You Don't Know What To Do (43,705)
by Terna from Nigeria

I absolutely love it. With just one listen the hook is stuck in my head, like something straight out of Music Box lol. I also love Thirsty too it's kinda like a hybrid of Migrate and Obsessed. Listening to the songs released so far one can tell this album's gonna be up there with her best work. She's bringing her A game for this new album.

Me. I Am Mariah The Elusive Chanteuse (43,127)
by Terna from Nigeria

This stuff is starting now. I love this title and the artwork, I'm getting TEOM vibes. This is her most elaborate album title yet lol. I love it. Did you guys notice it' the same photoshoot for TAOLG single? ay 27th isn't too far a pushback and it gives her and her team enough promo time leading up to the album release. I read somewhere that the album title trended on twitter for hours shortly after it was announced. Wow, Mariah's a genius.

Nobody's here for all that noise you keep making about "not buying the album when it drops". Yeah right when we all know you'll be one of the first people to rush out and buy it. Just spare us the headaches for having to hear you say it for the umpteenth time, you're beginning to sound like a broken record.

Billboard cover (42,894)
by Terna from Nigeria
| |
|
|
It's funny how all the drama subsided the minute this promo pic surfaced, and now news of the possible digital album surprise release, maybe word of the twitter wars with JD got to her ears lol. I'm loving this Billboard cover though, it's simple and grabs one's attention, the colored version is even more stunning. Mariah is a beautiful woman. I'm getting Music Box album cover artwork and also Obsessed (the single artwork) vibes from it though.

You've been actively censoring posts latetly, blotching out words and sometimes phrases you feel are inappropriate, yet a whole post by Angelo, a very disrespecting and insulting post went unedited and uncensored. Makes one wonder what exactly the criteria is you use when censoring messages. [Angelo did not disrespect Mariah, he's just very upset about the delay and seeing other messages he's not the only one. He only said Mariah should be ashamed for pushing back the album agian and again.]

In my fourteen years of coming to this site, I have never read a message more disrespectful than this message you posted. What where you thinking? Honestly, you should be ashamed of yourself for cooking up something so vile, all because there's an unconfirmed rumour of an album pushback. And shame to all of you guys who gave him thumbs up for disrespecting Mariah like that. Sometimes I wonder what some of you take Mariah for. Its such a pity to see such on a Mariah fan site, the one place one would hope to see positive things being said about her.

Sorry Randy, I do not see the humour in that post suppossedly just for laughs. "Mariah buried" really? I didn't know you wished her dead. I found that post offensive and insensitive, borderline just straight up malicious coming from a fan. And don't get me wrong, I'll laugh at a good joke even if it's about Mariah, as long as it doesn't cross that line to come across as disturbing and your joke did. That's the woman's body of work, a lifetime's work you playing with trying to make a joke out of. "Arm-bracelet"? I'm guessing this in reference to her shoulder injury last year that affected her arm. I refuse to see the humour in this as it's just insensitive. Just saying.

Nick Cannon (42,391)

I bet when Nick sits back at home and replays that interview he'll realize how bad he came across. A gentleman never kisses and tells. His kids are gonna grow up someday, maybe stumble upon it on YouTube and have to hear all that. Someone was like it doesn't tell on Mariah if Nick's behaving badly and it doesn't affect her career, but I beg to differ, he is her better half now, she's even the first person that would be though of every time he slips up (Isn't that Mariah Carey's husband?), heck it's even mostly always about Mariah like in this interview. They've been together almost six years and also have two kids together so when he's prone to run his mouth, it should occur to him that he's a father and a husband now, even before a celeb and that should keep him grounded, with that clown act out the window.

Just a thought (42,270)
by Terna from Nigeria

I have a feeling Mariah is working on more than one album, that would explain a lot. Knowing how unsurpportive IDJ have become rescently, she's not about to let them ruin this era with their issues. She is much aware of the fact they are to blame over the underperformance of MOAIA and the wrong single choices since E=MC2 era. She might be working on two albums, one to fufill her contract with IDJ and the second for the new label.

I love your posts, reading them one can tell you're not a fan who blindly supports each and everything Mariah does, but at the same time you're constructive in your criticisms and optimistic, even when things seem bleak. There's been way too much negatity on this board lately and your posts are indeed a breath of fresh air.

You're Mine (41,189)
by Terna from Nigeria

I Love it. It's sleek and mellow, just really a lovers' jam. Melodic wise, it's very catchy and sits in your mind with just one listen. Just beautiful. I also love how its hooks aren't even obvious, and those vocals are on point. Mariah Carey is indeed a music genius. Currently it sits at No.11 on iTunes USA so I guess it resonates with the general public. Congrats Mariah for yet another gem added to your already vast body of work. Lots of love.

Your post really struck a chord with me, kinda mirroring everything I have been feeling about her latetly. I've been a lamb since I was in my early teens and the Mariah I fell in love with is just not the one I see today. I'm losing faith in her talent and interest also. Something indeed changed her, maybe Tommy Mottola. But I also agree "he was a great filter". I recall he was even the one who encouraged her to keep "Hero" for herself. A song that can now be considered her signature song, and with Tommy still in the picture, such crap like "Triumphant" where you're featured on your own song never saw the light of day. He may have been controlling, but that man knew his job.

Licia, Jeremy, Mariah's voice (40,100)
by Terna from Nigeria
| |
|
|
It's [...] Licia and yes I was reffering to the Rockerfeller performance. To me those performances are also strained. I didn't even bother with the tree lighting performance after watching the former. Jeremy, you have a point. It could've also been as a result of the cold in the case of the later, but then again there's the bubbly issue. I wish she would just give up the alchohol altogether. It's wrecked her voice, especially the tone, quality and ease of singing. Mariah has too many yes people around her who are to scared to tell her: Hey Mariah slow down on the bubbly or better yet put it away. Even Nick Cannon apparently. Sorry guys, it may seem like I'm venting, but it's because I care. I'm [...] worried and not only about her voice, but her health too.

Rockefeller tree lighting performance (40,085)
by Terna from Nigeria
| |
|
|
I'm so upset right now. Are we listening to the same performance here? Mariah really struggles on both songs she performed. She sounded arid, really hoarse and just all over the place and latetly it seems switching into the high notes is kinda a saver of a totally horrendous performance which is what this was. If this is the way she's sounding now makes me wonder what kinda vocals are gonna be on the album.

Mariah Carey and TAOLG (39,977)
by Terna from Nigeria
| |
|
|
[...] I deduce that this song is about Tommy. She talked about a certain emotion being strong and present on the track when she was interviewed on CNN. Well, its definitely [...] I sense as I listen, [...] too. It's just as [...] as the whole Memoirs album was. Tommy must've hurt her real bad for her to still be dwelling on it after all this time. She even seems different now. That carefree spirit she had kinda like a child is not really there anymore, she even said so herself something about the Industry.

Mariah's signature song (39,402)
by Terna from Nigeria
| |
|
|
In my opinion, is "Hero". It's also the song she's performed the most and most people that don't necessarily like or even know her just automatically know that song almost as if it's a good old regular hymn sung in church. Quite baffling too. If that's not the definition of an evergreen, I don't what is.

Worth the wait (39,353)
by Terna from Nigeria

It's Mariah Carey we're talking about here guys. It's always worth the wait when Mariah sorta disappears from the public eye working on new music, forgotten The Emancipation Of Mimi already? Chill, she knows what she is doing. I have 100% faith in her. She's gonna bring it like never before. Major amunition as Bryant said. Lol.
