of her "Rainbow" and 2013 looks. It's also evident that she is feeling super confident about herself judging from. her body language. However the point I was trying to make to Andrew was that the Mariah of the 90s is still here. She can still write songs like the ones she did pre Butterfly. And she did so too for MIAM.
