About Lainsky from Philippines: A Mariah Carey fan since "Love Takes Time." However, "Butterfly" remains my favorite album of all time. Timeless!

Weakness Of The Body (51,255) by Lainsky from Philippines
I came across with her demo tape on YouTube and I found this song really nice. It would be great if she will record it today and make it as carrier single of her upcoming re-edition of #1s, if she's going to include new songs. I think it would be better if it is a 2-CD album. All her 18 number 1s on one CD and new or unreleased songs like this one on the other. That would be awesome. I am sorry but I can't get over with this song. It sounds so fresh after 29 years.

#1s Glitter Uptown Funk (49,257) by Lainsky from Philippines
If Mariah is releasing another compilation of her No. 1 songs as her offering and celebration of her 25 years in music, I have nothing against that. But she should include killer new singles that could possible go to number 1. Yes I still care about her chart performance. I hope she worked with or sing with Bruno Mars. Uptown Funk is a nice song that reminds of her Glitter album because of the sound. I think if this is the year the she will release Glitter, it will be more relevant to today's music and perhaps will sell more. Anyway just a thought for I simply love this album. I'm just glad she's still around after 25 years.

The Elusive Chanteuse DVD (47,944) by Lainsky from Philippines
Although she started a bit rough that has yielded not so good reviews, she silenced all her bashers and concluded the concert tour with a bang by giving great vocal performances from the middle till the end of the tour. Hopefully, IDJ will release a DVD like TAOM with all her great performances of the tracks she performed including the medley of those songs she rarely performs. Then it will be good if it will coincide with the re-release of MIAMTEC album with a few new tracks, which if they will do, would be better to release on Christmas day or a week before that with some promo singles, video and also in time for her Christmas mini-concert in NY.

Ariana (current) Mariah (timeless) (46,772) by Lainsky from Philippines
Okay I know people are tired already comparing the two but allow me to get you tired just a little bit. I listened to her rendition of Emotions and AIWFCIY and yes the girl can definitely sing. However, not because I am a Mariah fan okay, again however, her voice is not as powerful and solid as Mariah's. I like Ariana because she has a voice and can sing too distinctively. I am happy that this generation still has a great singer and good music I guess in her. But of course, no one could ever take MC's place and equal her artistry and musicality. Come on people. Mariah has the unique soaring voice with melisma, talent to write, to produce music and even direct her own video. She's a true artist and icon. Timeless I must say.

The Elusive Chanteuse Show dreamlist (46,357) by Lainsky from Philippines
I saw her live for the first time back in 2004 here in Manila during her Charmbracelet Asian tour and the songs I can still remember she performed that made the crowd gone wild were the first song as she was entering the stage Heartbreaker, Always Be My Baby, Dreamlover and Honey. The most expensive ticket that time has now tripled for this year's show so I am not sure if I will watch it but we'll see. Anyway, below is my dream songlist.
1. YDKWTD
2. Heartbreaker remix/album version
3. Always Be My Baby remix
4. Don't Forget About Us
5. Dreamlover TAOM version
6. You're Mine (Eternal)
7. Sweetheart
8. My All/Stay A While
9. One More Try
10. Breakdown
11. Angels Cry
12. Meteorite
13. Fantasy
14. Heavenly (No Ways Tired/Can't Give Up Now)
15. Fly Like A Bird
16. We Belong Together
It would be great if she will sing Butterfly live.

Imperfect (46,013) by Lainsky from Philippines

Too bad this song was not part of the album MOAIA. It is too perfect not to be included in my opinion and it could have been the first single. I love it.

Seemingly out of rhythm or whatever (46,011) by Lainsky from Philippines
It's A Wrap and Betcha Gon' Know are seemingly out of rhythm, melody or context from the tracks of MIAMTEC. Well it's just my opinion. It could have ended with Heavenly and then bonus tracks are the remixes of Thirsty, YME and YDKWTD. Then I inserted Triumphant (No Rap) before Cry and it fits I guess. Just happy with the album but still can't believe no video or promotions for YDWTD and Meteorite. And she's coming to Manila. Great.

Thirsty and YDKWTD and other stand out singles (45,697) by Lainsky from Philippines
After listening to MIAMTEC for almost three months these are the stand out singles for me:
1. You Don't Know What To Do (I hope a video will come)
2. Meteorite (I hope they will release this too)
3. Thirsty (re-release is a good idea with a video)
4. One More Try (good remake I guess)
5. Heavenly (good ending release)
Money (good RnB release)
I heard Thirsty and YDWTD over 89.1 here in Manila. It feels great to hear MC songs over the radio. Timeless.

YDKWTD remix (45,250) by Lainsky from Philippines
So loving it. Nicely done. It has a vibe of 80s classic disco sound with modern touch. I hope this song really get to No.1 in the US Billboard Hot 100.

Ty of USA 44,972 post (45,023) by Lainsky from Philippines
I completely agree with everything you said. Also I listened to YDKWTD no rap version and for the first time (I like Fantasy, Honey and Loverboy without a rap) I guess Wale put some flavor on it and I like it more than this no rap version. Perhaps I got used to most of her songs with rap and it is clearly a signature of MC. She's the one who started this kind of trend in songs anyway.

YDWTD (44,966) by Lainsky from Philippines
Just happy this was released as an official single. I hope the video will be in the likes of Honey, Heartbreaker or It's Like That and this song will propel the album sales and the single itself. Meteorite should be next then One More Try, Heavenly and lastly Dedicated or Faded. And oh let's pray that this become her 19th No.1 single. Yes I still care about the chart when there's a chance.

MIAMTEC and "How to solve..." thoughts (44,796) by Lainsky from Philippines
I hope the person in charge of her professionally should have read these suggestions. Somehow I agree with what Eckstine said last, the she might tone down the "va va voom" image and reunite with people he mentioned in doing music. Also the suggestion of creating a mature version of her old music without loosing her identity as an artist. I do not agree that she go to the Celine direction, she continues to create music but age and phase-of-her-life appropriate and audience. Doing "country" music, not sure with this but she can try. I wish she will do a full gospel album full of inspirational and Christian songs. That would be an amazing way to celebrate her 25th year in business. As for the latest album, IMO this is a slightly mature version of Butterfly and TEOM. "Thirsty" for me is nice but it seems to be out of place. I hope and pray this album will resuscitate by releasing singles with videos and here are my top 5 bets and why.
1. YDWTD - It's like Fantasy or Dreamlover, has a commercial appeal.
2. Meteorite - This is a good risk, new, fresh, sound relevant.
3. Thirsty or Faded - For her RnB audience.
4. One More Try - For her Pop audience.
5. Heavenly - Release it as the last single, of all her gospel songs this was the best. The last three songs can be released all at once as promo, radio, or ($0.49 again - lol just kidding but they used to do this). Again these are just thoughts with hope that it can happen.

YDKWTD - excellent (44,505) by Lainsky from Philippines
I agree with most of you here. This should be released as the single and then Meteorite. But I really like Heavenly and Money.

Singles for release (44,303) by Lainsky from Philippines
After listening to the album's songs via YouTube twice, the standout singles for me are YDWTD, Meteorite and Heavenly. Commercially, I believe YDWTD should be released right now as in now, not later, not tomorrow but right now. It has appeal not only for commercial but also to her 90s fans. Meteorite, like most of you here said, is a new sound but I like it too. And Heavenly is just superb. Dedicated sounds like Cater 2 U by DC. Alongside with YDWTD, Thirsty is a good single for RnB radio. Releasing two songs at once I guess is a cool idea. But there must be a single release for this album. Love the album as a whole but I won't buy it in the next 6 months. I am afraid she might re-release this later this year like what she did with her previous album. I will just wait and see.

YDKWTD - excellent (43,852) by Lainsky from Philippines
Oh yes, for me this is the type of music that she should be releasing these days. It is like a mix of her 90s self and the elusive chanteuse. I hope this will propel the sale of the album and make it to No.1 both this single and the album. This is so wonderful. Now I can say I totally miss her because I can't stop listening to it. Oh dear.

You're Mine (Eternal) (42,331) by Lainsky from Philippines
Yey. For the first time I heard this song of Mariah from the hottest station in the country thrice in four hours. It slowly gaining popularity here so I hope it is the same in the radio stations in the US. Well just sharing.

Migrate or Standing O (42,220) by Lainsky from Philippines
Somebody posted here that Migrate is timely for this season in music. I agree and also with Standing O, so I hope MC will release something like this.

You're Mine out of Hot 100 (41,924) by Lainsky from Philippines
Depressing, yeah perhaps all the critiques are true for it is struggling. This is not the way a Mariah single from an upcoming album usually performs in the chart. Still I love it. It's nice and it's very her. I hope the next one will be a success.

No.88 You're Mine (41,525) by Lainsky from Philippines
Not bad and it will continue to rise up for it will grow on people ala WBT. So MC dissers, you can shut up for a moment and see how this song will bring back MC on top once again.

You're Mine (41,381) by Lainsky from Philippines
This is a Mariah signatue song and whatever other people say and whether it becomes a hit or not or No.1 or not, I still damn like it very much. IMO this is much better than Beautiful and TAOLG and close to WBT, so let's hope and pray that this song will be her 19th and the album will become her 7th No.1. Come on guys, this is a very nice song in this time of her career and in this time where trashy songs are all over the place.

Collaborations (40,835) by Lainsky from Philippines
With all these collaborations with this rapper and that, I am sensing somehow that this album to be released will not have a huge difference from the previous releases. I could be wrong.

Everything Fades Away (40,420) by Lainsky from Philippines
In Asia, or at least here in the Philippines, this is the last album cut for Music Box. Also this is the first ever Mariah album I bought when Hero was so popular here and you can virtually hear it everyday almost everywhere for almost a year! Since then I bought each and every album she released. Until now, the only DVD I am missing is the very first video she has, The First Vision. I can't find it.
