New interviews/posts and so on (64,130) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I feel like Mariah has been lacking substance lately and her team is surely not doing anything to improve it. What I loved about Mariah was that during interviews and all you could tell she is knowledgeable, humble and deep and so mature. Nowadays everything she does or talks about is basically showing off riches and her jet-setting lifestyle, big diamond necklaces with her lingerie and what not. Don't get me wrong, she definitely has the right to enjoy it, she worked hard to earn these. But it doesn't just stop with her social media posts, it spills over into her interviews. Nowadays her interviews are only about her ring, her diva demands, the dahlin' galore, hair flips and what not. There are never enough questions about her music especially in the interviews aired on TV, when we know darn well that her team has the power to get those questions put in. If one didn't know better, or if one didn't know about her legendary status, Mariah would almost be mistaken for a socialite and not a musical genius, a legend who paved the way for many. Even when Mariah was a rambling mess during the MIAM era, there were times when she still showed the serious deep side of her. Ever since then she is now just coming across as ignorant, self-important and attention seeking diva. People say her image has improved since her new team, I don't see any improvement apart from the great improvement in her voice. I love Mariah and I loved the interviews she used to give which were inspiring and enlightening. Nowadays we only get publicity stunts (something Mariah never resorted to before) and do it for the instagram moments, which her team (mainly the Bulochnikovs) encourage to no end. Stella herself is all about showing how glamorous her life is (when it's not her life, it's Mariah's) and she makes Mariah do the same. We need back the artist who inspired so many people by showing how they can make it if they believe, who inspired so many to pursue their dreams, who inspired so many to not give in and commit suicide because there is more to life. And I know deep inside Mariah still is that person. She needs to let it out. Because I am seeing so many of her die hard fans even on this board slowly detaching from her (with good reasons since she seems to be detaching from them). I also am starting to feel like maybe it's time to just step back and just enjoy her music, instead of worrying about her life. Because she'll do whatever she wants either ways. I won't buy the whole "oh she was always wronged by the media so she has stopped caring". Almost every celeb has been wronged by the media to some extent, even America's sweetheart Taylor has been portrayed as a manipulative, attention seeking, clingy/crazy person who keeps moving from boys to boys. Re: Mariah's contradictions (64,092) (64,096) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter 1) If she said this right after the divorce, Mariah was in her mid 20s (if she said that, I don't know if she actually did but I'll take your word for it). Around that age people are still discovering themselves and so a statement like this is not written in stone. She might have been emotional when she said that and probably meant it too, but can you really expect her to turn love down if it comes? It's not like she jumped and married the next man, she waited a good 10 years until she finally found someone she thought was the one for her. She also said she doesn't want to have kids (because she didn't want them to suffer because of her lifestyle and also because she didn't want to have kids out of wedlock), but that too changed right? People change, their priorities/desires change. It isn't unusual. Lord knows how many times I swore not to do something but did it either ways later on in life. 2) Mariah hardly ever uses her whistles as gimmick, especially not in her studio versions. I always thought Mariah was brilliant with her whistle placements and it always felt like it fit perfectly in with the song. Unlike Ariana, who really does use it for gimmick (not anymore though) and overdid it. Mariah's whistles always fit in perfectly with the song and creates a beautiful melody. On stage she sometimes throws in random whistles (which also fits in seamlessly) but I think she does that because she knows the audience love it, not because she is using that to cover up flaws. Every time she hits the whistle, the audience goes nuts. 3) I can't really blame Mariah for her good side/bad side situation, even though the woman is flawless from both sides. It's not just Mariah, most people, including myself, are aware of their good sides and bad sides and heck I'll move my friends to get my good side because I don't want my bad angle to be plastered over social media when my friends post it and tag me, so how can we blame Mariah when something she is insecure about makes it on every tabloid cover? Someone early on pointed it to her and maybe she tried to get over it but at the end of the day I can understand her being adamant about being filmed from one side. (Friday 8 July 2016; 22:02)

I am also not very keen on the 3 Hallmark movies coming up. 1 was enough. If Mariah really wants to get into movies she should try getting bigger, more mainstream projects. MW (64,091) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Does anyone know why the official trailer of "Mariah's World" has been taken down? Plus did you all know there is an official Facebook page for MW but yet it hasn't been announced on any of her socials medias so it basically has just around 1400 subscribers. Usually when celebs want to promote a project with a separate page they promote it again and again on their main account by sharing the link. For example Kylie Jenner keeps sharing the link to her "Kylie Cosmetics" page every week or every few days. Another thing I have noticed is Stella used to always caption/hashtag her instagram posts with "Mariah's World" whether it was related to MW or not. This included pictures of herself but especially on pictures of Mariah. But she has stopped using it now. But we all know Stella doesn't just stop using hashtags (case in point, the whole "empower everyone and their grandmothers" series of hashtags). Plus it's already July. We still don't know when this show will air. If it is supposed to air in September, why did Mariah go to promote the show/release the trailers months back? This cooling off period in the middle will obviously cause non-lambs/casual fans to forget about the show especially with how people nowadays have a short attention span. And if it will air in September, why is there no word on it? The air dates of most of the fall shows have been announced already. (Friday 8 July 2016; 20:18)

Yes Mariah got rave reviews for her recent performances but that's not Stella's doing, it's Mariah working on her voice. The Rockefeller incident must have hurt her ego because people were writing her off so she decided to pull her voice together. Vegas was already in place before Stella. The stories in the tabloids about Mariah are more or less the same. The only good thing was Morgan's interview was put out before it could catch fire but that may have been the work of her PR team and not Stella because after her PR team was fired Alison's story came out and nothing was done to put that away. Instead Stella focused on getting the lambs off her own back by making Mariah to release a statement saying how Stella is making her rich and how she is uber excited about the reality show (because people were blaming Stella for cheapening Mariah's image). Then let's not forget how Stella interacts with tabloids, she actually bothers clapping back at mere tabloids which is way beneath Mariah. Something someone from Mariah's camp shouldn't even bother with. Now we don't have announcements for a major tour for which the tickets are being already sold out and a reality show which has no air date. (Friday 8 July 2016; 8:45)

As harsh as it sounds, it looks like this is exactly what's happening. I don't know if she is doing it because she enjoys it or that she thinks it makes her cool (which it really doesn't) or that she thinks this is what it feels to be free (possibly influenced by Stella) but this isn't a flattering look. Their roll outs are extremely bad. Tickets for Mariah's new leg of SSFT were put on sale and Mariah didn't even make an announcement yet. Same goes for the SSFT in Europe and South Africa. There was little to no promo and people only bought tickets because of Mariah's brand and because she was visiting Europe after years and people didn't want to miss the chance. The roll out for #1 To Infinity was also bad, save for the cover reveal. They hyped out the music video with how epic it will be and how it is all ready and the rumors about the action sequence and then announced the video will be released with the single, instead we got a lame amateurish lyric video with clips from "Honey". What's the connection of "Infinity" with "Honey"? So lame. Then came the projects which were talked about and then forgotten. The RatPac movie, the "Infinity Remix" (whether you like it or not is besides the point, they hyped it up with Justin Bieber dropping in and then bam no sign of it), then the single that was supposed to be "coming soon" which we heard about months back and yet no news. Her latest talk show appearances have been majorly wasted with no real content. Why did she go to promote MW when the show didn't even have an air date or a tentative air date? Why does she never go into details about the show? It's always "dahlin' there are moments", "dahlin' the abuse I endured". Her social medias are a mess, her clothes have gone from bad to cringe worthy. Her new team gets way too much credit for stuff they didn't even do. Mariah needs a music manager if she wants to pursue music projects. She also needs a professional stylist and a professional social media personnel. (Thursday 7 July 2016; 14:55)

Essence Fest (63,999) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter According to Mariah Network, Mariah and her band are rehearsing "Make It Happen". I think I will lose my chill. I have been wanting this so much. I can't believe she is including it, that song is everything. It will translate so well into the live audience. So uplifting. Also guys this is a huge platform for Mariah, and all eyes will be on her. People will try to rip her apart the first time something goes wrong. I encourage the lambs to stand beside Mariah and avoid posting comments about possible lip syncing and other problems especially under articles and in forums and message boards. A lot of times the articles go through popular Mariah fan boards to collect info. So please let's support her this time. It's a big opportunity. We can maybe discuss the problems at a later date but not right away. This assuming there will be problems. Just a suggestion. With her current voice and confidence Mariah will be on fire I am sure. Trips to Nobu, bra out. Sitting in her glam room, bra out. Attending a 10 year old's (Stella' younger daughter) birthday party, bra out. Recording in a studio with JD, bra out. I just can't. Stella's post (63,983) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Stella wrote on her instagram "18 #1s about to be 19". That's quite a bold statement coming from an artist's manager. I guess it's nice she thinks so (and let this also be a reminder to all those who say Mariah doesn't care about #1s, because you can all bet your fine backsides that she sure does). Anyways nice as it is, I would rather Stella not post such big claims. The fans will label the song her 19th #1, as soon as we so much as hear the title. But that just hypes up a song and then it all crashes down. I'd rather they focus on the promo and getting everything out on time and get the appearances booked. This will be a big test for Stella too because she will be eaten alive if the album flops, like all of the other managers. The last single we got on her watch was "Infinity" and while I place the blame on LA and Mariah for that below average effort at a comeback single, I hope Stella doesn't go "yas queen" on anything Mariah spits out because Stella has zero music knowledge. Video of her recording something but being the tease that she is, there is no audio, either they are basically doing voice overs for The Rap Game or Mariah doesn't want anyone to hear the song until she releases it. While I agree that Mariah needs to work with producers/collaborators other than Jermaine, but it's no harm having Jermaine on 1 or 2 songs on the album. He does bring fresh materials, MILG and YDKWTD are songs unlike any song Mariah did before. MILG in particular was amazing. They get each other musically. Plus he is the only one who really pushes Mariah vocally in the studio (like he did for WBT). So yes 1-2 songs from Jermaine wouldn't be a problem. She should work with others too. Team and image (63,944) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I seriously think Mariah needs a strong team. Not telling her to fire Stella, Stella can either handle selective things or stay as friends with Mariah but for in order revamp her image and focus of her music, Mariah needs a well established team. Someone with experience in the music industry and someone who can clean up her image and take the focus off her personal life and on her voice and professional life. Mariah has been giving consistent good performances all this time since last year, yet the focus is on her swearing at the paps, showing up almost naked to her party and all the negative things. Stella unfortunately gives more fire to this by posting these on her instagram and clapping back at small tabloids. We don't need the drama. What Mariah does in her private life is surely just her business and I have no problem with that. But all the recent public attention grabbing antics are going to eventually ruin her status. So it's best to get a good publicist and management. Who is her publicist at the moment? Does she even have one? (Wednesday 29 June 2016; 13:08)

She uploaded a video of Mariah posing on the red carpet wearing lingerie and captioned it "slay Mimi". If she didn't support Mariah's decision to wear that, the post wouldn't have been up on her Instagram. And I know what you mean about the blank look. Plus in the footage I posted, you can see Mariah instructing Suss One to pick up his phone camera and point it at her, so maybe she is the one asking for the snap chats. It's sad really that she feels the need to do these to get attention. When in reality she can get all the attention just by being a classy woman and releasing a great new song. I am completely fine with Mariah dressing sexy, but this is straight up trashy and makes one cringe. The supporters of such behavior are coming up with twisted versions of women empowerment and body positive arguments when they know darn well that this was just too much. Does she even think what will her kids think when they hear about it in school or when they google it? Was she thinking straight when she wore that to the red carpet because she seemed completely out of it. If you see the pictures and videos from the carpet, she is constantly moving, raising her leg, covering her face with hair, and it just looks like she is drunk even before she got inside. I would also like to add what was Mariah's team doing when she decided to pull this stunt? I mean no I am not taking the blame away from Mariah, but her team should have stopped her too. If they can't do that then why shadow her 24/7? If all they will take responsibility for is keeping her booked then they really don't need to stick with her 24/7. If Mariah wants to have a decent era of music again and be respected for her work, she needs to become someone who can be taken seriously and respected. And no that doesn't mean she needs to cover herself completely. The look she went for was not that of a sophisticated sexy woman who has 2 kids and is engaged, it was of a stripper going to work. Mariah had a long history of bad fashion choices (at least they were tolerable) and this takes the cake. She probably chose it herself followed by a "Yaas Queen" from Stella, who would obviously approve of a trashy outfit since that's her style too. I can't wrap my head around the fact that she actually wore it and thought to herself that this is totally appropriate and her team agreed with it. It's ridiculous that she is in public wearing her underwear. It's cringe worthy every time I come across the photos on my instagram feed. (Tuesday 28 June 2016; 0:17)
