MW episode 5 : Mimi L review (71,068) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
1) It's that amusement park scene, well not amusement park, what do you call it? The scene where Mariah comes out of a slide and there are other kid rides there. Bryan is already trying to portray dad skills by playing with the kids and all. Rocky is a cutie.
2) Mariah talks about how people usually get jealous of her lifestyle but what she yearns for is a close knit family. She talks about how she sees people with big families, and they protect each other and she yearns for it because she never had it. She throws a little shade towards Alison and Morgan, she said how she never had the ideal situation with her family and then says, "I'm not talking about my mom, Shawn or Mike."
3) A very short scene with Mariah's friend Josefine and she gives a short background about how they used to live with each other and how Josefin would help Mariah get jobs as a waitress and how bleak the apartment was, sleeping on the floor and all.
4) Tequila shot moments. Mariah and her crew are having a small party at home, Anthony tells her how she should spend time with her dancers off stage to get them to know her because it's hard when they don't know her personally and see her for the first time when they have to perform and they get starstruck. A lot of flirtation going on between Mariah and Bryan. It's funny how on the show they all discuss how Bryan is always staring at Mariah and getting close to her but Mariah is equally responsible. She keeps on getting close and over flirty. It's cringe worthy because she's supposed to be engaged.
5) "I'm catching some hard feelings bro, for Miss Mariah" - Tanaka. He talks about how they have chemistry on and off stage.
6) Short scene with fans talking about Mariah being the soundtrack to their lives. Very short scene.
7) Tanaka's birthday celebrations. A lot of flirtation going on, MC trying to put a birthday hat on Tanaka. They are headed to Lake Como where all of them will stay in a 16 room mansion. Cut scenes to Bryan talking about how he's single and ready for that "special someone", implication is very clear about who that person is. Oh my, Mariah is talking about how she won't deny "there is chemistry". Girl, give back that 10 million dollar ring right now.
8) Second most cringe worthy thing in this episode, Mariah insists on being lifted in each dancer's arms and swung around while that person is carrying her. This isn't on stage, but rather around the house. At random moments she just goes up to the dancer and that person has to pick her up and twirl her around in his arms and apparently if they don't she remembers it. What kinda 13 year old mess is this? Why would a 46 year old woman insist being picked up and twirled around by different men just randomly around the house? Lord, this third dancer almost doesn't pick her up when and she throws her arms around his neck and starts dipping and saying "you gotta get me, or I'll do whatever". Stella is giving the side eye to Bryan.
9) Stella and Danielle are telling Kris about how Bryan is getting too cheeky with Mariah.
10) It's the scene where they all dressed up as Mariah. Bryan is openly talking about how great Mariah's ass is. Anyways the hilarious part is MC now goes to Tanaka for the "lift and twirl" and she dips and at that moment Tanaka's knee cap pops, so he has to go to the hospital, he won't be able to do a couple of shows. Anthony is upset because he has to rearrange the dance routine. They manage to do it nevertheless. Tanaka is super upset, almost crying because he doesn't want to be sent back home since he thinks that if he goes now, all the "progress" he made with Mariah will go to waste. Like boy she's engaged. Go home.
11) Ok I have to say, my favorite line of the show comes from Stella, yes. So Mariah is walking down a small flight of stairs at her house, and she is being held by 5 people, and she is talking about how upset she is about Tanaka getting hurt, when Stella say "Oh my God, he's going to live, let's not be so dramatic." I lived for that line. Favorite line from the whole series.
12) Stella is hell bent on sending Tanaka back home but Mariah says he should stay because apparently she feels sorry it happened on her tour. Like girl, bye. Stella tells Mariah she's amazing and very kind. Also calls Mariah her sister wife again. She however does finds it funny that Mariah wants to keep Tanaka around and teases Mariah.
13) "I don't wanna see you ever get hurt" - Rocky to Tanaka. Tanaka and Rocky are having a moment, where Tanaka is showing possible dad skills. Mariah is gazing at them with love.

Re: Does Stella steal MW from Mariah (71,044) (71,052) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
If they are saying that, I hope they say it more. The faster Stella gets her own reality show, the faster she'll leave Mariah. Also in the meantime Mariah will not appreciate someone else getting the spotlight so she'll fire her. Win win.

Re: Voicemail (71,040) (71,043) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Is Andrew bear finally coming to the path he has been accusing me off for a while now? Which is "Stella is manipulating Mariah"? Anyways now that you mention it, it might be a clever tactic. Everyone and their mother has been flooding Stella's instagram calling her nasty words and all. So she might have seen posts here about how we miss her voice mail days and got Mariah to read off a scripted monologue. I also think that this whole "sabotage" thing was an idea Stella planted into Mariah's head to cover up how Stella messed up big time. It wouldn't be difficult to plant it in Mariah's head because post-Glitter, Mariah has always been super paranoid about people stealing her idea. She has said that someone stole her idea during MIAM and then as recently as this year, she said someone just stole her idea "2 months ago", if I'm not mistaken. So since Mariah always feels a little insecure, it wouldn't be hard for her to buy into this sabotage narrative.

Bless you, "Stella being fired", "fire Stella" and "free Mariah" are my current favorite phrases.

Re: Media and social media break (71,018) (71,026) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I was actually thinking that maybe she got curious after what happened at NYE and then started to maybe Google herself and saw the mess Stella was bringing. I'm sure Mariah, the Mariah we know, would be horrified at her team member going on a foul mouthed rant. It doesn't go with her brand, she always keeps it classy and vague, but then again she has changed a lot in the past 2 years. Stella seems to be in Russia, or she just felt like posting a picture of Russia. What makes me doubt that Mariah has cleaned house is that Stella and her younger kid Sasha posted a picture of Mishka and Sasha with Monroe. Maybe Mariah told Stella to move out for a few days, fingers crossed. One has to be really blind to ignore all the negative things people are saying about Stella. It's not just her lambs and her previous team anymore, the whole world, including people from the industry are talking about how toxic Stella is. Mariah is smart, I hope she makes the right decision. Better to shake off the toxic family at the beginning of the year, take less work load and relax. If Mariah doesn't have to pay for an entire joint family of the Bulochnikovs and take them on multiple vacations, she won't even need to work hard to make more money. Stella kept Mariah booked throughout because of the 10% she'll get from it.

Re: Mariah (71,019) (71,025) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Hopefully this break is her finally realizing she has taken up more than she could chew and hence needs a break to get som much needed rest. Another "Glitter" parallel is right before that she kinda overworked herself to prove she was going to succeed post Sony and this time, after Rockefeller, she again overworked herself for 2 years straight, doing everything from tours, to festivals, to TV shows, singles and promo rounds. It must be really hard on her. So I'm glad she is taking a break before she collapsed from exhaustion. She deserves it. At this point, I don't even need an explanation regarding the NYE mess, I just want her to be happy and healthy and at peace and be surrounded with people that love her and can take care of her.

Audio (71,005) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Just listened to the audio, it's good that she's taking a break, I hope she lays off the staged paparazzi shoots too. Just go to dinner without calling them to inform where you are. Lay low. You deserve a break. However I hope the break includes a break from her team. By the way why the sudden social media break? Like I'd understand if she was managing her own social media and was sick of seeing the backlash and all. But she doesn't do her own social media work and neither does she probably see the stuff written, so then what gives? Is Mishka busy? Haha.

Haha imagine if she used Mishka's voice. I would have a "on the bathroom floor" moment.

Re: Alpha-Tella? (70,964) (70,978) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I'm so jealous of Licia that she'll never have to deal with the second hand embarrassment of watching MW. Like Licia girl, you will be going on with your life thinking everything is fine and dandy, while I'm here getting permanent wrinkles between my eyebrows in my mid 20s from cringing so hard at the mess that is MW.

You tell 'em Edward. Exactly my thoughts, and the more she talks the deeper she's digging a grave for herself.

Re: Confirmed: "Molly" is an actress (70,922) (70,923) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
For some reason this is pissing me off so much. Like I had no doubts before that this whole Molly thing is staged because well it was pretty obvious, but now to get this confirmation just pisses me off even more. MW is such a lost opportunity. Here people could really see the real Mariah, the artist, the performer, the writer, the singer, the mother, the human being. Instead we have this clueless haphazard mess that leads to nowhere. Tour documentary my behind, this is through and through a messy middle school level drama. Lord knows what Mariah was thinking green lighting this crap. This really also upsets me because I always like to think of Mariah as a forward thinking intelligent artist, and it's not wrong to think that either because in the past she has done a lot of stuff that later paved the way for others. The "Fantasy" remix, the "Glitter" soundtrack (since 80s music style is so in right now), and so many other things. So it makes me feel like this really can't be the same Mariah making these ridiculous business decisions, like what on earth? The same things that she has said she hates, she is seen doing out exactly those. This dumb ass "docu-series", buying weed openly, exposing too much, wearing that ring after her break up, staging a relationship with her back up dancer, being fine with getting labelled a "gold digger", a "match.com" advertisement, now she'll make a biopic, like girl where is the real Mariah and what have you done with her? With 3 movies that she is supposed to deliver this year, plus her tour with Lionel, a biopic, a possible second season of "Stella's World" and Christmas shows at Vegas, I wonder will Mariah even have time to do something that she says is her saving grace - making music? Really makes me sad and angry. End rant.

Re: Comeback (70,918) (70,921) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
To put this bluntly, don't expect a 2017 equivalent of TEOM era under Stella's guidance. In all honesty, I have no doubt Mariah can come up with several masterpieces, but back then she had a strong team to back her up. L.A. took it upon himself to make sure Mariah got a big comeback, it would help both of them cement their status (now LA is almost MIA, and nowhere to be seen), Benny Medina made sure Mariah's image was top notch, by getting her in all the A-list events, presenting her as the music royalty that she is (now we have a manager who is making every effort to put Mariah in the level of cheap reality show stars, and no I am not talking about Kardashians, because even the Kardashians exude more class and more believable story lines). Her PR was on point. Her manager didn't cry wolf and go around giving more interviews than Mariah herself. She didn't have a 13 year old being the medium between her fans and herself. She wasn't staging fake relationships. The public was rooting for her comeback because they saw her vulnerable side and how she too cracked under pressure which made people see her as a human being and relate to her. Nowadays we have a manager who keeps saying "she was the biggest star there", "she was doing them a favor" basically making her sound arrogant, that combined with the diva act which started as a joke but now has engulfed her has kinda turned people off. There is no doubt Mariah can have a huge comeback if she wants to but it won't be until Stella and her incompetent team of circus freaks are moved out.

Re: Insecurity and childish nature (70,902) (70,906) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I hope she does more interviews so people know her more. The more people know her, the more highlighted her failures will be and then when she finally gets fired, people will know to avoid the Bulochnikovs like a plague.

Re: Mariah's World episode 4 (70,897) (70,900) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
They spend so much time on the Molly story line and when it comes to Mariah's scenes, they are like flashes and random montages. Nothing makes sense. The show actually is what it was originally titled, and that is "Mariah's Squad". I absolutely don't get why Molly gets 40% of total screen time because she isn't even Mariah's assistant, she is' Stella's fake assistant. I was hoping for a more behind the scenes look at the tour and some official tour footage, instead we get messy scripted drama that a 5 year old wrote.

Insecurity and childish nature (70,899) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Excerpt from an interview with Stella (why is she doing so many interviews by the way?): Bulochnikov got candid when speaking about Mariah's ex-husband and music manager Tommy Mottola, who said Mariah needed better professional help. Bulochnikov responded to the claim by saying, "Clearly Tommy Mottola is just looking for attention; maybe he and Jenny McCarthy should date. They'd make a perfect couple. I would love to know what cave Tommy Mottola climbed out of to start commenting. Tell Tommy Mottola if I wanted his opinion, I'd give it to him." Stella is firing up because she knows now her blunders has received worldwide attention and no one will really work with her after the mess she created in Mariah's career. Stella is also probably doing multiple interviews now because she probably thinks Mariah's ship is drowning (which it isn't, it'll take a lot more for that to happen) and so now she quickly needs to get her face and contour known and get exposure. Leech. Also I'm surprised when asked about if Mariah will perform at Trump's inauguration, Stella says "No body called us." Like woman you are making it sound like you would have considered it if they called.

MW (70,898) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The scene with Tanaka. At this point this show is not even a reality show, let alone a docu-series. It's a straight up soap opera.

Re: Maybe we can contact Nick Cannon (70,888) (70,896) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
That's a great idea to contact Nick. He seems more hands on with his own social media, and has direct contact with MC. Definitely no to Brett Ratner. He got Mariah in the mess. Other options would be Lee Daniels, JD. I wish Oprah would sit Mariah down, or Patti.

More Stella drama (70,816) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Tommy Mottola gave a statement where he is very respectful to Mariah and her artistry and achievements but goes on to say she should be working with a more seasoned and respected team. He says what happened in NYE could have happened to anyone and has happened to many but it also could have been avoided if her team was more professional. He further talks about how he would have never steered her towards reality shows because that does nothing for her integrity and talent. He asked her to take some time and reconsider her team and all. Through and through the letter was respectful towards MC but has put her team on blast. So since Stella has been put on blast, guess what she does? This is Stella's statement "Really? Tommy is a relic. Did he give you that statement from a rotary phone?" This woman has zero control. Why does she keep responding to Page Six, and more importantly why even respond when Mariah isn't being attacked. She only gets heated up when she is put on blast. Here is a recent sit down with ET news where she talks about the sabotage. When asked "Why do you think they would sabotage her?", her response is "Are you kidding? Because it happened". Like Stella, they asked for a reason girl. Plus why is she even giving interviews? Where is Mariah? I understand if Mariah doesn't want to give interviews but then neither should Cru-Stella.

Re: Finally, the culprit is found (70,796) (70,797) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Somebody call an ambulance, the last line of your post just sent me into a cardiac arrest. It's not even funny because it might be the truth by now. Stella's second daughter either is a gymnast in training or takes dance lessons as seen on her Instagram, and Stella being extra hiring anyone with no talent and background, it's not far fetched to think Sasha might be Mariah's new choreographer.

Re: She was just being lifted, lifted (70,779) (70,787) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I'll be the first to apologize for calling her out for being too vulgar with her ensemble choices then. Thanks for helping me understand she only does it to help herself sing better. Go on Mariah, get lifted, emancipate the boobies and what does she need to do for the lower notes? Can someone tell me?

Bryan and Anthony (70,767) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I don't know if this means anything but did you all notice that throughout the performance on NYE, Mariah was basically only dancing with Anthony? There was a point where Mariah turns to Anthony and he picks her thigh up and she dips, while Bryan is pulling awkward moves beside them as if he doesn't know what to do? This happened throughout the performance with Mariah basically only dancing with Anthony. Whereas in the past shows Mariah was dancing a lot with Bryan and even in the Diva's Live show, when she was raised by her dancers, she still reached out and grabbed Bryan even though he was far away, here. Does this mean she's over the drama? Or am I reading too much into it? I'm also surprised she fired Anthony because on stage she was laughing and joking with him.
