TEOM realness (77,634)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

MC is serving TEOM vibes in this ensemble from her night out with Tanaka, as you can see, B Scott is also visible in the frame. Was Stella there? This is another photo from the same night. MC also posted this on her insta, and tagged Mastro's so I'm guessing now she is promoting them too? Last but not the least, she seems to have done a new interview with Carly.

Haha you guys, please tell me that lady behind MC and Tanaka is not wearing the necklace Packer gave Mariah. For reference, this is the necklace, although you all must already know it by now since she wears it all the time. I cannot deal with MC first wearing Packer's ring on her middle finger and now having a crew member wear the necklace.

Ya a lot of kids have fun picking out stuff they wear but Kim specifically said that North picks fabrics not only for her own clothes but also their joint clothing line, basically this is just them ensuring that in 10 years North will be passed off as the next biggest designer. As for Dembabies, they always dress in casual baby clothes that any other kid would wear, which is cute compared to furs and leather that North is made to wear.

I always appreciate how Mariah and Nick dress their kids like normal kids. The other day I saw Kim K talk about how North appparently picks out fabrics for her own outfits and for Kim and Kanye's clothing line for kids, and I was like are you seriously going to sell to us that your kid already knows fabrics at this age?

She has been showing E=MC2 a lot of love lately by randomly singing several songs from that album, so I'm hoping she's been listening to that album and have some fun songs in line. I love that album.

Cameron? (77,607)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Just saw this photo of MC backstage and look who's her, Cameron Diaz. Haha, remember when Cameron was being a B with an itch and said something like torture to her is being tied to a chair with Mariah Carey music being played? Then later I think Mariah said that she was once a little tipsy at a restaurant, when she spotted Cameron and she went up to her and gave her a piece of her mind. So I'm surprised to see her standing there, but then again she and Nicole are good friends and she is married to Nicole's brother in law.

I loved her entering to "Next time I'm gonna come on harder, don't step on this heat, don't bother", while being wheeled in on that throne, I was like "Yas Queen" haha. "Heat" is definitely one of her her most ahem, trash talking songs, I love it haha. It's like she's warning her critics that she'll come off the heels and hit them. Kidding, but it was great. I also love that Stella and the crew has been kept on the down low so far as to them actually going on a short vacation alone, that hardly ever happens. It'll be great if they are being "slowly but surely" being phased out.

"She's been touching her nipples on music videos for as long as I can remember." Edward get out of here, haha. "She definitely needs to work on her choice in clothing and her diva attitude", this is also my line of thinking. Dressing appropriately would do wonders. Also her diva "untouchable" attitude, makes people go against her and that's why they love tearing her down. Her image in general needs a major overhaul. I don't see that happening with her current team though. They'll bubble wrap the bubble that she is already in.

See this post I can completely agree with. Mariah says something and does something else. She insists she's a prude and shy but her actions suggests otherwise. I clearly remember her saying on one occasion (I'm sure there were more) where she said she wouldn't use "sex" (as in the sexy image) to sell her stuff and she doesn't understand why people do that and basically she was talking down about how some people have just based their whole gig around a sexy image, this contradicts with what she has been doing for a while now. Then she says she likes to keep her private life private and talked down about celebs who are overexposed, well lo and behold, she has been overexposed to the point of over saturation in the last 2 years. She puts up a ditzy image, always talking about angles and lighting during interviews but never really going in depth about her artistry (I mean in the recent years, she used to do that before) and yet she whines that people don't take her as a serious artist. I also agree with Mara about the cringe worthy "you guys won't understand, with your normal brains and normal low life 9 to 5 jobs" (not an exact quote). I cringe every time she says stuff like these and she has said it many times, girl needs to know these people work way harder and will be fired if they under perform even once (regardless of age) and she has been under performing in a lot of instances now but we are supposed to excuse that because she is a legend? It doesn't work that way. If you take the coins, you should deliver on your end.

Re: Fat shaming (77,558) (77,559)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Assuming your post is directed at me, I am just saying, first of all I'm talking about body shaming in general and that includes thin shaming. Unless these people are a danger to themselves by being excessively fat or excessively thin (due to anorexia) then we have no business intervening. Also let's not kid ourselves, she isn't "fat". She has a little more meat on her bones than usual but she is by no mean "fat" or "obese". Also once you are past a certain age it becomes difficult to maintain a certain weight sometimes especially for women who go through a lot of hormonal changes (I am not generalizing this because yes people like Madonna and Celine are still thin) but different people have different bodies. She might be on medicines, she might be depressed, she might be in a crisis or heck she might have just decided she wants to eat 2 tacos at once because she earned it and isn't a 20 year old new comer trying to make it big. She can still look fantastic if she dresses right instead of wearing clothes that are not her size and those darn leotards with cut outs that just doesn't represent her well. Again this is my opinion, I'm not trying to push it down anyone's throats. People don't have to agree with me. I call Mariah out on a lot of messes she pulls (her crazy stunts, her shade queen status, her bad performances, her recent lack of work ethic) but this is something different. So I'm not deluded, you should know that all too well by now. Also my original post wasn't directed at anyone on the board, I was referring straight to the article. And hell to the no for that "if you don't agree with something, you are not 'positive' or you are a 'hater'" isn't me, in most cases I'm dubbed as the hater on this board since I lost my rose colored glasses years ago, so boy bye.

Fat shaming (77,553)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
I don't think it's right to fat shame (or body shame in general) anyone whether they are a celeb or not. Let's keep in mind Mariah is a singer, not a model, so she is not obligated to stay a certain size for that. A lot of divas before her have been sizes bigger than her, so it's no big deal. What Mariah should do, if she is happy with her current self is just learn to dress for her size and that isn't difficult. She doesn't even need to be covered up like Adele all the time, she has herself dressed up many times in ensembles that were revealing yet classy and sexy. She has the means to get any stylist she wants and any big name fashion house will gladly make any alterations necessary for her. What she should also do it not over edit her photos to look sizes way too small that people turn it into a joke. A little edit doesn't hurt anybody, everyone does it. Another thing that I would like to say is that if Mariah is not comfortable walking in heels anymore, she should make a bold statement and just go in flats (like Gal Gadot did) or wedged heels or stuff that you can walk in without being held by 2-3 people. This idiotic article claims Mariah is 119 kilos and can't walk without being carried, that is as stupid as it can get because she is no where near that weight, and people who are that weight can walk perfectly fine so what on earth? But we all have noticed that Mariah's walking problem isn't a weight issue, it's just that she doesn't seem to be as comfortable wearing heels anymore so she should just embrace it and kick it off. I know it's part of her diva persona, but don't let the persona engulf the person, that's when things get messy and that's what precisely happened to Mariah. She let her diva persona engulf the beautiful, kind and genius individual that she is, so now people just think of her as a ditzy, egotistic diva who throws shades. No one will try to look beyond her facade, and she can't complain that people don't understand her when she is the one not letting them understand. Lastly, it's none of my business, but Mariah should only lose weight for herself, and nobody else, what I mean is, last time she went on this strict diet for her wedding to Packer, then after that didn't go through, she left it but then again started dieting, to what most assume is to look good next to Tanaka, then again after that ended she let it go. This isn't good for her, so don't try to transform yourself for someone else, instead just do it if you feel the need, if not, then just embrace yourself. There's still time Mariah, drop the diva act, show the real you, address your problems (vocal and otherwise) head on, work with professionals and watch what a difference it makes. Doing so would liberate her, she won't have to constantly put up a show.

Do not insult the iconic Pennywise The Clown by comparing that mess of a woman with it. And managerial work? You all expect too much from a leech. Stella is as much of a manager as JLo is a singer. In fact JLo is better at singing than Stella will ever be at managing.

No one heard about that so called "feud" because no one cares. There was no feud. But leave it to Stella to defend that, yet keep shut when Mariah gets dragged. She responded to the Tommy open letter only because he hinted strongly that Mariah's team is a mess, while he kept praising Mariah and her talent. But Stella had to respond to that because Stella was the one at whom the digs were indicated. There have been way too many instances when Stella only "clapped back" when Stella's name was being dragged, never for Mariah. Only times she responds to "rumors" about Mariah are stuff that doesn't really affect Mariah's image, nor is something anyone cares about.

Wonder why Stella doesn't clap back at these false stories instead of defending how Mairah didn't bang Tanaka in a restroom or on Mariah having a feud with Joe Jonas. Speaking of Joe Jonas, here is a picture of Joe showing some love to the Queen, wearing a t-shirt with her name and image on it, here is the t-shirt.

Absolutely, every single look, every single frame from that special was gorgeous. She looked beautiful, youthful, classy and like a superstar that she is. Everything from the hair, the makeup, the outfits was perfect. As for Mariah not being in NY, it feels so weird to me, because Mariah has gone on and on about how she loves NY, I hope she never sells that penthouse (Andrew has mocked me way more than once about how I once said I'd love to live in her closet, which let's be real is bigger than apartments). Hats off to Stella though, she got Mariah to do something even Nick couldn't after 6 years of marriage, move to LA. Nick used to be in LA a lot because he worked here, while Mariah refused to move to LA and hence she would be alone in NY most of the time and that was one of the many stresses in their marriage, but Stella got Mariah packed up, wrapped up and settled in LA. I heard she has bought a huge place there, which is currently under renovations while she is renting out another house. This sounds permanent.

Not necessarily though. She's probably just doing a song for the movie. Like she did "Almost Home" for Oz. Even the name of the movie is the same as the song, so maybe the producers or someone who is part of the movie asked her to write one for them, knowing that if anyone owns Christmas season, it's Mariah.

I'm happy that finally Mariah is associating herself and her brand with something that is of her level and worth her time. I hope this song gets proper promotion and is received well, and lastly for the video I hope we get less (read: not at all) of this and more of this. She looked stunning in the "Merriest Christmas special".
