I don't think Memoirs was bad, it just wasn't commercially viable. Mariah has a lot of control over her music and God bless that. I used to imagine it covered by a soulful male country artist. I still see that, but would love to hear a Childish Gambino cover. He has an amazing, spot on cover of Tamia's "So Into You" on YouTube. She should have won the Best New Artist Grammy that was awarded to Meghan Trainor. I could see her covering If It's Over or And You Don't Remember. The image is going to change and the bipolar thing was the vehicle to do so. No more eternally 12, being sexy is like dress up, ditzy diva facade, lighting dahling and songs with current rap flash-in-the-pans. I think we are going to get a grown up album and the extentions may go too. I am apprehensive but yet can't help but feel giddy.
