She wouldn't have this mania frenzy if she had stayed in country music. Country music fans and radio pushed her out of the country music genre for her boring non-traditional country love songs. Release (105,879) by Tevin from USA Personally I don't see a problem with Taylor doing what she is doing. 1. It's just business. 2. No one is forcing her fans to purchase those extra albums. 3. Please re read point #2, no one is holding a gun to her fans heads and making them buy the items. If they don't want the items, great don't buy them, if they do want the items to support Taylor, then cool buy the triple release deluxe version of a reissued album (lol, you get the point). I have adult female friends who are obsessed with Taylor swift, they say they have no problem spending their hard earned money on this stuff. Now when it comes to younger teens or kids who may be influenced to spend money on all this reissued Taylor albums, well if their parents are cool with it, great, but if they aren't, then they should do like my parents did for me when I was young, and told me, no, or find a way to save up to buy something. Basically what I'm saying is, Taylor isn't doing anything wrong. She found a way to continue to leverage her brand. It's just business, and no one is forcing anyone to continue to buy or support her stuff. If anything blame the fans. Shoot how many projects have Mariah done that fans bought in to, for her to then drop it like it never existed, at least Taylor sees her stuff through to fruition. To each heir own but I'm my opinion, it's disgusting that anyone would do that to their fans and take advantage of them like this. I can understand a deluxe version with new tracks but anything more than that is just unnecessary. I'm glad I'm not a fan because I work hard for my money and would not want to spend it like this. Don't even get me started on the recycling of entire albums. I know why she did it but I still don't like it. I don't have a rich mom and dad to pay for my 4 versions of the same album. Also I'm curious to know why this Vegas residency is TEOM themed? What's the significance? It's not a milestone year and if she was going to do a residency eitherways why market it for an album released 19 years ago? Anyways as frustrated as Mariah's business moves make me, I gotta say I'm grateful she doesn't rob the fans like some artists are doing aka Taylor Swift releasing multiple versions of the same album with only 1 exclusive track in each to basically make fans buy 4 "limited edition" versions of the same album. This is on top of the tour, tour merch, tour movie at cinemas, the tour movie rental and now the tour movie streaming. That on top of releasing re-recordings of old albums and there's 2 more to go. No new album in 2024 (105,848) by T from USA I'm hearing that there indeed will be no new album this year. MC16 is nowhere near completion and she doesn't have a label either. For fans that loved MIAMTEC I'm sure when something finally comes it will be in the vein of that album that took time to release (2011-2014). And less like Caution that was all done in a matter of months. Jay Z and Roc Nation lined up ten different producers and Mariah just banged out Caution in record time. MC16 will be more of a personal work that has sit with her for years before release. The question will be if any of the Butterfly Lounge ideas will make it on. The Yes And remix was recorded to hold fans over until Christmas which will be a big 30th anniversary later this year. Controversial (105,797) by Libra Lamb from USA I think her confidence would be much higher and thus likely to release music more often, do more live performances and be in the spotlight a lot more. It's a shame we have to go so long without hearing new music but we'll always have her extensive catalogue and nobody will take that away or forget her. She should be studied in Music School, I believe some already have. The Mariah Carey course has a nice ring to it. She's unique in a lot of ways, always imitated but never duplicated.
