Re: Hero (99,854) (99,856) by MusicfanJ from Germany That song is still so beautiful. We fans may have listen to it too much but I still love "Hero" as well. It's one of her signature songs and the reason why she has become one of the best selling female artists in the 90ies and a global superstar. As cool as songs like "Babydoll" or others are but the non-fans will always say that "Hero" is pure Mariah. I have heard from so many people that they like or even love "Hero" because of the lyrics and the way it was sung by Mariah. I will never get tired of it, especially the live versions and yes it was always a highlight when I saw her at a concert. (Sunday 6 March 2022; 19:36)

Don't play that song for me (99,785) by MusicfanJ from Germany This song needs to be on the Rarities part two. How I wish she would record a pure soul or jazz album. Music with real background singers and musicians (not just beats) are missing. I always loved the Price Sisters and Melonie Daniels, they were truly the best and made Mariah's music even more magical. (Saturday 26 February 2022; 17:38)

He didn't want her to party and all that stuff. If Mariah would have wanted to party with white rock stars , Tommy wouldn't "allow" that too. Her career was everything he was concentrating on. And that worked very well. Mariah and Tommy are the best and sad example for never mixing business and private life. I always wonder if they hadn't married, how had it changed the "story"? They are all disgusting. I'm sorry for Mariah and Roc and Monroe. Rich kids, but when they get older, they will have a lot of questions and that won't be easy for them. I remember non-fans (most friends of mine) really liked "Through the Rain". The video was a little hit at that time. It was played and wished by many people at music television. "Or [were] we just very lucky, the ones who are live today, to have witness three extraordinary vocalists like those three." That's also true. We (the y-generation) hit the jackpot musically. As sh.. as the times are today, so is the music. Sorry but that's what comes to mind. The last good vocalist, that's a good question. I would choose Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys when they started, and well a big suprise: Adele. But there's no more "new Mariah" on the horizon and I guess never will. So we are very lucky to have witnessed all the true superstars like Whitney, Michael, Celine and the one only Miss Mariah Carey. (Wednesday 5 January 2022; 16:26)

If she wears classy clothes, or casual, she looks phenomenal and the best. I love all the "regular girl" outfits and of course the classy ones. The red snowsuit on "AIWFCIY" is so sweet and beautiful on her. The "trendy, expensive clothes aren't flattering at all". These are often for nouveau riche. But no one talks about it as much as Mariah does. Lol. I will never understand how Mariah can be so insecure. In the 90ies Mariah was looking like a super model, even in jeans and flannel shirts. There are paralles with them. And no money and fame can heal a broken or "wounded" heart/soul. I really hope she finds true happiness and will never be exploited again. Yes, the same here. I will always cherish her. Her voice during the 90ies was out of this world. There will never be a voice like hers again. Songs from her first albums still bring me to tears because she really touches the heart. It's an experience to listen to her first recordings and always will be. I also love "Daydream", "Glitter" and "Charmbracelet". I'm still waiting for a jazz-album, there's no need for autotune. Mariah could surprise everyone with it. (Thursday 16 December 2021; 19:47)
