About T from USA :

Re: Song replacements (96,134) (96,140) by T from USA
I would've definitely had Cool On You on EMC2. As for MIAMTEC I would've done a pretty big overhaul (to bring out throwback sound even more):

1. Cry
2. Faded
3. Dedicated (ft. Nas)
4. #Beautiful (ft. Miguel)
5. Make It Look Good
6. You're Mine
7. You Don't Know What To Do
8. Thirsty
9. Mesmerized
10. Lullaby Of Birdland
11. Meteorite
12. The Art Of Letting Go

Re: Trash (96,039) (96,043) by T from USA
Well at least it puts to rest all the fans wanting a Mariah/Celine duet. It was never going to happen anyway as Celine would murder Mariah in the vocal department these days. Mariah could write and produce a track for Celine however. It's never going to happen, I think Mariah was secretly jealous of Celine since they were label mates during the heyday. Maybe Celine reminds her of her mother? A white woman who can actually sing. Maybe Celine reminds her of the half she doesn't like?

Vote Mariah on Billboard's latest poll (96,032) by T from USA
They're asking who should do SNL after a spot has opened up.

Re: Swan song (96,026) (96,030) by T from USA
Much of what you write is not wrong. She is different, she has changed but most people do over the course of thirty years. I wouldn't mind if she only releases one more studio album and then spends the rest of her career on legacy things. I've always had the sense that Mariah's story shifted a bit. I remember one time she was on the Rosie Show and Rosie had remembered her as a small kid because they grew up in the same neighbourhood and it felt like Mariah suddenly went terrified that perhaps Rosie would say something that would contradict her backstory. But I'm sure it was the awful upbringing that led to all the inconsistencies and insecurities. I mean, look at her other two siblings. #Beautiful was a great song. In my opinion Caution was a great album but it was not equivalent to anything from her peak. Had it been it would've charged higher and reached a large audience. The Rarities was just a way to make money on songs that were already done and just sitting there. No touring this year so she had to get creative.

Keep EP’s coming (96,028) by T from USA
I really hope she continues all year with the EP's and that we get some special treats for the Caution week eventually. As being her most critically acclaimed album I do hope there is one more spotlight put on it this year.

Re: Fave five The Rarities songs (96,003) (96,008) by T from USA
For them it's about reaching all the demographics leading to what they believe will result in greater sales. But ya it sort of kills momentum. It did for EMC2. (Although the opposite is true for TEOM, Daydream and Musicbox. Her biggest selling albums.)

Stream stream steam The Rarities (95,999) by T from USA
Let's all stream The Rarities a lot more. She can't loose the first week to a Dolly Christmas album in October. Let's grab her the #18 spot. (Possibly even #17.)

All I Live For (95,995) by T from USA
The Rarities is a great collection and All I Live For is absolutely the best.

Re: Walter A (95,958) (95,971) by T from USA
I’m talking about a moment in the book that involved a knife. I don’t think Walter was present. Cory Rooney confirmed he was there with TM and one other man.

Re: One Night (95,960) (95,970) by T from USA
It’s a great song. And I agree I hope there’s one more Rarities album in the future. I mean, she’s made the songs already night as well make a little money from them.

Re: Walter A (95,953) (95,955) by T from USA
I don't think Walter was one of the boys at the table that night. It was TM, Cory Rooney and the manager. (Cory confirmed he was there and a knife was present.)

Calvin Harris would make this go #1 and be her 20th.

Save The Day music video (95,511) by T from USA
Here's the thing, Mariah is this amazing songwriter and that's what she wants to get across to the general public. But when she makes videos where she's caressing herself in a car it takes away from the song itself. Music is as much a visual medium these days and it's almost like we "see" before we "hear". And then there's a disconnect because it subconsciously gives the impression that someone else writes the songs and Mariah is just the eye candy. How will she pull off lyrics like "And it's too divided, too deep to understand" while she's trying to look sexy?

Re: Loverboy - Firecracker (95,449) (95,453) by T from USA
It was supposed to go to #1 in 2001 and her first lead single to not achieve it. I’m down to try and make it #1 but I’m afraid the only one who could do that in 2020 is Drake with a feature. Interesting enough he has an album coming out soon called "Certified lover boy".

She should've married him in 2008 instead. But in the later part of the year after E=MC2 promotion wrapped up.

Ready to land (94,812) by T from USA
I'm most anticipating the next album (whenever it comes) because I think it will be the first album since the old days where she was forced to be inside and just concentrate on music. I'm thinking [Music Box], [Daydream] eras. Maybe Charmbracelet was like that too but not to the extent of a massive lockdown. Hopefully with all this time to get new perspective, plus with the writing of the book she opens herself up to some really special songs. The next album will be dope. Maybe it will be called "Ready To Land".

Re: Dreamteam (94,810) (94,811) by T from USA
Now a Mariah album produced by JD, Walter A and Timbaland would be fire. Butterfly 2.

Re: Walter live videos on instagram (94,770) (94,773) by T from USA
Exactly. Whatever transpired between them it probably took two to tangle. But no one can discount the chemistry. And if you’re a true fan of Mariah Carey the artist then you would welcome hearing another Walter A production. Their last being Lead The Way.

Re: Walter live videos on instagram (94,765) (94,766) by T from USA
And yet the songs they would do together would probably be pure magic. Just like all the songs they did in the past. Imagine a quarantine album where she and he worked exclusively together, and then released it just before Christmas?

Re: Charmbracelet (94,739) (94,745) by T from USA
Charmbracelet has sold more in the United States (and worldwide) than Memoirs or E=MC2 as well.

Re: Hopes for the memoir (94,567) (94,570) by T from USA
I think if she would've written and released this memoir ten years from now when she really is at the tail end of any kind of pop career we would get much more of the "off brand" story. But she's achieved so much so fast in a short period of time that the next logical step is her memoir at the age of 50. Only problem with that may be that it is not yet as baked as it could be if she would've waited another ten years.

Re: Check out Masterpiece by the Clark Sisters (94,268) (94,270) by T from USA
So so good. JD and Darkchild are two of my favorite producers and I know the reason MIAMTEC is so so good was because of those two great producers.

Re: Skydiving (94,255) (94,257) by T from USA
She put some songs that were already on Memoirs onto MIAMTEC. I wish instead she put Skydiving on it as I believe it would've even bolstered an already excellent album. Timbaland was at the top of his game in 2014.

Re: Skydiving (94,246) (94,251) by T from USA
This is the unmixed version that was done during the Memoirs sessions. First time Mariah and Timbaland worked with each other since she teamed up with [Missy] on [Babydoll]. I think it would've fit perfectly with [Memoirs] to break up but also compliment the Dream songs. Ignore the talking over it and try to focus on the vocals, lyrics and production. It's sublime.

MIAMTEC platinum edition (94,237) by T from USA
If only she would've saved Timbaland's produced "Skydiving" for that album (like she did Betcha and It's a Wrap). Imagine this tracklist:

1. Skydiving (ft. Drake)
2. Cry
3. Faded
4. Dedicated (ft. Nas)
5. #Beautiful (ft. Miguel)
6. Make It Look Good
7. You're Mine
8. You Don't Know What To Do
9. Supernatural
10. Meteorite
11. Camouflage
12. The Art Of Letting Go
