Re: Mariah's image (56,485) (56,487) by B from USA
I agree that she should go a shade or two darker with her hair.

I came across this fanmade video of Thirsty, it includes live footage from the tour. I quite like it.

Mariah's image (56,485) by JAXGH from United States
I think Mariah, for the most part, looks amazing on TV guestings and higher events. If you look on her instagram, her dress game really is on point. I think the only times she doesn't look that fab is when she's running errands/eating dinner/hanging out/in the studio and a stylist is not hired or around. She sometimes put together outfits that don't go well together, and sometimes look a bit tacky, but really she looked amazing this year. Ellen, Kimmel, Vegas Welcome, BMA, Hollywood Star ceremony were great ensembles. With the hair? Uhm I don't think we will ever see Mimi with a short edgy look, Mariah is obsessed with long hair, maybe for a skit like Bianca but not permanently. To be honest her hair is one of her trademarks, I really don't have any problems with it but I do miss her Daydream and Butterfly hair as well (which she revisited when she did house keeping in Ellen). But yes to darker shade, just for something different.

I am team edgy for Mariah's look. We've been getting glam forever and it's time to change up the formula every now and then. Shock us MC.

I personally love Mariah with big boobs, The Emancipation Of Mimi big lol. I would love Mariah with cherry orange red hair.

Change (56,480) by Mara from United States
Mimi L I could not agree more. A change would be good. Soften up her hair color. I would love to see it darker or even auburn again like the Daydream era or even the Butterfly color. I don't want to get attacked by the masses here, but we all love her and want to see her look her best. I don't know if anyone has seen the shoes she has been wearing lately but they are these massive chunky black open toe platform type shoes with a chunky heal. They look very uncomfortable and don't seem to go with the dresses she has been wearing. She doesn't even have to lose the weight if she just dresses with more flattering clothes. I thought back and I don't want to come off judgemental. Mariah is such a beautiful woman and always was. I always wanted to be her and her hair was part of the reason I would never get a short bob. Lol. I always wanted to model my looks after her. But even when I color my hair and use bleach products in it, after so long I give it a break, go dark or just tone it down and give it some time to get healthy. I think sometimes too blonde or coloring for so long can be too harsh on one's hair. Plus for my own selfish reasons I would just love to see her a brunette or wear a daring shade of red even. And as far as MC's shoes, we all know she always loved those sexy Mary Jane style shoes so this particular shoe is not a surprise. It just looked a little uncomfortable and a tad chunky. Not really what I have seen on people right now. But she can wear what she wants. I didn't want to come off judging, just want to see her in things that compliment her. Her fashion sense in the twins is on point I must say. She dresses them kids they way kids should be dressed. Very classy and stylish at the same time. Nothing fad like, like some celebrities put their children in.

M with Bono and The Edge in back stage pic (56,479) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
"At the opening night of the U2 European tour." She looks amazing and the other two look pretty good too for a couple of Rockstars. It looks like they were posing for at least two different cameras though. lmfao. These things make me happy.

Re: Change (56,475) (56,477) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Yes I don't know why Mariah even agrees to step out in those clothes. The clothes are not flattering and that definitely affects the way she appears in photos. I heard the same person who dressed her for Idol is dressing her now so I don't know why on earth he is messing up. Big time. Mariah is one of the richest entertainers out there. She can afford anything, so I don't understand her clothing choices. We definitely need Mariah to get into Balmain mode. Heck even JLo scored a photo spread with Balmain just recently (which pissed me off to no end since I have been going on and on about how Mariah should try them out for months now). Balmain somehow looks flattering on different body types because Kim K also wears a lot of Balmain and we all know she is quite curvy and has a wide frame but yet Balmain makes her appear sleek. It'll look even better on Mariah since she has the tall frame. Edgy is definitely the way to go now. We have had years of old Hollywood glamorous Mariah, switching to a more edgy glam would be nice. Plus I would love to see her back in brown hair or even black if she is up for it. Campaign for Rachel Zoe and Balmain to be introduced in Mariah's glam squad.

I couldn't agree more. Mariah looked flawless on "AI". When she's in shape she looks younger than her age. But when she's [censored] she looks older.

Re: Change (56,468) (56,475) by B from USA
Mimi, I also think MC needs an edgy a new do. She also needs a new glam squad, they make her look older than she is. She also needs a stylist with edge like Rachel Zoe who dresses her clients in Balmain. I don't know what happened after her stint on Idol during which she looked like the megastar she is, but she hasn't looked as good or better since then. Her recent ensembles are unflattering and aren't helping with her image issues at all.

Re: Queen of shade (56,471) (56,473) by Lee TS from USA
I have to agree Mariah was being totally shady with the birthday tweet. She rarely ever wishes people happy birthday so publicly. She couldn't have picked a more horrid picture of Beyonce and we all know Beyonce is a gorgeous woman. It's kinda funny and at least Mariah looked outrageously flawless in the picture, it was more of a Mariah moment than the birthday girl's.

Was it the Chucky Remix? If not there were two acapella versions that are on YouTube as well. I adore the mixes for OSD, they were beautiful.

Can we just talk about the absolute shade of Mariah's birthday message to Beyoncé? She's posted a photo of her and Beyoncé together where Beyoncé looks ridiculously shiny and she looks flawless Classic Mariah.

Re: Dr. Scott Kessler (56,462) (56,469) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
I totally agree, however I looked at a documentary on YouTube regarding Celine's residency and world tour and even with her children she uses little cards, or acknowledgments without speaking - actually taking her vocal rest, without her parenting being compromised, at least from my outside perspective. All Mariah needs is one show-stopping performance that not only us, but the world sees on a big stage and I will be happy. Silence those haters. Let Nick have the kids for a week or so. Lol.

Change (56,468) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Surgery or not Mariah definitely needs a change. It'll make her feel refreshed too. I say go for the edgy. I'd like her to go brunette at least temporarily. A soft brown if black is too drastic for her. Get a shorter length for the hair. Plus I still wish she'd try Balmain. She was hanging out with Balmain's designer in Paris multiple times yet I didn't see her wear any of his designs. I think Balmain balances the edgy-sexy-classy really well. Plus a lot of their designs have the boobs covered and legs out, which I think would look great on her since she has long legs. The gowns should go. They age her. She looks much younger in casual attire or shorter flowy dresses. Before anyone has a breakdown and tells me to stop telling Mariah what to do, save it, it'll fall on deaf ears.

2015 (56,467) by B from USA
Mariah's twenty-fifth year in the industry has been a success. Her Las Vegas residency #1 To Infinity was such a critical and commercial success The Colosseum at Caesars Palace decided to extend her residency. She received her star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame and she's appearing on Empire this fall. Infinity, hate it or love it, received positive reviews from music critics.

Mariah wished Beyoncé a happy birthday (56,465) by Philipp from Switzerland
So Mariah just wished Beyoncé a happy Birthday on Facebook and on Instagram. I look at this as proof, that Mariah wasn't talking about Beyoncé when she said that someone stole her idea. I never believed that. I mean, if she would be mad at Beyoncé, why wish her a happy birthday in public?

Re: Dr. Scott Kessler (56,462) (56,463) by Luke from United Kingdom
Didn't Julie sue him when it happened? Mistakes happen I guess but if you think about it, he would know better than most about those type of issues. He could tell Mariah he's been there and there are very real risks with the surgery. Personally, I hope she doesn't do it. Her voice seems to go through phases where she can belt well one minute and whistle amazing the next. She's mentioned that in interviews, plus with 25 years practice she knows her way around dem chords.

Dr. Scott Kessler (56,462) by B from USA
Mariah sees Dr. Scott Kessler. Kessler is the specialist who ruined Ms. Andrews's voice (vocal cords). I'm against Mariah having the surgery. She's still The Voice. When rested and rehearsed Mariah can still slay vocally. Mariah has children, she can't go days without speaking before a performance like she used to.

Vocal surgery (56,461) by Musti from UK
I would highly advise against vocal surgery. It's a big risk, as a result of which one could lose their voice entirely. Back in the 90s, Julie Andrews had it so that she could restore her ailing voice but instead lost her singing voice almost completely. More recently, French soprano Natalie Dessay had some of her nodules removed so that she can sing Verdi and bel canto roles with ease. Her voice wasn't destroyed and she went on to perform the roles successfully, but the surgery didn't exactly have the desired effect on her voice. Mariah herself said it's her nodules that give her access to the whistle register. Having them removed might not only remove the whistle register but also permanently damage the rest of her voice and range.
