About Edward from USA:

One long month (110,782) by Edward from USA
Jamie, stop being a glutton. If she keeps dropping new stuff now, we'll have nothing left by September 26. I know the wait is brutal, but hang in there. Besides, rumor has it there's a Mariah-only version of Sugar Sweet.

And that doesn't seem to be a mistake since the Billboard article clearly mentions only two collabos. I think Mariah released the remix first. Interesting.

Guys, remember that "Reprimand MCA Remix" is a hidden track. That's why is not part of the official tracklist.

What's wrong with MC (110,690) by Edward from USA
Did you see the video Britney posted on social media? She was dancing wildly with two huge knives, and the police ended up at her door. While I don't think she should lose all control over her life and finances, it's clear that some kind of support system should be in place to protect her from herself. Sadly, Mariah seems to be in a similar situation, she doesn't appear to have many people around her who truly care for her, even if the "hen" stops laying golden eggs.

Vanguard Award - JLo? (110,678) by Edward from USA
Jennifer Lopez has really only one truly award-worthy video and that's "If You Had My Love". The rest are pretty average. Mariah has many iconic ones. Here's my top 5:
1. Heartbreaker
2. Honey
3. Butterfly
4. Touch My Body
5. My All

Hare For AI All (110,607) by Edward from USA
AI is getting scary good. If I didn't know this was AI, I would've though it was a new song from Mariah. Fans are getting very creative with whistle placements and background vocals.

I think it's time for Mariah to reveal the "Here For It All" tracklist, and hopefully let us know if there will be any special editions for outlets like "Walmart" or "Amazon".

Daydream anniversary (110,584) by Edward from USA
What if Mariah finally released "Someone's Ugly Daughter" alongside "Here For It All"? Or maybe she could let some of those unrelerased gems from the "Daydream" sessions out the vault. Her voice from that era was so distinctive, so honest. One can only dream.

Here For It All snippet (110,530) by Edward from USA
According to Mariah in a UK interview, “Here For It All” starts as a ballad, shifts into a midtempo groove, and then builds into a gospel moment.

Back to chart obsession (110,522) by Edward from USA
I still think that if "Sugar Sweet" had been released by any current artist, it would've been a hit. It's a very catchy song. It has written Summer all over it. It could've benefited from a punchy bridge though. These days artists are kind of lazy and bridges are becoming a thing of the past. In my opinion, #Beautiful needed one too, it's always seemed too short to me.

I would be a completely different person (110,511) by Edward from USA
Be careful, Zachariah is a mouth shutter, he shuts people's mouth. Mariah couldn't keep singing "SS" because Kehlani and Shenseea weren't there to support her or maybe the song is very difficult to sing. There's also a possibility that Mariah couldn't hear herself. This is what I think is happening though: Mariah started defrosting too early this year.

Here For It All (110,474) by Edward from USA
If I were Mariah, I would drop the album while the buzz is still hot, ideally within the next two weeks, while she's out promoting and the media is talking about it. It's clear now that the plan was for either "Type Dangerous" or "Sugar Sweet" to blow up and build momentum leading to the "Here For It All" release in September, but we're witnessing that's not how it's playing out.

Taylor Swift (110,471) by Edward from USA
Exactly my sentiment. I love Bobby A's positive outlook, but having realistic expectations matters too. If "Sugar Sweet" had been released by Ariana or any other hot artist of the moment, I'm sure it would've taken off. Sadly, Mariah just isn't on most people's radar these days. We, her remaining fans, will always root for her, but it's becoming clear that the general public just doesn't connect with her as an artist anymore, almost as if they can't relate. That's why she hasn't been able to ride the wave of AIWFCIY into a big follow-up project. Maybe she's said everything she had to say, but until she starts singing from her heart again, I don't see anything changing.

I can only name one Taylor Swift song, and that's because it shares a title with one of Mariah's, "Shake It Off". I'm not a fan of her music, even though I did give "Red" and its twenty variations a try. But when fans in non-English speaking countries are willing to camp outside stadiums for three months just to see her, regardless of promotions or record labels, it's clear she's universally loved like Mariah once was, before her diva persona took over.

Taylor Swift (110,458) by Edward from USA
Just like there wasn't a chart-showdown in 2018, there won't be one in September. That's called living and reality. What I won't be is a "yass queen" acting like it's still the '90s or 2005. I'd like to be proven wrong but I'm not holding my breath. I do think "Here For It All" will be a good album though.

Here For It All (110,447) by Edward from USA
I have to agree with you about her vocals sounding a bit "chipmunkey" on the belting part of the "HFIA" clip. As for that impromptu performance of "Stay the Night", it was from about five years ago, during the pandemic. At the time, she said she'd gotten her voice back and wouldn't ever tour again, but sadly, that didn't last. I don't think she could replicate those vocals today; her voice is just too far gone.

Mariah is a perfectionist, so what we're hearing in the "HFIA" clip is most likely the very best she could deliver, chosen from multiple takes. It's sad, but I think this is simply where her voice is now.

Here For It All snippet (110,445) by Edward from USA
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but I'm not loving those vocals in the clip. Hopefully, the full song hits differently. Her voice sounds a bit strained here, though I do appreciate that it's a power ballad, we haven't had one from her in 11 years.

Taylor Swift (110,441) by Edward from USA
Bobby A, sometimes I think you live in an alternate universe. Mariah isn't competing with anyone with "Here For It All". She's a legacy artist now, her last 11-track album came out nearly a decade ago. It's more like when Streisand or other legacy artists release something: their core fans eat it up, but that's about it.

Back in the '90s, when Mariah and Whitney were killing it, did you really think any legacy artist from that time could compete with them? Exactly. So let's not pretend we're still in that era where a new Mariah release is a head-to-head chart battle. This is a completely different stage of her career.

Here's what will likely happen: the album drops, us Lambs grab it immediately, and within three or four weeks, it's gone from the Billboard Top 100 albums. Mariah's waited too long, and outside of us devoted fans, most people have moved on. That's not pessimism, just a dose of realism. Which is why I'm hoping it's a great album, one that earns solid reviews and a few well-deserved accolades.

In short, that chart-showdown you're fantasizing about? It's not going to happen.

Bryan Tanaka (110,430) by Edward from USA
One thing I'll say is that Bryan genuinely cared for her. It was reassuring to know he was by her side. But deep down, I think we all knew it wouldn't work in the long run. It was clear Tanaka wanted more than just to hang out and have fun, he wasn't just playing house. I believe at some point he even proposed, but Mariah turned him down. It makes sense that he'd move on from a relationship that wasn't going anywhere. He's young, and he probably wants a family.

Great music (110,409) by Edward from USA
I love the fact the board isn't stuck on the idea that great music has to equal chart positions anymore. These days, almost anything can blow up into a forgettable hit and disappear just as fast. Of course, I would like to see Mariah score a couple of big hits, but I'm not losing sleep over it. She's already proven herself time and time again. At the end of the day, the general public has the lard word on what catches on, and that's fine. Personally, I'd rather not hear any more new tracks before the album drops, unless it's a video or some fun remixes for "Sugar Sweet". I want to savor "Here For It All" the way we used to, sitting down, pressing play, and letting the whole album take me on a journey from start to finish.
