About Lila from United States: I love Mariah
I love to travel, dance, and eat.

Re: Biography (77,666) (77,676) by Lila from United States
I know. Even I read my post and was looking at all those damn if's like "girl, there isn't a chance in hell". It's so hard watching good opportunities and ideas go down the drain due to nonsense.

Re: Biography (77,640) (77,655) by Lila from United States
I actually can't recall if she did but you do bring up another good point other than the clowns and that's the sincerity of it. She would actually have to reveal things, some that could be quite painful or sad, about herself that no one knows about or have heard her in depth thoughts and feelings on and not just another truncated rehash of poor girl makes it big, marries the big bad wolf, divorces, and floats away like a butterfly. There would have to be transparency, truthfulness, and vulnerability, etc. expressed throughout and it's very skeptical that she would actually go there. Still, if she did really go there, her public image wasn't what it is right now, all the drama of the past three years was nonexistent, and she wasn't obsessed with keeping all these useless clowns around her and turning into one of them, I could see it being a successful venture.

Re: Biography (77,632) (77,638) by Lila from United States
It would be an amazing idea and opportunity but as you said it would be marred by the current team of clowns. The foreword will be written by Stella who'll literally hashtag #empoweryourgirls no less than 50 times throughout her narrative of how she and Mariah are such strong single mothers, which will be so long winded and embellished that not one reader will have an eye left after they're finished rolling them so hard, they roll right out of their heads.

Re: Just for the nostalgia (77,614) (77,616) by Lila from United States
I never understood how some fans arrived to it meaning Kiss Kiss Lover Boy when they said it to one another, not just Mariah saying it to Nick. It would be strange for him to refer to her as "lover boy". I remember some fans would say it to one another when they had no clue what it meant, though. It was crazy.

The only option left is to hope it blows over.

Re: Pride T-shirts (77,466) (77,471) by Lila from United States
My best guess is two coupled points: 1) I think another poster brought up this likely possibility when everyone first saw the shipping dates: the Pride t-shirts and other merchandise was a fly by night whim, thrown together last minute. 2) These are the same people who couldn't figure out the difference in time zones, in an age of a thriving google, so that they could arrive to the concert on time.

Haha. I wouldn't put it past her.

Re: Article: All The Hits tour gets a standing ovation at Oracle Arena (77,443) (77,448) by Lila from United States
True. We can never get too hopeful. Just when we think that things are going good, things take a sharp ass left and plunge off a cliff, and onto jagged rocks, sticking out of the rushing water.

Re: Article: All The Hits tour gets a standing ovation at Oracle Arena (77,429) (77,434) by Lila from United States
The most annoying thing about the problems to do with Mariah is that they're always simple fixes but for some reason it's been like pulling teeth to get her to correct them. Let's hope the momentum continues during and after this tour.

Re: Crying on stage (77,378) (77,381) by Lila from United States
As always, looking at the whole picture, I think it's just yet another manifestation of Mariah's feeling unloved and lonely. As you said, she's used to her fans calling her name and she usually revels in it and honestly the ATH tour isn't some special or poignant moment. But this time it looks like she really needed that love. I think most of us in the world have at least one moment where we need a genuine expression of love and affection because we're feeling so low and someone swoops in right in the nick of time and gives that love and encouragement. For Mariah, right now, that's the crowd. I've already said my piece on what I think of everyone around her and everything I've said I still stand by ten fold. She has paid bodies around her to combat loneliness but no one who truly loves and cares for her beyond a paycheck and getting something out of her. I remember when Nick and Mariah first married; Mariah said that, before she met Nick, she always felt lonely; no matter who she was with. I find it very hard to believe that someone could go from feeling so lonely all the time (which, from my own personal experience, sounds like depression), until one specific person came along, and whose marriage to that person still didn't 100% escape her feelings of insecurity and loneliness, could suddenly do a 180 and skip from being so unlonely because of the likes of Stella and her kids, to so in love with James, to so happy with Tonka Toy in the span of two years.

Personally, I've been leaning to the side of not gonna happen ever since it was announced but we'll see.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey performs in final Las Vegas residency show (77,306) (77,313) by Lila from United States
I just don't know why she couldn't just wear some beautiful, figure flattering gowns and left it at that. She's not a dancer and has gone her whole career without wearing these damn pointless leotards. And she should've kept that corset on for the last night.

I was side eyeing the title but then saw that Nina was writing it and relief washed over me lol. I'll give it a chance.

I do tend to agree. I don't begrudge Rihanna her success or any #1's but I don't think her #1's will ever be looked at as having the same weight as Mariah's.

Re: Mariah in Girl's Trip (77,198) (77,199) by Lila from United States
I'm always up for anything with Queen Latifah in it and it does look like a good movie. It'll also be good to see Mariah having to do with anything good and positive.

Re: Stop the negativity (77,142) (77,153) by Lila from United States
It's amazing how asking that Mariah give her 100% best effort, have consistency, and fly right is always twisted into asking for perfection or basically the impossible. It's as if we might as well be asking her to walk on water.

I can't either but I'll surely try lol.

I don't care. If you don't like what I have to say, ignore my posts. It's really simple.

Re: Biggest concern (77,062) (77,068) by Lila from United States
Rehearsals and warm ups you say? I don't think Mariah knows what those are anymore. The way these shows are going it seems our dear Mariah thinks the audience is paying to see her make a fool of herself prancing around the stage with For Hire, indulging her desperate need to be seen as wanted.

Re: Mariah jams to bump in the car (77,028) (77,036) by Lila from United States
For me it's Emotions, original and remix. That's my #1 choice. Followed up by, in no particular order, It's Like That, Say Something, Loverboy, original and remix, All My Life, Dreamlover and Heartbreaker, original and remix.

Re: Ensembles (77,012) (77,026) by Lila from United States
Every picture I've seen so far of her in these outfits, I've only been able to literally shake my head and say "No. Just no." They are horrible to look at and she really needs to get into shape. She doesn't have to be a stick by any means but her body 2009, 2010, 2011 post birth, 2012, and 2013 were all good and she wasn't a stick. Pick a year M. Then have Azzedine Alaia hook you up.

Re: Licia/Mimi (76,996) (77,007) by Lila from United States
The American Express Centurion is not limitless. That is a fact. There is no pre-set spending limit as it's a charge card but no pre-set spending limit does not equal limitless spending. It's a control mechanism that AE uses to better tailor spending approval in the company's best interest. That means that what you can buy can go in either direction based on credit, spending history, payment history, and yearly income. Any of that changes and what you're allowed to buy and how much you're allowed to charge on the card can change and in either direction, not just up.

Re: Latest Vegas performance (76,988) (77,003) by Lila from United States
For once, I'm just going to follow the advice of the lambs who constantly bleat out "it's the first night", (ya know, as if Mariah's entitled to sounding subpar on the first night when people have paid their hard earned dollars to hear her at her best ) and just hope things get better and that better is actually good.
