About Edward from USA:

Bring me the money (75,468) by Edward from USA
If these stunts translated into anything positive like albums/singles sales, I would at least say everything's justified, but sadly that's not the case. When you see Stella crying telling Mariah she was so moved when Mariah was laying down her "soulful vocals" for "Oh no, she Didn't", there's a big problem. If Stella's the one who's going to give Mariah credible and honest criticism on her upcoming music, we're up for a big surprise.

Media whore? (75,448) by Edward from USA
I don't quite understand why Mariah keeps trying with these fake relationships. I think that at some point Nick was buying into it, but kind of backed down. She used to be mysterious and elusive, now she's just like any other reality TV persona seeking media attention. She's known by the new generation but anything but music. It's sad. Then some people wonder why there's a disconnect between her fans and what she has become being the main act at Cirque Du Stella. Is anybody being real to Mariah, at all?

Re: Second favorite artists (75,379) (75,385) by Edward from USA
1. Eva Cassidy
2. George Michael
3. The Cranberries
Andy, I've always defended your liking of "Right to Dream", I even gave it your name as a title (Andy's Theme). I can't believe you told me to shut up, Andrew is the one who should be nailed on the cross for that.

36 and proud to have experienced the greatness of Mariah's music in the 90's, and beyond. Mimi L., you shouldn't post messages after 10pm., neither the other babies in here.

The ultimate Mariah Carey song poll (75,286) by Edward from USA
Well, in terms of depth, lyrics, imagery, delivery, I would have to go with Butterfly. Butterfly is definitely no Vision of Love when it comes to vocal acrobatics, but it is way better when it comes to passion, lyrics, and soul. Butterfly is an epic song with an equally great video. I believe it to be lyrically comparable only to "Close My Eyes", "Petals" and "Outside". Mariah poured her soul into that song and successfully replicated the same sentiment in its accompanying video. There was not tits-touching, no vanity shots, not middle finger given, just pure soul pushed into the universe with an incomparable delivery. Yes, Butterfly even though it was sung in a semi whisper register is extremely difficult to sing, just like My All. Jessica Sanchez from American Idol matched Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" note by note, and she was praised by critics the day after left and right, but when Jennifer Lopez chose "My All" for her to sing, she struggled, had she had a synthetic wig that day, it would've fried on her head. Jennifer even said: "I didn't know it was that difficult/hard." I love me some Daydream, but Mariah really came alive on Butterfly. Oh how I miss those times when Mariah's lyrics were simple, yet poetic and deep.

Re: The turd turbulence (75,231) (75,236) by Edward from USA
Drew, that's never going to happen. Everything that goes on Mariah's World is due to some external forces working against her. You can read the Delulons here stating how she had to fire JD and Randy Jackson because they were responsible for the demise of MIAM and her American Idol fiasco respectively, and they state that as facts, as if they could produce any proof that it happened that way. LA Reid made a comment and all of a sudden everything he did for Mariah is done and forgotten, now he's the bad guy and partially guilty for Mariah's big balloons and cheek implants. Some even deny Mariah has done anything to her new Stella-look-alike face when it's effing clear the woman has been on Hollywood mode for quite sometime now. Yes, there are people working with Mariah that are definitely incompetent, but Mariah hired them. These leeches most of us talk about didn't just come out of nowhere, they were put in place by Ms. Carey. So, if Ms. Carey doesn't care about these leeches leeching on her, I say they should leech on her mercilessly. It's her money and even if Stella and posse leached 50 million from her, she'll still be OK. If there isn't any desire in Mariah for making good music as she's been showing with these mediocre singles and remixes, I think she should just retire and keep on doing reality TV, she's very good at it, and she doesn't have to sing.

Re: Sylvia Rhone (75,164) (75,169) by Edward from USA
Since LA Reid was kind of too complacent with Mariah, I hope this new person light a fire on Mariah's ass so she could start being serious about her career and produce some great music, even if it's out of anger. She could deal with the anger taking some classes for management after the great success of the album. She's signed to a business, and they don't want to make a few coins every three or fours years. Waiting a hundred years to put music out with so many new acts coming left and right doesn't make sense, especially when your star is fading, just like what happened with everybody else. Nobody stays on top for ever. If Mariah were selling like in the 90's, a few years hiatus would be OK, but at this point in her career, she should be in the public eye, but not for perfumes and reality shoes, but for her music.

Re: LA is leaving Epic (75,155) (75,165) by Edward from USA
Travon, nice seeing you around. I was just thinking about sending "Todd from Australia" to pay you a visit and make you post more often. I know that wigs, weaves, hats, fake boobs, and Sunday church dresses have been snatched here from time to time, but we're still here. Mimi L. even changed her continent, she used to be from Asia. Andrew has risen from the dead after all his many cyber-hangings and crucifixions. We have Stella posting as if she were from France, and then replying to herself with her other account where she's from Africa. See, everything is crazy, but we get along, sometimes. Lol.

Re: Songs you wish Mariah would do (75,127) (75,130) by Edward from USA
Mariah is definitely a better singer over all, but Minnie was the only artist that could've given Mariah a run for her money on the whistle department. Her regular voice was just ok, but the woman could sustain and work those whistles like no other. I remember I used to believe Mariah was the only one who could hit whistle notes, until a friend played Minnie's "Memory Lane" for me, and I was like: wow. I know there are a few other artist who can hit those whistles and sustained them, but I haven't heard any of the enunciate while doing them, just Mariah.

Re: Songs you wish Mariah would do (75,119) (75,126) by Edward from USA
I've always imagined Mariah singing these songs:
1. Baby One More Time (Britney Spears)
2. Anaconda (Nicki Minaj)
3. Macarena (Los del Rio)
4. Honeymoon Avenue (Ariana Grande)
5. Shake Your Bom Bom (Ricki Martin)
I think it would bring Mariah lots of new fans, and keep her relevant as she is. It's all about thinking outside the box.

10-Tracks album (75,026) by Edward from USA
I would be happy if Mariah just released a 10-track album, but with no fillers. Quality usually trumps quantity, and I'm not talking about Donald here. MIAM is not as cohesive and as well produced as Emotions. Mariah's voice in MIAM is so engineered that sometimes it sounds piercing. And for a 10-track album, Emotions is great, considering MIAM has 14 regular tracks and 3 bonus tracks and about 8 of them combined are fillers. MIAM filler-free would look something like this:
01. Cry
02. Faded
03. Dedicated
04. #Beautiful
05. Make It Look Good
06. Desperate Mermaid (Poseidon cover them)
07. You Don't Know What To Do
08. Meteorite
09. Camouflage
10. The Art of Letting Go
And none of those tracks, in terms of quality and production, can't touch "Emotions", "Make It Happen", "Can't Let Go", "If It's Over", "Till The End of Time" or "The Wind".

RibbonB, the "deluluness" is rampant. With Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum I thought we had enough here.

Licia, you've always been on point with your music recommendations. The only recommendation that was questionable coming from you was the one about the latest Christmas album from Alvin And The Chipmunks.

Charm-girl, thanks (74,952) by Edward from USA
I love "Uptown Funk", but I wasn't ever drawn into Bruno's music. Since you said you liked the album and trusting your good taste, based on your love for Charmbracelet, lol, I purchased Bruno's 24K Magic and I'm pleasantly surprised. First, I was like: Only 9 tracks? Nah. Then I remembered that Music Box has only 10 tracks, and I clicked on "Place your order". After first listen I'm happy I decided to buy it. The album is great, very cohesive and well produced, I actually love it. Thanks.

Mariah-Stella (74,876) by Edward from USA
Mariah is definitely morphing into a desperate new version of Stella. Like Stella, Mariah's bloated, her face has gotten round full moon like Stella, her wigs are kind of questionable, her cheek implants look like Stella's. I just hope she doesn't get contoured like Stella, well she did when she revived Bianca. They say lovers end up acting, talking and looking alike.

Re: Inspired? (74,860) (74,868) by Edward from USA
Ribbon, that kid looks like that in the picture because she obviously had a extremely heavy meal. I'm very disappointed in you. Human beings are different, some get bloated, others get gas and so on. No reason to trash her, girl gotta eat.

Re: Wendy, Nick, the crap manager and the career (74,847) (74,850) by Edward from USA
Andrew stated "The answer is for her to go write a [effing] great album somewhere in the world in a country that Jermaine Dupri can't even spell (take your pick), an album with some depth and beats and emotion and hooks. In addition, she must lose some weight and be nice to people. She needs to resonate emotionally with Joe Public." And I couldn't agree with you more. Mariah needs to write with depth, and put her soul into it so people could connect to her music again. I think she forgot that it's not only about having a great catchy beat, if what she sings about doesn't resonate with people through her delivery, she's done.

Re: Nick on Wendy (74,838) (74,842) by Edward from USA
I agree. It is obvious that Wendy finds Nick attractive and charming. I don't think she wants to play ping pong with him or anything, but she was acting like girly girl next to him. Nick wasn't as direct with a couple of questions, but I'm happy he didn't go there, it wasn't necessary. His answers were honest though. Wendy and Nick have such chemistry and the show was so smooth that a whole hour went by in what it seemed to have been 15 minutes. If Wendy keeps behaving decently towards Mariah, I think Mariah should go to her show, and even though Mariah doesn't sit where Wendy does, she should make her switch seats for that lie Wendy once said. Wendy should hook Mariah up with her wigologist. Even though Wendy's wigs have minds of their own, they mostly look very nice, at least on her.

Re: Nick re: Edward (74,788) (74,794) by Edward from USA
Licia, it's not even worth it trying to make some of these people see both of them as human being with flaws instead of just blaming all on one person. In Lala Land, Mariah's behavior would've been questionable only if she had done it to Nick, not to Packer or anybody else. It seems to be that showing respect for the man or woman you're engaged doesn't count because you're not married. Doing crazy stuff while still wearing a ring that represents your commitment to another man doesn't seem to count. But wait a minute, let's look for something to justify this behavior, it's the only way to shift the blame. Well, Packer was a user, using poor Mariah to promote his businesses, he never loved her, and besides, he was too ugly. (All caps) justified.

Anthony (74,772) by Edward from USA
Anthony did great on that interview. Bridges in the same city tend to be connected and they tend to talk to one another, you burn one, you burn the rest. He handled that question with class and honesty without being shady or catty. He will be just fine.

Mariah and Nick (74,769) by Edward from USA
It's evident Mariah and Nick are great parents. They've put their kids first and that's what matters. I don't really care if Nick ever lay his hands on Mariah lovely lady humps again, they're grown ups and can deal with the consequences of their actions. I actually think Mariah sings better when she gets laid on a regularly. Those high notes on "I Wanna Know What Love Is" were very crisp and fresh.

Re: Nick re: Edward (74,733) (74,767) by Edward from USA
It's very convenient for you to say the webmaster wouldn't post the well of evidence you have against "The Abandoner" in video form of his questionable behavior other than the inappropriate things that came out of his big mouth. Last time I checked, Eric didn't mind posting links, especially if they are receipts to support your argument. Show me three links showing Nick humping a girl, or of a girl grabbing his penis, or him cheating on Mariah, and I'll post six of Mariah doing fishy, questionable, unclassic behavior, very unbecoming of a decent woman with kids. I never said nor do I think Nick is a saint just like Mariah isn't a saint either. The assumption that if the marriage didn't work was because of Nick is pure speculation, but facts are facts, and those can't be denied. Nick was working on overdrive and that's a fact, do not tell me that it wasn't evident he was trying to prove himself worthy of the Goddess, because he wasn't allowed the benefit of the doubt by default from the punishers. But anyway, Nick makes Mariah happy and that should tell you something, even after all the bad, horrible cheating, beatings, abandoning he did. Mariah must be a masochist to let such a horrible man next to her and her babies. I'm done talking about Nick, but just don't come for him before you undo Mariah's Pipi Longstockings' braids and present her how she really is.

Re: Saint Mariah, forget about Saint Nick (74,721) (74,727) by Edward from USA
Dear B, stress has an effect on anything. It's been known to cause or exacerbate most conditions. So yes, most likely the fact that he couldn't sit back and relax with his family for two minutes took a toll on him.
