All the touring, concerts around the world, too much for her sensitive voice. Plus she was on every tv-show during the time. I will never understand how a natural beauty like Mariah could risk and loose her voice because of things that were not necessary. I mean if you have the best voice in the world how can you risk it? Of course every day tea sounds boring, and I don't think sometimes a good glass of wine would be super bad for a voice. But smoke and surgery just no. But yes, it is what it is. Sadly. Who's loving you / debut era (99,049) by MusicfanJ from Germany Have you heard this? I think it's just a rehearsal by Mariah and her fabulous background singers at that time. Sounds like year 90. I love it. All her background singers were so great too. They sounded more natural and soulful than Khalil on the new Christmas song. (Monday 6 December 2021; 13:58)

I swear I just bought the CD Traveller last week, because I'm addicted to the soulful "Tennessee Whiskey". And just yesterday I was thinking the same. Nobody could compare with her at that time. I will listen to the concert too. What a night at that church in NY. I miss the natural, carefree Mariah. Luckily we can watch it over and over again. Honestly I'm not in a Christmas mood right now (not because it's early, but because of the difficult time) but when I see Mariah at St. John The Devine, it does something to the heart. I enjoy that part after the first listen, but I think at 3:35 minutes it sounds like another song, that's a bit strange. A pop Christmas song and gospel at the end doesn't fit well together. A Christmas song for the radio/streaming and a gospel song for the fans would fit better. But I'm happy to hear something new. (Friday 5 November 2021; 16:58)

Hmm, now that she made this commercial, I would even prefer it was about new cookies for Christmas. Lol. Yes, she looks nice but I hope it comes the day where it's about music again. I think you have answered it already. They praise it because 95 % of today's music is sh..., bubblegum at its worst. So this new Adele song sounds indeed like all her others. Nothing special. I like Adele, I have two albums of hers, but I won't buy another one. But there's one thing Adele has an advantage, she has a good image right. No scandals, no diva behavior, there are people outside who prefer that kind of image. I give a thumb up for the classic video. That's rare today too. (Saturday 16 October 2021; 19:38)

I have bought an "ear book" about New York, it has CD's with typical music from the city like Jazz, Swing, RnB, Hip-Hop with three songs from Allure. Very cool. I always hear Mariah when I listen to Allure. I wonder if MC has a song from Allure completely sung by herself. We just need a Rarities part two. (Monday 11 October 2021; 18:17)

I love her early lyrics so much and of course the "Butterfly lyrics". I miss those kind of lyrics, that were really poetic. We all know her voice changed, but why those beautiful lyrics? What she created with Walter was magic. I wish she would find another "Walter" a great musician who would inspire her. Than she could do a jazz album or soul-pop album with great lyrics. Yesterday I needed comfort through music, so I played her debut, "Emotions" and "Music box". The magic of songs like "Vanishing", "Can't let go", "So blessed", "Til the end of time", "The wind", "AYNAF", "All I ever wanted" and "EFA" are unmatched until today. (Monday 4 October 2021; 11:00)
