I liked it too. Very Barbie meets Bianca. I would have definitely liked it if her whole face was visible, but maybe it is visible in the pictures inside. I hope it is accompanied by a good interview.

Absolutely no news about music. What happened to the Diane Warren collab? What is up with the JD collab which will supposedly be her 19th #1? What happened to the single she said was coming "soon"? Nothing.

You are right, Stella is as creative with her social media skills, as she is with her outfits (the same old black on black all day, everyday). She should understand that Mariah is not a "younger artist". She is a legend. A younger artist still gets dragged for cheap stunts but at the end of the day they can do a 180 and clean up and people will go "oh she was young, she didn't know what she was doing, she finally found herself". But with Mariah doing these, it makes her looks desperate and that she is trying too hard. Mariah already has a deteriorating image, and these are just burying her deeper. She has officially joined the Madonna level and will be passing her soon, the way she is going. Funny how Mariah was so classy and elegant when she was young and is turning into a desperate mess when she is older. All these won't help her career one bit. In fact she is just alienating the 30,000 people who actually bought her last album. Stella is from a reality background and that is dependent on publicity stunts, she will never be able to represent Mariah the musician properly. Get over it Bulochnikov. At least be professional and hand your client over to someone who can at least do their job, instead of ruining her career for your own benefit.

Look at the caption "Eternally 12". Child, you are 12. Stella will shove this down our throats until we choke on it and die. Funny how this kid makes it look like Mariah is the fan and so Mariah has pictures of this girl on her account but on Mishka's own account, she just has pictures of herself, no Mariah. So it's like she is saying that she doesn't care about hanging with a legend, Mariah is just obsessed with Mishka so she posts her pictures so much and then tags her. I find it funny that they actually have no shame that they know we all know Mariah isn't posting it but they still go on posting crap. You are right when you said, people usually have to do research to see who the celeb's manager is. But here we are being spoon fed everything about the Bulochnikovs. A celebrity's team should be working behind the scenes, not be all up on her instagram trying to get more followers. Pathetic and shameless.

It's at times like these that I hope that this is sabotage and someone is trying to ruin Mariah because I refuse to believe that Mariah Carey would come to this on her own. That she would look at this and say "ya looks hot, post it". I refuse to believe that Mariah will go down the path of a Z-lister and post these for the world to see. By all means, dance naked if you want to, because what you do in your private life is your business, but why does she feel the need to post it? How does she think it will benefit her already deteriorating image? I have always respected Mariah that she was a great role model, but now she is distancing herself far and far away from the person we connected with. My apologies to Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Madonna, Nicki Minaj and other such celebs for making fun of them and mocking them that they needed to shed their clothes and pull stunts to get attention while the person who have idolized depends solely on her talent. I dragged Madonna a lot in particular when I compared how Mariah stays in the news for her talent while Madonna has resorting to cheap stunts and cringe worthy moments. I guess I should prepare myself for Mariah's recreation of the infamous Madonna-Drake force kiss. My only hope now is when (and if MW) premiers, it's more of a Mariah Carey: Behind the scenes with a musician, songwriter, artist and less of a Mariah Carey: diva extraordinaire or worse Bulochnikovs featuring the "irrelevant" (according to Zainab) Mariah Carey.

by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

I keep hearing about how Zarina (Mariah's assistant/part of her management and a relative of Stella's) said that Stella made Mariah relevant again. I don't know the exact quote (if anyone knows please share it here). I just want to know if Mariah is aware that her own entourage implied that she was irrelevant before Stella arrived. Are we going to hear next that Stella taught Mariah how to sing?

It's easy to pick out a word from my messages and then say "hardly not". It's another thing to back up your opinions with your own points. I am all ears and open to different opinions. Case in point: I had blamed Nick a lot in the past but then I heard Licia's views and I tried looking at it from the other side. I may still don't completely agree with her about the Nick situation but hey at least when she wanted to disagree, she backed it up with valid points.

First right off the bat I'll say that Mariah has always tried to act like she young and all. This woman has been saying she's eternally 12 for years now. So no, she didn't act/dress young for Nick. She said two of the things that she loves so much about Nick and that helped them connect were him being spiritual/religious and that they were both kids at heart. Now moving on to the claim that Nick broke her down emotionally, in your previous post you said Nick ruined her image when he "met her". Now you are saying he ruined her emotionally which led her to hint at him being "unfaithful". While I too feel that maybe Nick cheated on her or she felt he did (which was the final straw because they were already drifting apart due to him being away most of the time), this happened post 2013. They were married from 2008 to 2013. Five years in which no one can tell me Mariah didn't look extremely happy and in love. The only instance when she looked a little unhappy (at least to us) was during the Barbara interview. But hey which married couple doesn't fight? My point is, yes, Nick may have cheated but he didn't break Mariah down emotionally when he met her. They had quite a few happy years together and during those years Mariah's image was not affected. She seemed like she broke down in 2014. That was around the end of her marriage and obviously it's hard on anyone to have a broken heart. Plus you said Mariah was uninspired during this duration, how do you explain Memoirs being her most critically acclaimed album and MIAM also being praised widely by both critics and fans alike? If you mean she was uninspired because her album tanked, it was not the material that was the problem. It was the promotion. We (including myself) tend to blame everything on everyone but Mariah, and that's not always true. I have blamed Nick before, I always blamed others too, but truth is if we can say Mariah is responsible for the good things in her career (that she knows exactly what she wants) we have to accept that maybe Mariah is also partially responsible for the bad things that happen too.

I don't think Nick made her image cheap. Nick was a blabber mouth and a little crazy (with him giving out the number and all) but they quickly became termed as a "power couple". Memoirs was one of Mariah's classiest eras. She seemed happy, looked great and dressed fairly well too. If Mariah's image has become cheap, it is recently with all the stunts she and her team are pulling. Her social media has become a joke, her clothes are horrible and vulgar, her interviews don't have any substance. (I mean really this is the best selling music artist and people and all her interviews are just about the size of her ring? How is that different from the Kardashians?) Articles are making fun of her because of this. This is the cheapest her image has ever been.

Re: Mariah and dem babies (64,228) (64,233)

That's something where credit is definitely due to Mariah and Nick. I think Roc and Roe are adorable and I love that they are being brought up as normal kids (well as normal as they can be with a superstar mom, a famous dad and multi million dollars in the bank). I mean they dress up like normal kids (unlike the poor North West, who is one of the cutest babies ever but is made to dress like a run way model and is being trained to be a fashionista, wearing uncomfortable clothes and what not), they are all shy and sweet when they get up on stage (unlike some of the sassier kids, who know their parents are big stars and so they take advantage of their privilege), they seem to be involved in normal kid activities and I admire how well Mariah and Nick co-parent. These kids are growing up so fast though, wasn't it just yesterday when Mariah had a huge Easter egg painted on her pregnant belly or when we first got a glimpse of little Roc and Roe in the Barbara Walters interview? I wish the babies all the health and happiness.

To be fair to Brett, the only videos he directed after TMB were "Obsessed" and "Infinity". "Obsessed" was cute and they did manage to have somewhat of a cute/funny story line. "Infinity" had good quality and Mariah looked great, what was lacking in the video was a story and logic haha. They could have played up the cameos and extended it instead of the uber awkward closet bopping and sofa moments. I thought the stage shots and the roof shots were nice. But yes, overall they could have done much better. However I will forever remain pissed at Brett for cheapening Mariah's brand by bringing in Stella into the equation. I don't care what people say, her image has never been this trashy and cheap.

Both Stella and Mishka edit the pics. I have seen many pictures where Mishka edited herself down to a size zero even though she is a perfectly beautiful child. I can't and won't blame Mishka for what she does on her own insta, because that is her personal account but yes the edited Mariah pics come from both mama and baby Bulochnikov.

As much as I blamed Mishka for the mess, if Mariah thinks a 13 year old knows what's cool, then honestly I blame Mariah and not Mishka. The girl is 13 and if at 13, someone offered me the job to take over the social media account of an international superstar, I would jump at the chance even though I would not know shit. Mishka's stage mom probably coaxed her and Mishka obviously couldn't resist feeling the importance when some adults give them important jobs, so that I understand. She probably doesn't understand how important a social platform is for a public figure and for her it's just a place to post photos about a person's lifestyle. But what has happened to Mariah's thinking? How does she think a 13 year old inexperienced child can handle/ appropriately represent the social media of a 46 year old international superstar? It's ridiculous. I get a younger person can bring fresh insights, but not so young. Hire someone between the age of 20-25. I keep hearing "real lambs" say that Mariah is so rich, she is doing us a favor by continuing to release music because she can retire any time. All that money and yet she can't hire a professional to at least have a decent social network platform?

Insta and insecurity (64,207)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
So Mishka posted this on Mariah's instagram. I would like to start of by saying I think Mariah looks absolutely stunning in her candid photos and she for sure lost a lot of weight and is pretty close to her 2013 weight. So I don't understand why such heavy editing was required on this picture? I really love the fact that Mariah isn't stick thin and I feel like her curvy physique makes her more feminine. I don't understand why Mishka had to narrow Mariah down to a weight which looks even less than 2008 (where she was skinny as hell). Why the insecurity? One can say it's the angle, but there is no doubt the photo has been edited for its life. I don't understand the need to blur out the background. It almost looks like she took a stock photo of a plane and photo-shopped Mariah on the picture. I love the outfit (minus the fish nets), it's very edgy and I like me some edgy Mariah moments, but the editing needs to stop. Mariah is an exquisite beauty, she doesn't need extra help. She should think how this will affect Roc and Roe's body image since they both look up to her so much. I saw Mariah's candid photos of her getting off the plane wearing a Balmain lace up dress and she looks gorgeous. She is super thin now either ways, lay off the edits. Embrace your natural beauty. Plus hey we all edit our social media posts, that's all fine, but don't make it so obvious.

Licia you better get in formation and cheer for them bra out, grinding snap moments. Stop being a hater. Mariah has done nothing wrong, you all are just jealous of Mariah and the Bulochnikovs amazing lifestyle. Haha sorry dahlin' I just had to. I can't with these "real lambs", "fake lambs", "haters/goats" posts that spring up everytime people try to raise concerns. I agree. I don't see the similarity. I don't know why it sounds more like an old school Destiny's Child song to me. I mean I can't pin point a song, but it just gave me that vibe. I don't see any Mariah in that song. Songs like "The Way" and "Baby I" or "Right There" on the other hand are blatant copies.

You think that I, or other people voicing concerns, will be fans by turning a blind eye and not trying to get Mariah's attention towards what we are seeing from the outside? How will it then make us any different from the "yes men" we keep complaining about in her team? A support system does not just say yes and support everything, especially if it it self destructive. A support system is one that will have your back but will tell you their views and opinions. No one here is trying to drag Mariah or insult her. They are just raising their concerns about how Mariah's current actions are affecting her brand and image. If they didn't care, they would just let her destroy her legacy. Mariah should be happy that her fans care about her and her well being, they are not just about superficial things.

Re: Mariah's World (64,154) (64,158)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

|

I usually scoff at conspiracy theories but I have to say, the way Mariah's team is taking her, it sure looks like they are trying to tear down her legendary status and smear her legacy. The cheap stunts, the cursing, the weird "leaked" privates photos (that looks so staged), the stunt with the MC-Brian Tanaka affair (it was believable at first but then they started pushing it down everyone's throat by having them grind all over the place), getting a reality show, something Mariah has always scoffed at. Calling it a docu-series won't change much, it is what it is. If it was aired on HBO, I'd think otherwise, but it's being aired on E Network and produced by the same people that is involved with the Kardashians, plus the wanna be Kardashians (Bulochnikovs). Mariah showing up half naked to places without a reason seemingly high as a kite. The snap chat videos (which should have been private) of her completely out of it, grinding over men. Someone said before that Mariah always drank and partied but the thing is it was always private. What made Mariah so interesting and mysterious was that we never really knew much about what went on once she got off stage. Her private life was pretty private. We didn't even know about the problem in her married life with Nick until they announced that they have been separated for months. But nowadays Mariah is overexposed, her private life is out there for everyone to see whether they want to or not. It's almost like she is challenging people to make fun of her. She is definitely not in good hands. Her PR was still better (Morgan's story being nipped at the bud) when Chris Chambers was involved, ever since they left, Stella has been her manager, PR, stylist, life coach and everything. All we got from her was ratchet behavior. People hate on RaeRae and call her a leech, but really RaeRae had no control over Mariah's career (except for that awful choreography) but at least she knew Mariah well. Where is she? Why is everyone who knew Mariah out of the picture? I don't believe Michael Richardson was bad either. Where did he go? Mariah is stranded alone in Bulochnikov land and company does influence you. Just saying, I don't trust this family.
