Re: "Baby Bling" post on MariahsWorld website (70,201) (70,205) by Lila from United States
This website is looking to be a bad idea. I don't know what the point of this post is but it's stupid. There are already a handful of websites that report on the ridiculous and ridiculously overpriced baby items out there. On top of it, unless it was gifted, Moroccan and Monroe didn't even seem to get anything like this stuff. They had regular baby things. So why write a list of overpriced things that you wouldn't get for your own kids. Let's not be out here doing anything for a dollar Mariah.

Article: Mariah serves too much cleavage in R-rated music video (70,194) by Lila from United States
Well, there goes my thimble of hope that she would show up to the Lionel concerts dressed appropriately. The Beacon outfits were horrible too but I still had a smidgeon of hope. Why, I don't know. I thought the white dress was better until I saw the plunging see through panel in the middle of her breasts, that gives a front and side view of them. If she'll slip on thot wear for Jesus and Santa Clause, there's no hope for the viewing audiences. These videos would've been a cute idea had she worn something appropriate. The comments section will be nothing but a put some clothes on, don't be so desperate, don't dress like that in front of your kids, and a couple of slurs I don't think you have to use too much brain power to figure out mess, sprinkled, here and there, with perverted comments about her breasts. Ugh. Also, for the love of all things Holy, someone tell her to stop wearing that ugly necklace.

Same. It's annoying and pointless. I'm tired of shade and all the rest. I can't get over how many people think this mess is cute and/or funny when grown ass people acting like children is really just stupid. I wish we could get some interviews with some true substance.

"According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Mariah's World drew a 0.33 adults 18-49 rating and 0.73 million total viewers. The numbers trail the 0.41 rating and 0.81 million viewer mark posted by last week's episode." That's from Headline Planet. I've posted the ratings for the other episodes on past posts of mine.

Just say no (70,138) by Lila from United States
To the hashtag. I say let Danielle go on and work with her other clients. No one deserves to have to put up with Stella's nonsense.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey is a hands-on boss (70,111) (70,126) by Lila from United States
The lies are so obvious. It's ridiculous. For the most part, he has sprung out of nowhere. I know he's worked for her before but his presence actually mattering or him meaning anything to her has sprung of nowhere. I'm lost as to the point of the Tanaka storyline and what they're aiming for. It can't just be a case of having to go in a new direction due to the James fiasco because despite that one scene from episode two, everything else is coming from way before Hawaii. I still think that there is nothing real between Mariah and Tanaka but, if this show has any real parts to it that encompasses Tanaka, I hope Mariah doesn't start to believe the hype and live the game. I just got to thinking what if he's basically Stella: male edition. We all know how easily impressionable Mariah is and how much she likes flattery and she's not the best at decision making or being discernible about employees. That's a horrible combo. Then there's Tanaka who seems to blow just as much smoke as Stella and in the same way that she does: too much, too flattering, and so fake. Lord, it's so hard because I know on one hand she's a grown woman and I do believe she should be held accountable for her own actions but on the other hand, she seems to have such a case of arrested development that I can't help but to feel worried because I know that, while she plays her part, in the end, she's not on equal footing with the rest. I just want so badly to know where this is all headed. I hope it's not a bad place.

Re: MW episode 3 : Mimi L review (70,092) (70,098) by Lila from United States
After I watched the first episode, I said that this whole thing is a train wreck just more subtly than what any of us originally thought due to the insights that we get. I stick by that assessment, especially after seeing the third episode. I know I said that I wasn't going to watch anymore lol but after seeing some comments by some other lambs I was compelled to watch it this morning and it just confirmed my original thought even more. As you said, if any part of this show is real, the only thing she's broadcasting to the world is that she's surrounded by amateurs. She's also surrounded by incompetent people. Yet it all goes back to Mariah because she's the boss and she should have the right people in place from the very start. She complained about being everyone's mama, in the second episode, but there must be some part of her that likes being surrounded by dysfunction or chaos because otherwise this nonsense wouldn't be happening. On this episode Mariah was talking about being an alpha female. It sounded like all talk to me. If she wants to be top dog, she should start by telling her to team, flat out, to squash the stupid. I think she should step in when there's discord but it kept getting on my nerves that she wanted to pat backs (like that scene with Mary Anne). You don't have to curse or be mean but let them know what it is. Also, as for your other post recapping the episode, I loved Kristofer's accent moment too. It was so funny. I love love love Danielle. It's very obvious that Stella has a problem with anyone who doesn't let her treat them badly. I was glad that Danielle stood up for herself. I always believed the stories from the old team (I'm not saying there wasn't anyone not on the up and up in that crew but I don't think everyone was bad). As upset as Stella and Mariah got you can tell that there's truth there. A hit dog will holler and it's crystal clear that both Mariah and Stella has a problem with anyone who says anything bad about Stella. Overall, I don't see how any good can come of this team. Too many amateurs, too many incompetents, those who are competent are rubbed the wrong way by Stella, and Stella's sole purpose is to kiss Mariah's ass and make her feel empowered even if it's all lacquer and no substance.

Re: MW episode 3 : Mimi L review (70,074) (70,087) by Lila from United States
I noticed that in the second episode. Mariah truly seems to have no concept of the fact that she's the boss and that entails overseeing the people that work for her. I am truly bewildered by that. I just want to shake her and say you're the boss. That means that you have to deal with the team that you hired. A person can have the best team working for them and he or she will still have to check in to make sure that that team is doing what they were hired to do and there will still be times where you'll have to step in to help solve a conflict or problem, help someone accomplish a task that needs to get done, and the list goes on. That's one of the tasks of being the boss: making sure that everything runs smoothly.

Re: Nick opens up / CaseyShow podcast (70,053) (70,056) by Lila from United States
Nick didn't elaborate greatly but what he did say was saddening to me. At the same time, it wasn't surprising but basically what a few of us have already noticed and elaborated on, in one way or another, and that's Mariah's overall inability to form boundaries between herself and her staff. The old crew was around too much, the new crew is even worse, Stella's constant presence, MW showing just how much she depends on Stella's opinion although it's crystal clear that this woman has not one iota of life figured out her own self, her recent admission of belief that her lawyers only wanted her to do AI for their own commission, etc. Then it seems like she picks the wrong time and, even more, the wrong people to go against the grain with. I truly hope that one day soon Mariah learns how to be happy by herself, truly strong and confident, and that she doesn't owe any of these staff anything.

Carpool Karoke (69,997) by Lila from United States
I thought the compilation was so cute. All of the celebs were into it. I loved everyone. Honestly, I could barely hear the parts with Mariah, though. I also wished that she had been a bit more enthusiastic but on the other hand I also think she just plain can't convey too much emotion due to whatever she's done to her face, whether that be fillers or Botox or whatever. Even on the Seth Meyers show, her body seemed relaxed and she actually seemed good with being there but her face didn't follow. Her lips can move, her eyebrows can move slowly ightly, and that's it.

Re: All The Hits North American tour (69,883) (69,892) by Lila from United States
All The Hits is Lionel's tour. He completed the European (and I think Oceania) leg of it in 2015. He's doing America this year. Therefore Mariah can't cede anything to him. It's his tour and she's the special guest. Lionel's last album was released in 2012 and it went Platinum in America and Canada and Gold in Australia. He is a well known and respected artist. On Lionel's IG, there's a pic of him performing at Key Arena in Seattle from 2014. In the picture, the venue looked huge but it also looked packed, so I googled the capacity and the arena holds 17,459 people. He's been in the music biz so long and he's still respected and people still want to hear him perform to that extent. That's a huge accomplishment. I think some Mariah fans need to have some humble pie instead of acting like Lionel is a nobody or not good enough or Mariah is better than him because there's no truth to any of that. This is a wonderful opportunity that Mariah has been given. I really and truly hope she doesn't squander it by showing up with her boobs hanging out.

The poster (69,838) by Lila from United States
Have ya'll seen the poster promoting the tour yet? It's Lionel looking good and then Mariah's cheap naked Vegas showgirl picture, with her laying on her side. I was seriously speechless when I saw it. They could've used the previous 1toInfinity poster, with her wearing that black dress instead. I just can't.

Re: Mariah going on tour with Lionel Ritchie (69,819) (69,822) by Lila from United States
Random? Yeah. Simply because Mariah's not one to usually do these things and I love Lionel but he's not the first person that springs to mind if she did. At the same time, I honestly can't say I'm surprised. I personally think that, while Mariah isn't necessarily broke, she is in need of money. I know that many cling to the belief that Forbes could possibly know, estimate, or guess a person's net worth or earnings for any particular year but they can't. All that talk about demanding $50M and the emails, Stella saying outright that she was hired to make Mariah money, the tour sets being so basic, not being able to afford more than 6 dancers, nor an extra bus so the backup dancers and singers wouldn't have to squash up. Lionel Ritchie is still very successful in his field and very respected. This would be another avenue to bring in a sure paycheck.

Episode 2 (69,805) by Lila from United States
Watched it online for free again. I somewhat hoped it was going to get somewhat better the second episode but I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. Stupid dressing room meet with Tanaka. Rolled my eyes. The stupid handshake. Rolled my eyes. The fact that you can tell it's so fake. Rolled my eyes. Oh Lord, back to the Apple TV bullsh*t. Rolled my eyes. Hearing her sing Touch My Body during rehearsal was cute. We did not need to hear yet another recap of the Tommy Mottola days. Dumb Stella giving us nonsense about how a 12-year-old is perfect for running Mariah's social media. Rolled my eyes. We get to hear about how everyone's scared to lose their job. According, to one person, some people were fired but some people did just plain leave. I think more people left than were fired. Molly and Kristofer... uhhh. I don't know what was to be accomplished with throwing them together. We get James again. Again, awkward knowing that they're no longer together and the split was not good. I don't think Anthony was wrong for not wanting to share a bus with Mary Anne's kid. The dancers do work and it's not a crime for them to want time to themselves after that. Mary Anne's kid should've been left at home with the husband and Mary Anne needed to chill the f*ck out. It was not the end of the world that grown people didn't want to share a tour bus with her child. Also, instead of Stella fixing the situation, she did nothing but talk to the camera about them needing to get their sh*t together. You can definitely see that the tour was messy and unorganized. Yeah she's a big help. We barely got any footage of the performances to be able to tell if any chemistry was off between Anthony and Mariah, so it was ridiculous to hear Anthony complain about it. We can't tell. For the episode to be an hour long, there could've been much more of the performances shown. Lastly, all the talk about motherhood and the kids came across as fake for me. It felt more like instead of just being a good mom and us seeing that, Mariah was trying to convince the audience, herself, or both that she's a good mom. That line about everything she does (she was referring to her working) being for the kids, felt ingenuine. Music, touring, the entourage and all the rest is for Mariah, not for the kids. Then that scene talking about being single mothers. Rolled my eyes. I hope no one thinks that we're getting a real look at Mariah, her life, feelings, or thoughts, we're definitely not. Heck, we're not even getting a real look at her entourage. I watched two episodes and I'm good.

I think she does know (69,799) by Lila from United States
Personally, I have a feeling that Mariah knows, to some extent, on some level, etc. what people think and say about her. Even if she hasn't read every specific comment, I think she knows that much of the public doesn't particularly respect her. I think reality always seeps in somehow someway.

Re: Variety and lawyers (69,788) (69,796) by Lila from United States
"Maybe upon reflection she feels that he lawyers did not negotiate the best deal for her and her brand at the time." If she feels that way, then fine. I have no problem with that. I have a problem with the "they made me" part. I'm sure her lawyers were looking out for their own interests but saying they made me makes it another case of "the venture went South, gotta blame the situation on someone else". I agree that Mariah is easily manipulated. At the same time, she then needs to acknowledge that she doesn't have or use the best judgement, instead of saying that someone made her do such and such. Overall, I think Mariah's life would be so much easier, if she would stop trying to be ride or die for and friends with people that work for her. You can be friendly but you don't have to be friends with them. She needs to draw a line, set the boundary, and say don't cross this.

Variety and lawyers (69,783) by Lila from United States
I too was stuck on the comment about her lawyers making her sign just so that they could get a commission. I don't believe everyone around Mariah, past and present, is on the up and up but like I said in a different post, she has the power. She doesn't have to keep these people employed if she feels that they're trying to push her in directions that she's uncomfortable with. She didn't have to do American Idol if she didn't want to. Get a backbone and just say no.

Mariah's World ratings (69,782) by Lila from United States
Deadline has updated the previous article and the ratings are 2.2M viewers, E and Bravo combined. Here's the article. I still don't know where the the author originally pulled 4M viewers from. That's a big leap and I don't think it was just down to a typo because the person was giving the show props for being a top 5 E show and everything. Anyway, the numbers are low for the show to have had good promotion and aired on two different channels.

Re: Mariah's World ratings (69,755) (69,771) by Lila from United States
Thanks for the articles. They let me know that I'm reading the ratings correctly. I still don't know why the article for MW made no specific mention of L7, L3, C7 or C3. I can't stand poorly written articles but whatever. Overall, the tv ratings of these shows are definitely padded. I think there should be two separate ratings given. The current system is really all about the networks getting paid, anyway, so L7 or C7 is fine but when it comes to clocking the actual popularity of a show, I don't think it works because it could count one person more than once. For instance, if the show is being watched on DVR, and is viewed three times, but by the same person, then that person shouldn't be counted three times. Also, if it takes 7 days for someone to watch a show then they're not that interested, they're watching because nothing else is on. Including reruns are okay but I don't think anything past 3 days should be counted. Too much convolution and yes imaginary viewers lol.

Re: Mariah's World ratings (69,728) (69,731) by Lila from United States
I've read the same and that I would understand but the article didn't specifically include any reference to DVR or reruns or anything else. It just mentioned the premier night. I'll just wait and see if there are any better articles written on the ratings.

Mariah's World ratings (69,724) by Lila from United States
Updated ratings article on Deadline. The article basically says that Mariah's World garnered nearly 4M viewers, E. and Bravo viewership combined. Honestly I was stumped as to where 4M came from, especially as they only mention the premiere night views and not reruns of the episode and say that E. only drew 689k total and Bravo 1. 3M total. Then I realized that regardless of the fact that the article has told us outright that only a little less than 2M (1.3M + 689k) tuned in total, they added up the separate demographics: adults 1.2M, women 18-49 904k, adults 594k, women 18-34 442k. Total that gives us 3,140,000 viewers. That's basically a padding of the numbers in my book though as people are being counted twice or three times as though there's more than one person when it's not. Yes the person is an adult, a woman who fits the 18-49 bracket and the 18-34 bracket but that's still one adult. Then on top of it, it still remains that E. viewership was crazy low and those who watched on Bravo were more than likely just too lazy to change the channel. Still, I won't pretend to be a ratings expert so anyone else good at understanding these things, please chime in with your opinion and/or expertise.

Re: Tanaka is a parasite - fame and money parasite (69,204) (69,217) by Lila from United States
At this point, the most I'm willing to give Tanaka is bisexual. I still stand by my original assessment that Tanaka comes across as this gay best friend that Mariah feels she can have fun with, flirt, do whatever, because at the end of the day, they know that they're not serious, there's no relationship, and no expectations.

Re: Mariah's world (69,163) (69,179) by Lila from United States
Mariah should be responsible for her own passport but I also think, if she's not going to do it, that responsibility can and should be passed to the assistant. When I was watching the show and Stella gave that excuse about the nanny, I was taken aback that the nanny was doing the packing for Mariah. The nanny is there for the kids. She already has to look after Roc and Roe and, I'm sure, pack for them. I wonder what Mariah's so-called "assistant" was doing at the time. I'm sure nothing. The assistant's job is to assist so she should be the one packing for Mariah and making sure she has her passport. This crew is good at doing nothing but following Mariah around and sucking up her luxury lifestyle.
