Sugar Plum Fairy Interlude (91,313) by MusicfanJ from Germany This is on repaet. I can't stop listening. Lol. I always loved the melody but what Mariah did with it. Unbelieveable, like an opera singer. There's the magic Mariah has in her voice. It's hard to describe, I'm blown away right now. (Thursday 7 November 2019; 21:27)

Anniversary edition (91,311) by MusicfanJ from Germany Today I got the "early present". I really like the look of the album. The pictures are so beautiful, she looks like an angel. Just stunning. Now to the concert. Like so many of you I've always wanted the "divine" concert. It's a fan dream come true, although the sound of AIWFCIY is indeed a bit "raw". But that is also charming. She must have been so nervous at that night. "Joy to the world" stays my favourite fein [sic] the concert. But "Hark the Herald Angels sing" is also great to listen to. And SCICTT makes fun. You really get into a good mood for celebration. How I love Mariah's talking in the song, so sweet. But the best is definitely the opening with the interlude of Sugar Plum Fairy. Genius. To read the "history" of AIWFCIY on the booklet is also a nice idea. I'm really happy with the deluxe edition. The John Legend duet plus the remixes are also a reason to own the album. When I first heard "Fantasy" on the radio it was clear I had become a fan. That voice. Daydream was my first album of an artist. (I don't count a 93 Mixtape with Eurodance) lol. To watch "Fantasy" and "Always by my baby" on heavy Rotation on MTV, it was the best. I read every article I could find in teen magazines. Started to tape Interviews, specials on VHS. Now I feel a bit old. Honestly since then, every year was a Mariah year. But I will never forget how it all started. (Monday 4 November 2019; 21:53)

You never said a bad word. Personally I appriciate almost everyone on this board. Ecxept one or two who seems a bit strange. Lol. People without humour are always stressfull. People expect one of the best singers of all time to be able to sing on command." Randy that's how I think too. I don't expect Mariah to sound perfect all the time (impossible for every human being), but others will because she's Mariah Carey. And I agree with Licia. 90ies Mariah would have outsung everyone on stage. MC surely has her reasons. (Sunday 20 October 2019; 20:06)

That's exactly how I felt back then. I miss those times too. Because of Daydream I became a fan of the one and only Mariah. Fantasy was playing on the radio almost every hour. I recorded it on tape and I never heard a song like that. The beginning (magical), the happy vibe of the chorus and the powerful voice that makes you dream. OSD was the other "sensation". The video, daily on MTV and radio. It seems every one felt in love with Mariah at that time, worldwide. I'll never forget too. (Saturday 5 October 2019; 22:43)

I know many people who don't like Celine's music, but nobody says a negative thing about her. With Mariah it's the opposite sadly. A lot like her music, but can't stand the diva persona. Obsessed (I'm a press conference, you're conversation) almost legendary haha 3. Did I do that 4. Standing O (I love when she sings "cheers, toast, bravo, you're the man of the hour, am I send you some flowers" lol) 5. Thirsty Mariah is really good at writing such type of songs. That was exactly the reason why I didn't buy the cd too. But I'm really happy with "The Ones" [sic] from 99 and "The Greatest Hits". Her next compilation should be with some rare songs, remixes and duets like many of you mentioned. It would be just great and something worth the money. (Wednesday 11 September 2019; 10:39)

It was fun and I have the DVD and I like to watch it because of the phenomenal soundtrack and the setting of the 80ies. But the movie is not like "Chicago" or "The Artist" for example. I think Mariah was pretty good in "Wise Girls". I also like the role in "Tennessee". But it's clear that MC's true talent is music and not acting. And that's fine. (Tuesday 10 September 2019; 14:23)
