New album: "Mariah Carey - No.1's live at Caesar Palace"? (49,254) by Andrew from UK To those who would say or thumbs up the inference that Mariah's smiles on Ellen are covering up pain: you people *want* her to be miserable it seems. She looked great, she sounded great, she was fun and engaging. Does everything about Mariah have to be about her private life and her pain? She did well. Why doesn't she wear things like that and have her hair that styled that way on stage instead of hideous ball gowns and flattened lifeless hair? And the look in the maid's outfit: she looked amazing without looking like she was trying at all. She looked 10 years younger. If she can pull off a residency without lipping or messing it up, release the album as "Mariah Carey - No. 1's live at Caesar's Palace". An updated studio No. 1's would be dull. A live Vegas album with all of them on would be exciting, fresh and something she hasn't done in 23 years. And keep the style going. This plus-sized-with-lifeless-hair, hoochy-mama-on-a-chaise-longue-in-a-shapeless-ballgown look should be buried forever. (Saturday 17 January 2015; 14:50)

Set to include all 18 of her number one hits, along with newly recorded music, the album will be released later this year." Since the article is on her website, we should agree that she's definitely working on a new edition of #1's. I created a playlist with her 18 #1's, and there's only space for a new five minutes song, so if she wants to release new music with it, it would have to be a double disc album. I probably watched the bit of her surprising the fans 10+ times. My favorite was when she was dusting the television then turns her head over the shoulder, smile, and start cracking up. It's probably her most popular cover internationally. It's my favourite Mariah song so I had to correct you sorry. Moving onto Nick, I really hope he doesn't try to get spousal support from Mariah because he's got plenty of his own money now anyway. #1's (49,250) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Correct me if I am wrong but I didn't hear Mariah say that she will be releasing another #1's compilation. What she said was that her Vegas residency set list was inspired by her #1's album and that this time around it will be the updated version including the additional #1 hits. I don't think she mentioned anywhere that she will be releasing the updated album. She did however retweet a tweet by a fan who wrote something like "can't wait for the concert and album". But that again doesn't confirm that the album is a #1 compilation album. So there is still a chance that after her residency ends mid 2015, she might release completely new material. Singing her most famous hits from her back catalogue for her residency is a good idea since people will be able to sing along. Anyways so basically I was just wondering where the whole #1's album discussion came from. Did I miss out on something? (Saturday 17 January 2015; 6:58)

CD+DVD, Sony and divorce (49,245) by Luis from Spain Wikipedia named her upcoming project "Mariah Carey's #1's" despite no official name has been announced. I think it should include her videos for the first time ever. Mariah is the only legendary artist I know that has not got a proper music video compilation. As I mentioned the other day, it seems to be a Sony plus Universal catalogue, nevertheless, if she is releasing new material, Universal is very likely to be distributing the album while licensing Sony's tracks. We will wait and see. Apparently, Nick filed for divorce one month ago when the whole Rockefeller thing happened. Maybe it was true that she was having a rough day. I hope her divorce is done for good for both. She seemed to be really happy despite things turned bad from her injury on. Here it is my viewpoint on her marriage: if you marry an immature guy, it cannot end up well. I wish them well though. (Saturday 17 January 2015; 0:59)

I for one know I won't be going to see Mariah in Vegas and I'm sure there are others that won't be able to as well. It would be sort of lame if the only thing we got was a #1s album and 2 new songs. Hopefully we'll get some demos or a video collection to go along with the album. Obviously getting an album from Mariah is celebration enough but some unreleased stuff would really put the icing on the cake for those of us who can't make it. (Friday 16 January 2015; 23:00)

"One More Try" (49,240) by Billy from Greece Am I the only one that gets a lump in their throat just with the opening bars of "One More Try"? The original song is obviously gorgeous, but Mariah's version. It is this album's "The Beautiful Ones", primarily in terms of meaning and significance at the point that it was recorded. Mariah is totally "naked" in this song, showing what a brave artist she really is. Especially when she's whispering "who's the teacher, I'm the student", I just lose it. Such an emotional song. Mariah on Ellen hilarious as always (49,238) by May from Denmark I have to say I almost fell from my chair when I saw Mariah in the cleaning service dress, she looked fun, relaxed, having a great time but what made me die of laughter was the woman who said "I think it's Mariah. Haha nice try B (49,236) by May from Denmark Thanks B, I already kinda found out. The Pearl had four shows while this one will have 11 runs on fixed days (for now) and if all goes as expected it will close with a couple more shows until July 26th. I was wondering what was the difference because I thought it in a span of like 2 years haha (something like living there), so I was confused. It's the first time I hear about it as I never followed any other artist before who has done a "residency" and since Mariah said that it was a new experience I imagined something else. All I can say is that now more than ever would love a DVD from this upcoming event, it's been a long while since the release of an official one. (Friday 16 January 2015; 21:31)

It all landed on my birthday (January 15) and once I arrived to work I noticed her tickets were already going on sale so I rushed as fast as I could and had some trouble with the codes but eventually I did get through so I will be seeing Mariah on May 13, 2015.
