About Lainsky from Philippines: A Mariah Carey fan since "Love Takes Time." However, "Butterfly" remains my favorite album of all time. Timeless!

Caution (87,430) by Lainsky from Philippines
I am seeing revival and campaign already about this album. Well, I understand these concerns for I feel the same way. However, I also believe it's a bit early. Mariah still has a tour and a promotion for this album. We can wait for it in the meantime. Meanwhile, let's just hope that she will release very soon a follow up single or two. I believe the title track Caution should be released with a video as well as Giving Me Life. These songs might have the potential to pull some sales for the album or, if not, for the listening public to at least request, play, stream, download or anything that songs today are being measured for.

Article: The undying diva power of Mariah Carey (86,684) by Lainsky from Philippines
Not only that this article or interview is aptly titled but also, it is very honest and humble content as Mariah's responses. Truly, she has the undying power of a diva in its real sense of the word. Go Mariah, sing your heart out with what your heart says and not just by anyone tells through any medium, especially to the fans who can't get over of your younger self. It's either they love or hate the present you and I still adore you dear. So, care to release Caution, Giving Me Life and SLLY? Lol.

Article: Mariah Carey dismisses her haters on Caution (86,607) by Lainsky from Philippines
Agree. Giving Me Life is the second best track for me in this album next to Caution. It highlights the bedroom lower vocal range of Mariah and I am loving it. I hope these two tracks will be released commercially with a video together with Stay Long Love You. These three are on repeat on my playlist for almost two weeks now. A No No follows.

Caution outstanding songs for me (86,178) by Lainsky from Philippines
Excluding the four already out singles, the three songs I would like Mariah to release is 1. Caution - commercially appealing and very relevant, it has the potential to become #1 i.e. if the radio DJs will be fair. 2. Giving Me Life - another standout and a potential hit. 3. Stay Long Love You - good for finale single release for this album. However, Caution really for me is the best single from this album. Hopefully, like Honey and Emotions, this title track make it to No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Yes, I may be a fan since Love Takes Time and I still want to see her on top of the charts. If not, it's totally fine.

Article: This Is Mariah Carey's "Caution" album cover art (84,979) by Lainsky from Philippines
I wish the pink "Caution" strips with her one eye only is the cover of the album. It is beautiful unique and more mysteriously appealing. I am not hating nor complaining about this one. My comment though is this is so typical or ordinary. She can put this on the inside or at the back. Just saying.

Initial impression - With You (84,309) by Lainsky from Philippines
As I listened to it for the first time, the first song the came into my mind was "For The Record". It has the same vibe and sound. Then after listening to it after several times, I realized this is no different from "We Belong Together" or "Don't Forget About Us" and also the weaker "Angel's Cry" and "You're Mine (Eternal)". This song falls somewhere in between these two groups of her previous ballads. WBT and DFAU of course were the strong and intense singles while AC and YME were have to be album cuts made for die hard lambs. So, this could be a hit or not a hit in terms of charts and airplay. But who knows, radio DJs now could be no longer Mariah haters and they could possibly love playing this song. It could also has an appeal to younger music enthusiasts and possibly gain new fans for Mariah. But for not so young fans like me, I do not hate it, I do not love it. I simply like it like GTFO and not digging it a lot. Don't get me wrong please, WY could be a hit. It leans toward WBT vibe but not as strong so, let's see. Although, I was hoping an uptempo official lead track like she used to release. Maybe her next single.

These are rare gems that lambs would probably love to hear live. Especially Breakdown and Butterfly.

If Celine can (83,204) by Lainsky from Philippines
Mariah can do too. I love and believe in her no matter what. Celine Dion is 49 and just had her 2-nights concert here in Manila. She sang those songs with high long notes like in her early days not as close as the original but still very very very close, on point and with so much energy. Watching her made me realize that these two divas started their careers almost at the same time and both were popular at the same time. Up to this day Celine has maintained her vocal prowess. Watching Mariah in her TBR videos, seemed like she has resorted to simply entertaining the crowd and business. Her heart seemed to be no longer on performing and it shows on her vocal performance. I know Mariah still has that vocal prowess in her. I could be wrong but perhaps it's their heart and a sense of balance for their respective music careers and life that makes a difference between the two. This is just an observation I came up after seeing Celine. I mean Mariah can learn something from her. Mariah's fan still deserves that heart-pouring performance from her

Article: The good, the bad and the ugly of "Loverboy" (83,151) by Lainsky from Philippines
Glitter remains one the best soundtracks and albums of Mariah in terms of quality and musicality. The movie was not that bad as the critics claimed. If not for the 9/11 tragedy, I still believe things could have been different and way much better. However, there are no accidents nor coincidences. Things happen for many reasons. And Mariah was able to learn from such uncontrolled and unforeseen circumstances. There's one thing that will never change... it's still a very good high quality album.

Re: New album (81,414) (81,415) by Lainsky from Philippines
Agree. If my understanding is correct, it is like "Memoirs" only it's confessions no guest rappers (but there should be a remix - her signature with guest rappers).

New album title (81,413) by Lainsky from Philippines
I hope Mariah returns to her one word title with a track of the same title like in the 90s. I kind of miss that.

No news (81,116) by Lainsky from Philippines
Not that I do not want to hear anything from Mariah but I am glad somehow that there has been no news about her (or I just missed it or this archives missed it) for almost a week or more. I hope she just stays low and make noise later with the new single and then album. I miss her and her music and I do hope many people, lambs or not, feel the same way and be excitedly anticipate the upcoming release.

Article: Mariah Carey's Butterfly is the truth: the album at 20 (78,379) by Lainsky from Philippines
Remains the best album for me of all time. I can still remember how my jaw dropped in shock upon seeing her transformation. However, I absolutely love it. Musically and artistically, she's at her best in this album. She is who she is. Hopefully in her next album another transformation of her would take place... a real full-grown, mature Butterfly musically, artistically, and as a woman.

I could not agree more. Wishing her next album will sound like this even just for a nostalgic purposes. Come on she loves doing it anyway in her concerts.

Infamous is... (66,878) by Lainsky from Philippines
Better to stay as a song from that Empire soundtrack and that's it. Well, just my opinion after listening from it for the first time. Who knows it grows in me and my opinion might change but that does not matter anyway. What matters is how the listening public, radio DJs, and music buyers would take it. Sorry but I just terribly miss her Pop with RnB twist sound.

Record over 40's (64,663) by Lainsky from Philippines
Now that Sia is the third (or is it fourth?) female to reach No. 1 with the age over 40 (Madonna was 42 and Cher was 52 when they got their last No.1s), still I have high hopes that Mariah could visit again the Billboard Hot 100 and top the chart. Anyway, it's a very familiar place for her.

Album 2016 (60,657) by Lainsky from Philippines
If she will release a new album this year I just hope she brings back the sound of her 90's music. Pop leaning towards R&B. Either with a mid-tempo or heavy love song ballad (ala Lead The Way) as a carrier single. I miss those sounds of her. And Mariah can title her album with "Like Old Days" or any one-word title like she used to do. Lately I've been listening and liking a lot "To Be Around You", "Love Takes Time" and "Lead The Way" and I realized gosh I am missing her old music. If Adele can pull off a ballad piano-accompanied-only, why can't she?
