About Norman from USA: I've been a fan of Mariah's since I first heard Love Takes Time (I don't know how I initially missed Vision of Love), and I haven't looked back since.
Her music has been there for me in my darkest hours to help lift out of the depths of whatever I was going through at the time. She's my all time favorite female singer, even though I love many others.

It's funny to think of her music as a "friend", but it's always been there for me. I love her talent.

" As we drifted to another place and time
And the feeling was so heady and sublime
As I lost my heart to you
There in the dark
Underneath the stars"

AG + MC = remix #1 (105,411) by Norman from USA
Wow. Okay, so it's happening. You can preorder a copy there. There's also a cover for the vinyl single or something else that has Ariana with her back towards us leaning against a taller woman (MC?) who's also wearing a ponytail. A storm is brewing. Apparently out this Friday.

Ethical? Maybe not. Great? Yes (105,404) by Norman from USA
Thank you, Todd. I really like this a lot. I didn't even recognize it when I first heard it. I listened to about half of JT's original and couldn't get into it, but this caught my attention from the start. Imagine if she actually sang this, it would be that much better. It sounds current and fresh without seemingly jumping on a trend or whatnot. It's right in her mid-tempo wheelhouse, truthfully. I like that the vocals are clear and not overwrought and or ornate just because they can be. I know she can give us even better than this. Here's to miracles.

Yes, And? (105,321) by Norman from USA
It would've been top 10 without all the remixes. A top 10 debut used to be a big deal, it could've been top 5 even, and that would've been great too. But it's all BS now.

Megan got more sales than Ari without a dozen remixes. Yeah, she added some later, but not 12 or so. I really lost respect for Ari for that, even if it was her team. She knows damn well what they're doing.

I can't remember what publication had an article about how a #1 debut doesn't mean what it used to in the age of streaming. Especially when they drop like lead after the first week. Oh well. Hate the game, as they say.

Why I thought this slug was from Business Insider is beyond me, but here's his "scoop" on Mariah's new music. [Webmaster: Did you know this website also has a news section?]

That slime weasel from Business Insider (yes, Friedman) is supposed to have news on Mariah's new album. I don't know why he's getting a scoop, but here we are.

Tributes (105,231) by Norman from USA
I know Tori Kelly can sing better than that. She might've really been nervous singing in front of Mimi. At least Mariah shared her on her IG. And I agree that with such a vast catalog they should find something else.

So Ayo Edebiri is hosting SNL with "musical" guest I Don't Know Her. And the gag is that Ayo had a whole lot about her when she was going to do the Superbowl with Shakira. Listen to Ayo on this podcast dragging her.

Couture (105,225) by Norman from USA
Hahaha right? To be fair though, I found out she's worn that specific designer on more than one occasion before last night. Once for the launch of the Chopard jewelry collab in 2022, and most recently for the Lovers & Friends concert, and they were both black with some gold.

Very true about the comfort zone thing. It was adventurous at least. Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing what she has in the works for this era.

Couture (105,216) by Norman from USA
Apparently, it's Schiaparelli design from F/W 2023. But it really needed the drama of the train and better draping around her body. I had my suspicion K. Jenner might have had something to do with it, and since discovering it is in fact a designer they regularly work with, it's definitely more of a probability that clan had a hand in this.

The shade of it all (105,215) by Norman from USA
So she didn't pay them dust because she went, but the shade was in full effect with "Is this a real Grammy? I haven't seen one in so (cue dramatic elongation of the word) long... we'll figure out what this is later." The humor is still intact

Other than herself, I'm not sure who else to blame for that ensemble moment. To me, it looked like they ran out of time on a Project Runway episode. Oh, well.

Recording Academy Global Impact Award (105,204) by Norman from USA
I agree she should pay them dust, but I'm guessing she'll go or participate in some capacity if Lenny Kravitz is going. He's also receiving the same award.

As an example of how she'd sound in something in that realm. Merely an example. You don't have to like it or want it. It was an example.

Starboy (105,078) by Norman from USA
Nowhere did I suggest she try AI or anything of the sort. It was merely an observation and thought on a new course of action. This song is contemporary R&B and electro pop which could be fresh for her and open her sound back to some pop. Sheesh.

Have you guys hear this AI snippet of Mariah singing Starboy? It's fire. This is the kind of energy she needs in her next album. We need that banger.

MC, Ariana and JHud (104,514) by Norman from USA
I liked the performance up until the solo whistle. Mistakes happen and it was live, but not good.

I'm thinking that maybe the stiffness might be due to medication of some sort - maybe bipolar meds? Cognitively she's fine, but the stiffness is the odd part. She's obviously not a dancer but she knows how to cover a stage, so it's not a lack of experience. At the Hollywood Bowl night I went to while still stiff, she moved around a lot better - and by herself mostly - so I'm puzzled. It could also be a back thing. Oddly enough, the energy in the room was fire.

Never sung in her life (104,164) by Norman from USA
I believe his point is that you guys regurtitate the same complaints every other week and think you're going to change something. It's been how long since Daydream? And you all swear you're the only ones who like her because you tear her to shreds.

And, no, asking a singer to sing isn't a big ask, but expecting 1995 or 2000s vocals isn't going to happen no matter the critique.

Being at the Hollywood Bowl nights was such a great experience as a fan because it packed with people who were there to have fun and enjoy the show. And enjoy it we did. It was a blast to interact with people who had never seen in concert and enjoyed what was offered and how it was it offered. The energy when she did a medly of part of her catalog was at fever pitch. It was heartening. And as people left, you could hear everyone discussing her voice and how well she did and wishing more of this from her.

Having a discussion about the status of her current voice is one thing, and she's not above reproach, but enough with same critical drag and calling it love. No need to gaslight. We've read them for years and know abusive language when we read it.

It's okay to only like her 90s stuff and nothing past that. Admit it and move on - you'll all be happier. But no need to constantly bash every effing move and call it constructive when all it is, is tearing things down.

Oh, and before anyone comes out with pejorative "yass queen" rebuttal, no one is asking for you to be that. No one. You can have fun on the board without punching down. It's reductive.

Now, joy to the effing world or whatever. We mostly love everyone.

7 songs one billion streams (103,903) by Norman from USA
Same. Daydream has so many faves and one of my top 3 Favorites of hers: Looking In. I recently read a few tweets where people expressed preferring songs like Thirsty, A No No, Caution, and the such over songs like Fantasy, ABMB, The Roof, and WBT. I know it's all subjective, but those fans confuse me. Daydream is such a vibe and songs like UTS, IAF, and MA deserve so much more general recognition.
