The Grammys (108,106) by BFF from United States Beyoncé's music was decent at the beginning of her solo career up until the album "4". Particularly, "B'Day" had some good songs on it. Her recent albums often seem like they are written/produced by committees of tastemakers rather than organically produced as collaborations. And she just doesn't have deep, meaningful songs the way that Mariah and others do. It also feels wrong that Beyoncé has more Grammy Awards than Aretha Franklin. TJ I share your wishes and hopes. As a Star Wars fan I would say: Do it or do not, there is no try. Release the "Ugly daughter" album or not. But seriously I wish Mariah most of all health, that she cares about herself. That she stays away from superficial people, who are hollow inside. That she gets her inner muse back to make one more soulful album with great lyrics. Music Box 30 (108,018) by RL from USA I've been listening to Music Box with all the B sides and bonus tracks. Growing up I thought that album was always too short, so it's nice to hear the full version of tracks she was considering for the album. It's also nice to include more upbeat tracks. Hopefully she'll release a new album soon. Anyone seen Carrie Underwood today? There was a malfunction with the music during the inauguration, so she sang a cappella. Much respect to her. Whenever you call live at Hawaii Butterfly Tour (108,017) by MusicfanJ from Germany I really enjoyed the latest posts on here. Some ideas and wishes are really good. I hope MC realizes a few of them. To my subject. Have you heard this? I always loved "Whenever you call". One of my favourite ballads from her. Also this live version has a little raspiness sometimes, but somehow it makes it even more heartfelt. I think it's just so beautiful. The lyrics, the melody, I miss songs like that. I just can't believe MC is just writing songs in her journal and not going into the studio to lay down vocals. Maybe you are right, MC hasn't posted any studio pics because she just hasn't been inspired by anyone or even her own vocal capacities now. I hope everyday that she would post a studio pic in the booth with any producer. I would even a take a JD studio pic at this point. That would have really pushed Mariah outside of her comfort zone (although lets not forget - she's even capable of grunge). Album sales (107,876) by Jamie from UK I really don't think Mariah is bothered about Grammys now. If you look at the true greats they only have a handful. Where as Jay-Z and Beyoncé have swallowed them all up and for what? The pair of them have hardly a true hit between them, Beyoncé only has about 4 number ones as a solo artist and I couldn't name one number one from Jay-Z yet they both have Grammys in the thirty's. To me that's just saturation and doesn't really mean anything. Where as Mariah had all her chart accolades which really speak the truth to me. (Friday 27 December 2024; 02:11)

New music? (107,668) by Stacey from USA I was listening to AIWFCIY on the way home from work today and I had that very thought. It means nothing to me if the song's popularity changes each year. For a song to hit #1 25 years after its release, to increase in popularity as it gets older, cements its status as a once in a generation song. You can't think of Christmas without including the Christmas Song, without including White Christmas and yes without including AIWFCIY, especially when you add to the fact MC wrote the song. It's time (107,576) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter It's amazing. I absolutely loved it. The Addam's Family reference, her dressed as Morticia all iconic. She's truly outdone herself. Whoever came up with the concept is a genius. I also loved that Gomez Addams turned into a snowman during the Christmas transition. It looks like she had great budget this year and last to make really high quality videos for "it's time". I hope she has the same when it comes to her next singles.
