19th No. 1 (69,699) by Terna from Nigeria
This just might be the year AIWFCIY hits no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. That'll be a record making first. I don't know of any other song that has topped the charts 22 years after being released.

Mariah Carey - the fan divide (69,244) by Terna from Nigeria
There seems to be a great divide between Mariah's fans 1990-1997 and 1997-2016 or say present day. The former of when she was considered a pop artist and someone new in the industry, in contrast to someone who had paid her dues, proved herself and gained a certain amount of respect and freedom to be herself from 1997 onward, this reflected in her work immediately indicated by the jarring switch of the genre of music she made from pop to R&B/Hip-Hop. This single move Mariah made I feel is truly what set her levels above the rest and what has in the long run given her longevity. She followed and still follows her heart. Not what Tommy Mottola envisioned or oversaw in the past, but what was truly Mariah in her inner most core, and her love for R&B/Hip-Hop, music she grew up listening to and could relate to. The resulting body of work which reflects that time became her magnum opus - Butterfly a masterpiece of perfectly blended Pop, R&B/Hip-Hop, which Singers like Beyoncé and Rihanna often borrow from, testament to the impact of Butterfly; Mariah's blueprint.

Re: Freak show (69,120) (69,145) by Terna from Nigeria
Like that time you insisted the Grammies 2006 medley was lip synched at some parts but everyone here thought different and concluded it was 100% live right? Hmmn.

Re: Lipping and off you go (69,116) (69,144) by Terna from Nigeria
Oh my? I hit a nerve now didn't I? With that defensive essay you babbled out saying nothing coherent and even being insultive, I'd say you're a tad bit too old for such childish behavior now aren't you? Smh. First of all my reading comprehension (Was that supposed to be a jab at my intellect? Try again because you failed.) is fine thank you very much. No one was talking about nodules but you were talking about lip synching which is why I called it to your attention, nodules could very well be the reason why she keeps lipping. It's not rocket science. "Unfounded assumptions" as you called it? Mariah Carey has nodules fact (all caps), her doctors, she herself and I think even her mum have confirmed it. Her voice has constantly kept changing with every era, fact. We aren't with Mariah Carey 24/7 (fact) so how do you know for certain she doesn't take care of her voice? Now that is an "unfounded assumption" as you put it. Because to me for someone who's had them her whole career, she still sounds great, and had to have been taking care of her instrument to be able to still tour, record and sing her 18 number ones back to back (Caesar's palace) seeing how difficult her repertoire is. Goodday Edward.

Re: Freak show (69,075) (69,099) by Terna from Nigeria
Then you and George seem to be in the minority because I felt that was a classy fresh look and performance from her in since forever matter of fact she's never done anything remotely close to this. And judging by the positive comments on social media not just the lambily, I say it was a big win for her. Mariah slayed point blank period.

Re: Lipping and off you go (69,073) (69,098) by Terna from Nigeria
Everytime you complain about Mariah lipping you show just how ignorant you really are about nodules and polyps. The former of which Mariah has always had. That's right, even before she recorded her first album. It's the reason her voice has constantly kept changing with every album, tour and performance but she got away with it as a result of her youth. Now she's older it's much more obvious. Sure she also doesn't take care of her instrument like before, how sure are we? None of us here are with her 24/7 now are we? So with that in mind, you should know that comparing Mariah to other singers who don't (all caps) have nodules is ridiculous. And the funny thing with nodules is that the problem exacerbates over time and in her case, surgery might be the only option. Two words. Julie Andrews.

Re: Mariah and Jazz (68,612) (68,682) by Terna from Nigeria
No, no and um, no. Jazz is for oldies. What I want is another slayage era on par with Butterfly and The Emancipation Of Mimi. But with current sounds, current producers. A perfect blend of pop and R&B like we all know she's still very capable of, and massive big voiced ballads that would reign supreme breaking the Beatles record.

Re: New pics (68,261) (68,277) by Terna from Nigeria
A vision of love moment. Anyone? Recall the video for that song? Minus the jacket. She looks hot and easily can pass as 30ish. One of her best looks this year.

Re: Whenever You Call - your most listened to song? (67,489) (67,509) by Terna from Nigeria
Mine was a tie between "Vision of Love" and "The Art of Letting Go" according to iTunes. I actually play those two the most come to think of it. Lol.

Re: What female should Mariah duet with? (67,488) (67,508) by Terna from Nigeria
I would pick Brandy or Deborah Cox for an R&B song or Christina Aguilera for a ballad. These three after Whitney Houston are probably the only females who could actually keep up with Mariah vocally especially with the runs and not have her holding back too much like with Jussie. Ariana is a no for me though, her voice isn't Mature enough for a duet with such a hefty voice as Mariah's.

Re: Early Halloween (67,433) (67,437) by Terna from Nigeria
Mariah looks hot. Easily her best Halloween costume ever. Poor Nick couldn't focus on the cam with her girls out and in his face almost literally. Lol. Mimi the pics you shared are fabulous. I got to see more details about who was in attendance, something the main article eluded.

Re: Jojo's reckless (67,315) (67,325) by Terna from Nigeria
I thought the same thing too. It's more R&B than the rest of the songs and even her vocal delivery is Mariahesque. I like the song.

Mad Love (67,311) by Terna from Nigeria
JoJo's new album is a killer. Check it out and support her she's the real deal. There's a shift of attention from gimmicky artist back to singers with the gift and talent that speaks for itself and that's a good thing for our diva Mariah. Fave songs include: Music, Edibles, I Can Only feat. Alessia cara, Rise Up, [censored] Apologies, Fab and Clovers. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

It's all there, every single video Mariah ever put out worth mentioning, even live performances. Wow I'm impressed and you need to see the comments all positive, all recent. It's Mariah's World again and I'm loving it.

Wendy Williams (67,237) by Terna from Nigeria
Is a big lamb. All her commentaries on Mariah are just attention jabs at Mariah. I feel like she's desperate at this point to have Mariah on her show at all costs which would kinda validate her and her show. And when she doesn't get honored a visit from the one and only chanteuse, she throws hissy fits and tantrums which we've all witnessed in the past. Lol.

Re: New sound (67,208) (67,215) by Terna from Nigeria
How about Ben Margulies? Now if she must reunite with her old collaborators I feel it should be Ben. Some of her most profound songs were written with Ben and I also feel they didn't hang long enough to bring out the best, kinda like a tip of the iceberg scenario. Afanansieff's sound is dated and would come across as a desperate move to recapture her glory days (I hate that phrase lol).

Infamous update (66,937) by Terna from Nigeria
At first listen it really wasn't a wow moment but the song is a grower. Mariah's parts are most memorable and I've actually been humming or singing little parts of it all day, today which is weird for a song I would say doesn't have a distinct melody line at all. What an outcry this song has caused for all the wrong reasons it's famous negatively. It sure lives up to its title - Infamous.

The silence of the lambs (66,904) by Terna from Nigeria
It's no wonder Mariah is reaching out to the younger generation for new fans who would love her, accept and support her unconditionally as she is now, and talk and refer to her with love and respect. Unlike the core fans who started with her and Tommy's vision of Mariah Carey. Those fans fell off along the way, and morphed into something crafted from pure hate. While still deceiving themselves they're still rational, and "love" her, yet when it comes to Mariah Carey, you get a glimpse of the confusion and ugly they are inside. And they're here littered all around with their distorted, inverted perceptions about her shamelessly spewing hate and negativity any chance they get. How miserable they must truly be. . A new crop of Mariah Carey fans is being raised void of all those issues the greater part of her original fanbase have. And in time the 795 B.C. entitled fans would be long forgotten because they and their distorted opinions on her won't matter, will not even be tolerated nor entertained.

Re: These songs represent the real Mariah not Infamous (66,858) (66,862) by Terna from Nigeria
Sorry no one wants a new Walter Afanansieff collaboration the magic lies within Mariah not Walter. Seeing as she has written equally profound songs on par if not I dare say better than the ones she did with Walter just playing piano. Walter's work was always overproduced and borderline schmaltzy and her voice buried under layers of music tracks instead of front and center. The real Mariah Carey is an R&B/Soul singer in the vein of Aretha, Patti, Chaka & miss Blige.
Mine Again
We Belong Together
Your girl
Vision of Love
Do You think of me
Underneath the stars
Melt Away
One Sweet Day (Leans more towards r&b)
Through the Rain
Bliss
Fly like a bird
Faded
Baby doll
The Roof
The Art of Letting Go etc. Now this is the real Mariah Carey. A soul sister and R&B queen.

Re: New song honest review (66,841) (66,857) by Terna from Nigeria
I like the T-Pain moment. That's where the song seems to take off and brighten up just a little bit and I feel in the context of the film, it's where he soars and kinda gets his mojo back since from what I've read Kitty's there to help and guide Jamal.

Infamous (66,834) by Terna from Nigeria
I like it. It's a laid back R&B jam, current sounding and a step in the right direction of how music should sound. Nice thoughtful lyrics too. The only setback was the auto tune on Jussie's vocals - a tad bit too much, but all in all it would play well with empire. B-
