It will be a hit (111,799) by Tevin from USA Whether a hit comes from HFIA or not, I'm happy with the body of work that Mariah has produced. I will say however that her best chance on getting a hit would be to release Nothing is Impossible as a single. Perform 3 or 4 stripped back performances on popular shows, simple outfit, piano, guitar and or string instruments, (she can even cut out most of the last set of belts and go right into the descending whistle, to make it easier on her voice). Then she can do a few interviews about the meaning of the song and how she hopes it will inspire and relate to others. That's what people want, especially the younger generation, they want relatability. I've noticed that it may have not been everyone's number one song, but every reaction video or person that I spoke with in person, all said that NII hit them right in the heart and spoke to them. This is also the time of year where most people are thinking about family, friends and goals, so a song like that would be perfect. Her team can even pair it with AIWFC, where after that song plays, it starts playing NII. That would connect millions of people to that song that may not have heard it. Also, for any doubters, this is possible to do. With the fallout from Drake and Kendrick beef, it's been shown that Spotify and Apple and other platforms would play there songs back to back to boost streams. I don't know if it would take Gamma a bunch of money to set that up, but with the millions of streams AIWFC gets every year, even if half of them tune in a couple times to NII, Mariah would definitely have a hit on her hands, and rightfully so. That's just the reality of a long career in today's music industry. Labels are only part of the picture, and we can't be delusional in thinking Mariah is suddenly going to start selling millions again. That's not being negative, it's just being realistic. I'm pretty sure Mariah had to put some of her own coins into making "HFIA". And based on the numbers so far, Gamma will likely just break even on what they invested. And that's okay too. This album feels more like a passion project than a commercial play. At the end of the day, Mariah and Gamma delivered a solid album. Now it's really up to the fans and listeners. Lets wait for the official numbers. She can't book all these shows that you were suggesting with the schedule she's put together. Have you seen her schedule? It is insane. I tend to say Nick (he once had a post saying he was diagnosed narcissistic) but also might be about Stella. I think Mariah in her recent songwriting is more elusive. I loved both her appearances in that Central Park walk and in Jimmy Fallon, specially that guessing game. I guess she can't say "I don't know her" about these celebrities. Also notice on Fallon appearance how she keeps her hand closed in a fist, she avoids keeping it open on its own and you feel it's always tense. HFIA (111,560) by jaker20 from US I hear more like a tribute to lambs and that she's here for it all til the end. I think she wrote this during her struggles with losing her family at the same time. For a while I thought it's about the twins, and she's gonna be there until the end, now that it's just them. But I always thought that Mariah thinks of Lambs are fam. So ultimately the lyrics is about that, her career and her parasocial bond with lambs, virtual sleepovers. That she's here for it all, even if you abandon her. Red carpets in Cannes and applause But if you leave (when lambs no longer want her), Still baby, I'm here for it all. But it would be preposterous to sing to your fans. So it's intentionally ambiguous for everyone to relate wherever they want to place that thought. The second half shift is a literal shift. I think she's going to move from pop to gospel and classic standards maybe which is how the entire album sounds. If you notice, there's not a single rap feature in the album. Here for It All review (111,529) by ADAM from USA I love this album. I'm in the minority here but I don't like Play This Song - feels like it's missing something and needs lift. My favorite songs are Mi, Nothing is Impossible, Confetti, My Love, Jesus I Do, and Here For it All. Aside from Looking In, I think HFIA and Nothing Is Impossible are her saddest songs she's written. These songs have taken a dagger direct to my soul. It's how I've been feelings for a long time just without the melody or her lyrics to express it. It's so morbid and refreshing to hear her thoughts on her own mortality (it's like a diary entry to her children when she's gone). I feel it's directly related to her mother and sister's death and a warning about her own. I think she's deeply lonely in the world. Hearing her tell SZA that she doesn't have any best friend was very telling. I'm really shook at how confessional this album was. I'll be the first to say it, but this feels like her farewell album. This album makes me so proud of her. I'm glad we waited this long. She's the best artist. (Friday 26 September 2025; 22:45)
