Lamb-o-chop (41,784) by Paul from Usa
What else am I supposed to talk about? She's heavily primitive on this song. As of lately every time we hear about her it's based around YME. Am I supposed to come up with fake album and song titles? The first song released from an album is supposed to be the very best to appeal to a broader audience. I'm just concerned. Is this the best she had for us from an album she's worked on for 3+ years, and has pushed back the release time and time again? Of all the songs released thus far, Almost Home I think is the best. I think the video is tastefully done, wish if got more recognition. I'm still baffled as to why it was ever associated with OZ but it wasn't used in the movie, think that could've helped. In my mind I'm wondering what is going on with her career, who's calling these shots etc.

Lol (41,782) by Bill from the UK
Every time I come on here now, we seem to be talking more about Issac than Mariah lol. I read the article about YME tanking and, personally, I get it. To me it sounded like a slowed down Your Girl to the We Belong Together beat. Just didn't click for me. That said, I loved Beautiful and TAOLG. I still play Beautiful a lot because I love the guitar and the driving drum loop, it sounds fresh and current. YME sounded like another WBT rehash. We've had WBT, Don't Forget About Us, I Stay In Love, Angels Cry. How many more before she gives up on trying to recreate a ten year old hit?

Diane Martel (41,781) by Me. I am Carly from USA
I would love to see Mariah's next video directed by Diane Martel. She worked on The Roof and many other great Mariah videos. She also just did the Miley Cyrus video "We can't stop" so she is still quite relevant.

What is going on at Island Def Jam Records and radio? (41,780) by Bobby A from United States
When LA Reid left Def Jam Records, Mariah's support from the label is not what is used to be. I am really concerned that she can't get enough airplay for YME. She has never had this much trouble having a hit song to put out her album. She needs to call Elijah Blake/Sevyn Streeter/Diplo really soon to help her come up with a radio hit because YME is not it. Radio is not playing the song because is not a top 10 produced song. I would like for her to work with Ryan Tedder to come up with a pop hit that would make Top 40 radio want to play her music. I believe the two of them could up with an awesome song. I believe Mariah really needs to let five to six songwriters write with her in the next month to create that next hit. At this point, she can't do it with her and a producer alone. Pop and Oak songwriting and production duo is really hot right now as well as DJ Mustard, The Rascals (Ariana Grande), Rock City, Pharrell, and Timbaland, Salaam Remi, Harmony Samuels, Al Sherrod (Ariana Grande) and The Underdogs. Only time will tell if we see an album on May 6th. Because right now our girl Mariah is not being supported by radio. She needs a first single with a revolutionary futuristic sound in the next month. I hope someone helps her to see that. Ryan Tedder please call Mariah.

With fans like us (41,779) by Geronimo from USA
Is there another type of board on the internet where Mariah Carey fans can freely indulge in posting negative speculations, uninformed judgements, unsolicited career advice, chart-position anxiety, and accusations of a declining work ethic about Mariah on a daily basis without feeling victimized by fans who say they don't come to a "fan" site for that kind of vibe? I get the feeling that there are some folks posting on this site who want to gripe about their disappointments and expectations just as much others want to come here and express their love, dedication and admiration for Mariah. I'm sure Mariah does enough of her own self-critique and I'm sure that her label and others give her plenty of career advice and critique. A fan site, as far as I understand the genre, has a unique task and opportunity to encourage, uplift and promote an artist in a way that is different that others spaces where Mariah might be equally slammed or praised, accused or vindicated. Free speech activists have the entire world wide web to "state their opinions". Why be consistently negative on this kind of site?

Mariah's full spectrum. (41,778) by Me. I am Carly from USA
I love Long Island accent Mariah, I love Wise Girls Mariah. I don't enjoy sugar soaked Mariah and I really find the diva thing so played out and artificial. My fav moments are The Roof, Wise Girls, The Emancipation Of Mimi concerts. I like sweet Mariah as long as the edge is there.

You're Mine (Eternal) (41,777) by Ken from USA
Did we all forget that it took We Belong Together 2 months to reach number one? You're Mine hasn't even been out for a month and some are saying its a flop. A bit unfair don't you think?

Alex, I really just have to add to your sentiment about this lad. Stephen always posts such positive, well thought out messages. Really cool guy. I think I have a crush. Lol.

Paul, I agree (41,775) by Me. I am Carly from USA
I love how she looks when she really sings haha. I totally agree with you. I wish she knew how emotive and wonderful it is for the fans. I don't think Mariah should be anywhere near the editing area or watch her videos, she needs to let some outsiders have some control again.

BET Honors (41,774) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
The queen looked hot and sultry, she actually did make the not so cute faces which is why I think she was actually singing. The aftermath of that is what can be questionable, but regardless of the chart positions, the hair, breasts, assembles, splashes, shade, that voice is still gorgeous and one of a kind. A salute to queen Mimi baby.

Paul, Isaac O and Joyce (41,773) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Paul: I don't know what BET performance you were watching sweetie, but the vocals were clearly different from the radio single version. I guess you hate the song so much that you just haven't listened enough to notice. Now whether it was live, dubbed, or pre recorded is whats debatable. Isaac actually made a valid point, he also expressed that he didn't like the song, but didn't overtly bash it and displayed a pessimistic attitude towards people who actually do appreciate the song. It's fine to not care for it and express that, but Golly G Willikers do you have to remind us every post? No shade. Joyce I hope my posted didn't offend you, no shade was intended if it did. I am curious though, do you still have the same hairstyle in your avatar? Just asking.

The lip syncing (41,772) by J from USA
Honestly I am over the excuses certain lambs make for Mariah. I fell in love with MC because of her voice. I wanna see Mariah sing a song fully live, no playback, no dubbing, no editing. I sometimes wonder if Mariah feels pressure to be perfect? I know everyone lip syncs but when it comes to the point where every time you perform people have to question wether is live or not, then there is a problem. People love to throw Celine in the equation but when is time for Celine to sing live, she delivers. Thumb me down all you want but honestly the excuses have to stop. "Oh, she's saving her voice to tour", "she's tired", etc. Stop it. Idc that Mariah lips here and there but dang girl, it's been really hurting your reputation and people aren't turning a blind eye to it anymore.

Mariah Carey promotions etc (41,771) by DivergentIntel from United States of America
I also think she should do American Idol or X Factor but with the right panel team. X Factor USA got cancelled but I think they should do one more season as a farewell and they could have Mariah Carey as a judge and mentor and on the panel lol. Anyway, I think fans need to do our part and promote her to the top of charts to her rightful royalty and crown. Look at Beyonce. Even when Beyonce releases mediocre work, her fans promote her shit for her like crazy. Beyonce does not have to do any work because her fans are like a unified body that makes sure to keep her on top. Beyonce can just shake her a$$ and twirl her weave and that's all it takes lol and smh. Mariah needs us to keep her on top. If Mariah's music is good then she will chart well. But we have to support her by streaming and requesting airplay. Mariah Carey didn't have to promote anything from January 1990 to September 1997. That was her grace period before the tide started working and turning against her and Tommy Mottola and his minions were sabatoging poor Mimi. As for Glitter, I think Mariah should release a Glitter 2 movie and a Glitter 2 soundtrack. Mariah could win every award including Oscar for best motion picture song and film. Mariah should get a Tony award for success in stage plays in Broadway lol. I really think Mariah should put Glitter on Broadway. The music and theatrics of it are like a blockbuster mine and gem for stage plays and drama and Broadway.

Mariah Carey singles update (41,770) by DivergentIntel from United States of America
I really liked the "Bring It On Home" and "Almost Home" singles/songs. Why didn't she heavily promote those songs and perform them?

Damn (41,769) by DivergentIntel from United States of America
I'm looking at some of the comments and some of you all be hating lol. We need to be united and express opinions without being disrespectful. People can agree to disagree. Mariah doesn't want to see the lambily fighting. Come on now, you all should know better. And as I like to say, any negativity sent my way will in fact get returned right back to it's original sender.

Darryl / singles (41,768) by Eternal from Italy
Darryl, I think you're right regarding the so-called singles that Mariah has released up till now. The problem is she seems to be releasing just any random song that takes her fancy at the moment, without officially declaring it a single or not. TAOLG was called a single, and there was so much hype leading up to its release on 11 November (remember the interviews, all the Facebook announcements etc?), but then it didn't get a video nor any kind of promotion. Triumphant was also called a single, it got the full video and remixes treatment (Vintage Throwback, Pulse, etc) but she only performed the song once and it was released way before any news of the album was announced. #Beautiful actually did pretty well and would have been a decent lead single, but the album wasn't even close to being ready and then she broke her arm, which obviously isn't her fault. That's pure unluckiness. My point is, her timing in releasing these so-called singles is really off. Everything's too hastily done. Get the album ready, be completely satisfied with the songs you have, and then release the lead single. Don't try out just any half-baked songs recorded and release them without even having finished recording the album. She used to be so much more organized in these things. Her lead single was always a midtempo or uptempo (Honey, Fantasy, ILT, TMB) followed quickly by a ballad (WBT, My All) and it's a formula that worked for her. I wonder if it might be a management issue.

Open letter to Mariah (41,767) by Orkun from The Netherlands
Mariah, I have a feeling you will read this. I'm actually sure because it comes from within. I hope you realize how much we love you. And we get you. Please, don't give up. We all know you have it in you. Let the fire burn again. Let the light once again shine through. Realize that you are us and we are you. Remember your essence and your beauty within. You haven't lost it. You just forgot. Believe in the songs once again you write. Music won't let you go unless you let go of music. You are our angel. Please find your balance once again. You saved many of our lives. Now allow us to save you.

Frustrated (41,766) by Darryle from USA
I'm frustrated that people keep saying Mariah has had 5 failing singles. 1. Triumphant was intended to be a single but wasn't because the album need more work so it was like a preview. 2. Almost Home isn't even going to be on the album most likely because it was made for the "O the great and powerful" soundtrack. 3. TAOLG was something to hold the fans over since Mariah hadn't released in a long time. It wasn't an actual single since it didn't hit radio. 4. #Beautiful wasn't a fail, it was a moderate hit and would have been bigger but had negative press surrounding the lip synching Mariah did while performing it. 5. YME hasn't been out long enough to be called a flop so...

BET Honors (41,765) by Paul from Usa
I just watched the performance. It was lip synced. It's exactly the radio version. Mariah doesn't look pretty when she actually sings live. She makes weird faces, she does the crazy hand moments, all that stuff is involuntarily. She does that stuff because she has to make it sound good, probably a lot like the way Celine Dion beats on her chest. So let's all stop denying that it wasn't lip synced. Again, I'm terribly disappointed with this song, I'm sure everyone knows that by now, the performance was just as boring. Mariah in the background was overkill. I know a lot of singers lip sync live performances if the choreography is intense, or they're sick etc. Why did Mariah? Fans and non-fans have taken to twitter about this, even the media in a bad way. Our girl is in trouble.

The album (41,764) by Darryle from USA
On Mariah's Wiki page it said she was working with people like Da Brat, DJ Clue, Walter Afanasieff, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, James "Big Jim" Wright, Hit-Boy, and The-Dream. When I read this I get really excited. Now my expectations for the album are so much higher because she's working people who have produced or co wrote some of her biggest hits. I'm sure in the process of working one of these people made a #1 hit. All Mariah has to do is use it for her next single.

BET Honors background video (41,763) by Licia from USA
I agree that the little video they had playing in the background was nice. It would be cool to see a full video with that concept. It seems like this was something quick that they threw together, but it kind of kills the original video.

Charts (41,762) by Darryle from USA
YME is not doing well on the charts at all. I think the problem is promo. Yeah Mariah did a lot of promo for this single but it wasn't the right format. It was lots of radio interviews. That's not what gets a song popular, you need live performances and radio. She cancelled The View performance and the BET Honors isn't a big enough format. She needs Oscars or Grammys or even Good Morning America. Plenty of people debut songs up there. I think Mariah's not doing live performances because this wasn't intended to be the hit from the album. I think Mariah just wanted to release something for Valentine's Day and this was perfect. I also think it was for buzz people are talking now. About the album, single, and video. I think the real hit single will be after this and I have hope it's something produced by Hit Boy or Mike Will Made It. Those are people that are big among the general population in music right now.

Celine duet (41,761) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
No, no and no. What good will it do? At least definitely not as a single. Album cut is tolerable but still I don't really care for Celine. If Mariah does perform with another female it should be current. And I see no reason for Celina and Mariah pulling another MC Whitney moment. That concept is done and over. A new female duet has to be fresh.

It's Like That (41,760) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I always loved this song but I haven't heard it in a while and I was playing it today and I went woah. It's such a great song, it just makes you wanna get up and dance, especially at the "let's go now here we go now" part, but even the rest of the song kinda makes you get on the floor with your gals. I am not even talking about the club mixes, I am referring to te original version. Please MC give me a song like that again. It's fun, flirty, sexy and classy while throwing shades at them chicken's ashy skin all at once lol. You can come up with a bigger club hit than all the Gagas and Perrys and Beyonces.

Mariah (41,759) by David from Spain
The people wants that Mariah come back to sing Pop. They are tired of listening to sweet R&B. Mariah is more diva than singer.
