TMB (47,264) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Did you guys see this video? I love it that she is being playful instead of standing in one place. She is moving around, dancing, flirting and what not. I love the little growling part where she yells "I will hunt you down". She looks much more confident. I hope the vocals keep getting better with each show. She can take notes from mistakes she is making and adjust them accordingly. Trust me, no one gets more frustrated with a bad vocal moment than Mariah herself. Her voice is her prized possession, her identity, and it would be silly of us to assume she isn't concerned. The question is why is she not doing something about it. Maybe there is a reason we don't know. (Tuesday 7 October 2014; 19:06)

Stephen and Edward (47,210) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I would just like to make it clear that I think the posts you guys write along with some other people are well thought out, respectful and have really good points. Even messages where you might criticize MC, you guys have been nice about it. I also wrote negative comments here and got into mini fights for saying negative things but I try to be respectful. So you guys don't really deserve the hate. However the recent posts are straight up aggressive. I can't believe her fans are hating on her so much to tell her to actually retire. In my last post I wrote that people should move on to other artists. This is something I used to hate hearing and never wanted to tell others but honestly if "lambs" are "mortified" and "embarrassed" and disgusted by Mariah then why waste time on her? Another thought (47,208) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter For those saying Mariah should retire or bow out, I want to say something that I usually don't like hearing and that is, please feel free to move on to other artists. I used to dislike it when people say this when there were slight negative comments on Mariah but with some really aggressive comments I think it's appropriate. If Mariah embarrasses you, if your image/credibility is being tarnished in front of your friends and families because of Mariah's condition, then get off the Mariah train. Either ways many people already abandoned her judging by her current sales, so why don't you all move on too? I, on the other hand would be more than grateful to hear new songs from her. I will still be proud enough to show her songs off to people. Also someone questioned something like whether we will still believe she actually hit those great notes on MIAMTEC. Yes, I will. A studio is a controlled environment. She has multiple takes to get the perfect one, she can take breaks and rest her voice in the middle. She can have her teas and lozenges she takes for soothing her voice. She can sit in a room with humidifiers to get her voice right. So yes I believe those stellar notes were real. Oh wow, seriously guys? (47,206) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I am shocked and appalled by the comments here. I respect this board because it's a balance between MC's good and bad reviews, but wow I am really horrified by the amount of negative messages posted in the last 2 days. I don't think so many messages were posted when MC put out a stellar album just months back. I see many of you have many demands and I saw a particular post with specific demands, what I call the "I want her to. . . " post written by the lovely Andrew. Here's what I want from people being overtly aggressive, 1) I want you to remember MC has said time and again she doesn't prefer belting and hitting high notes on every song but she does it because that's what her fans always wants. 2) I want you to remember the fact that Mariah has been probably one of the greatest role models to younger girls and boys since she came out (no drug abuse, no drama). Yes she openly drinks a lot now but she's in her 40s, when she was younger she maintained a great image, something that can't be said about the "role models" of today. 3) I want you to accept the fact that airbrushing is mandatory nowadays. Nobody is claiming that Mariah on CD and album cover is the real Mariah, there is a reason it's called album art/magazine shoot and not candids. Even MC acknowledges it saying that the person you see on posters and magazines is not the real Mariah. I can assure you if she puts an unedited picture on the cover you all will point out her imperfections and complain about it. 4) You want "universal" songs? I say no. I am a MC fan because you can just hear her song and know it's her. "Artists" nowadays come with so called universal songs and people can't distinguish whether it is a Katy Perry song or a Rihanna song or whatever. I love and admire Mariah for her writing ability and making each song stand out. So no I don't generic songs from her. 5) You don't have to pity her and know her to relate to her songs. Mariah said many times she leaves her songs open for others to relate to it. When I hear WBT or Camouflage, I remember moments from my own lost love not Mc and Nick. When I hear Bye Bye, I only remember my grand dad not Alfred Roy. When I hear Side Effects I attach my own memory of being dominated not necessarily by a lover. I can go on. So I think her songs are very relatable. If you don't feel it, your loss. 6) It's embarrassing that she wore a gown to the subway? I guess she should come out of airport wearing a shell bikini like Gaga or walk around with squirting cone shaped bras like Katy? It's easy to sit behind a computer and bash a woman who has tried to please fans for 25 years ruining her prized asset (her voice) in the process. Yes there is vocal damage due to drinking but most of it comes from her sensitive chords and singing difficult songs for years. I am sure if you guys are asked to tell all these to her face, you all will just end up saying nothing and clicking a selfie, allowing her to stand on her good side. (Monday 6 October 2014; 20:15)

I want to see those new cartoon video clips that she showed during the concert. I wonder which songs they were used for. As for people bashing her voice, this time around I will stand by MC. I think it's amazing she is touring even considering her current personal life. I envy the people who are getting to see her live. Why lambily why? (47,108) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter It's just the first night and already people are bashing MC. Look I have posted my share of negative reviews on MC's work so no I am not a "MC can't do no wrong" lamb. But come on give her a break. She performed a 23 song setlist filled with fan favorites and not just chart toppers. This is something we have been wanting for so long for her to step out of her usual set list. Then her stage outfits are more mature and elegant. She looks great and the singing wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be. We have heard low quality recordings. That too of few seconds. After 25 years of singing one can't expect her to sound like she did in her 20s. That's silly. Fans were going crazy as to when she will tour, now that she is touring people are hating on her again. Makes me think this is why she probably lately just stay out of the spotlight because every time she comes out people will start with "she can't sing", "she is fat", "what is she wearing" and the rest. When she lip syncs people get mad, when she sings live, people get mad. What do you want really? It's just one night, who knows what surprises she has planned? She seems to have included cartoon videos for the screen too. Maybe she has a lot planned out. Just let her perform a few more venues. I heard the snippet of the ending of Hero and it gave me chills. I know there are way better versions, but this shows that she can still mesmerize us. (Saturday 4 October 2014; 23:08)

I am excited to see her show some love to some songs she either never performed or rarely performed over these 25 years. Side Effects was not sung in Japan, but I hope she sings it in some shows. Wendy (47,014) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Wendy's only talent is sitting on a sofa, gossiping about people she doesn't know personally. Then she'll go ahead and state her opinions in a way as if those are true facts. Gee Wendy why are you suddenly after Mariah? The lack of talent is finally starting to bug you at this age? Months back I wrote in a post that I wouldn't mind Mariah going to Wendy's as she was supportive of her and refused Mottola's offer to bad mouth Mariah. Now I would like to take back what I said. Wendy deserves exactly what Mariah gives her, which is "no acknowledgement at all". Wendy recently has been making such harsh comments on MC, I wonder why? Trying to look like Mariah didn't work out for her either. She's a bitter woman who thinks gossiping about others will make her more liked. (Monday 29 September 2014; 21:22)

3 points for Abraham (46,929) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter 1) There was a slither of a rumor. For example, one video was posted by someone on this board. Plus I did acknowledge in my very first post on this topic that it is probably false because they were photographed just once together. 2) I am not speaking for everyone when I said Dwayne is a good match. What I said was Dwayne is an international superstar and almost everyone knows who The Rock is. That indeed is a fact and in that case I am indeed speaking for almost everyone. It's the same as Mariah. One can't deny she is an international superstar. 3) Since you asked, I thought you might want to know, TAOLG was performed by MC at New Year's Eve. And I agree about TAOLG. It's a beautiful song and I think t he rawness in her voice kind of adds to the heart wrenching situation of the song. The ending gives me goosebumps. (Wednesday 24 September 2014; 8:18)

Marissa / Nikki (46,907) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Marissa, I completely agree with what you said about her wanting the dominant position in the family after being abused by Tommy, which is understandable and she tried the polar opposite situation and that didn't end well. So it's true the relation should have a balance where they work as a team and not leader-follower. Nikki, you mentioned some really good points which I had in my mind but I completely forgot to write. I don't know what makes Abraham dislike Dwayne but Dwayne is possibly one of the best celebrities to date. He has been so successful in different professions, which is not easy. He gets lead roles in big movies ranging from epic to comedy. Let's not even get into his legendary wrestling status. He is super rich, does not have a bad image, is considered to be very friendly with a sense of humor (which we know Mariah loves). He is mature and homely. He sometimes sings too which is cute. I think Dwayne is a major catch. Apart from these the man lacks nothing in the looks department as well. Fit as anything, gorgeous face and an electrifying smile (another thing common with Mariah). Plus they are in close age range, no one would dominate the other since they are equally well off. I said this before, I didn't know who on earth NC is before MC. Even now I just know he hosts AGT and some other gigs. On the other hand, the whole world (even people who don't watch wrestling) knows who The Rock is. Michele / Abraham (46,901) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Michele, I agree with your point and I don't really find Nick handsome. Dwayne on the other hand is yummy. Abraham, maybe you didn't read my post properly. I said "out of Mariah's rumored boyfriends after her split with Nick". Shemar Moore wasn't rumored to be her boyfriend. If I had to choose from any celebrities I can obviously name a lot of people who would make a great pair with Mariah. But like I said, I was choosing from the rumors. Plus I do think Dwayne deserves Mariah. He is an international superstar. Almost everyone knows who "The Rock" is. He did Hercules just a while back which was got him positive reviews. He was a part of many well known movies. The man is good at comedy and serious roles. He is hot and handsome. He seems very humble and has a good sense of humor. I really don't see why Mariah wouldn't like him. As for Nick, I also did mention that it's her choice if she wants him back, I don't have any complains, her happiness is more important and if Nick makes her happy so be it but seems like lately he only makes her miserable with his antics. And I do not agree that love should be the last thing on her mind, she is a human being first and an entertainer second. She deserves love as much as the rest of us. Mariah's dating rumors (46,894) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Out of all the rumored MC boyfriends after her split with Nick Cannon, I'd say I will root for the one with Dwayne Johnson. Yes yes I am aware that it's not true and they were pictured together just once, I still root for him. If Mariah chooses to go back to Nick, it's fine, I mean at the end of the day it's her life and I would want her to be with whoever makes her happy. But if it comes down rumors, I would love to see Mariah date Dwayne. After seeing how childish and immature Nick is (from his motor mouth to him dressing as a teenager) I'd say Mariah deserves a manly man. And Dwayne is just that. A handsome, sexy, confident, world famous celebrity in his own right and humble. I didn't know who Nick was before MC, but I've know about "The Rock" even before I was a lamb. I have noticed the dramatic changes in Mariah's outfit choices and the fact that she has been avoiding the type of outfits that were giving her negative press. Plus she looks absolutely radiant, it's like she got 10 years younger all of a sudden. The latest pictures of her at the aquarium are gorgeous. She even posted pictures from what she considers her "unflattering side" of the face (something she never does), which in my opinion is not unflattering at all. She looks happy. I think this tour will be good for her. She'll stay busy and in routine and she'll also have a vacation along the way which will help distract her from all the negativity about the marriage. Really happy to see Mariah taking care of herself. I think she has finally started being comfortable about herself. (Saturday 20 September 2014; 10:20)

Not just the singles, but some album cuts like Side Effects and Inseparable. I would also love for her to film one of the shows to later put it out on DVD. I have not been lucky enough to catch her tours so I love watching it and getting the feel of it from the taped shows. (Friday 19 September 2014; 14:39)

By now I probably know every hand movement and I also do the "head shake" she does when things get to intense, "the mild head shake while simultaneously looking downwards", "the eyebrow routine with or without 1 palm up", "the slow spin with one hand up in the air" (this is fairly recent from We Belong Together), there is another move I don't know how to describe it, "the mouth stretch" where she stretches her mouth muscles to put emphasis on the words and this is usually paired with the eyebrow routine, then there is the "simultaneous look down both palms up" (usually I crack that during Heartbreaker), the real swift "look right left and throw head back and give the audience a confident gaze" she does at the end of a killer vocal moment at the end of a song. One part I am not sure about is the idea that the comparisons will help get Mariah a new batch of fresh audience. While it may be true, from my experience I think it probably really won't help Mariah, because I never bothered listening to the people Mariah was compared to or the people she cited as her influences. Mariah wasn't the first to use the whistle note but I never bothered checking up on the people she was influenced by, I just heard Mariah and took it like she was the first to do it and that's it. So same can be said about Ariana's fans. They may not care who she is copying or who she is influenced by. They may just not bother checking up on Mariah at all because let's face it Ariana's fans are pre-teens and their tastes are quite different. (Friday 12 September 2014; 15:35)

Lee (46,745) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter That video was amazing. I was laughing so hard. MC and Beyonce's impersonation was spot on. I have seen previous videos of Jessica and although she looks a lot like Mariah during Rainbow and Glitter era, I thought her impersonation was not really that great, she didn't always get the hand movements and expressions right, but in this video she was flawless as Mariah. It was awesome. The one who played Beyonce managed to get the perfect voice. P.S. Is it only me or does all MC fans tend to eventually start talking and doing hand gestures like MC? I've noticed many times that whenever a Mariah songs comes out and I am singing along I start doing hand movements and pulling expressions and I'll look at the computer screen and I see MC doing the same pose right at that moment. I guess we all study her so intimately that it kind of translates into our (or atleast my) body language. (Thursday 11 September 2014; 21:07)

I hardly ever understand what Ariana says. Even in the song problem, the only line I understood on my own at first was "I've got one less problem without you" and that part was sung by big Sean. I didn't have problems understanding Breakdown or Miss You from the first listen although I will admit that I could not understand what she ad libs around the end of Breakdown. For Mariah the case is maybe that we sometimes don't understand her ad libs, the recent one being Thirsty's ending. But for Ariana it's the whole song. Too much screeching. Mariah has this soothing voice of a storyteller. I can listen to her talk for hours. But anyways just want to clear it out that I am not trying to push my views on you, I am just sharing my opinion about your post. (Thursday 11 September 2014; 20:59)
