Mariah Carey has certainly achieved superstar status and has gained deserving praise for her talent and success over the years. The mother of two and soon-to-be bride to billionaire James Packer has a list of accomplishments a mile long. However, this just doesn't seem to be enough for the diva. Carey continues to branch out and take on new projects that push her limits and cause her to expand her career horizons.
Mariah's latest intended endeavor involves a reality show that has fans and reality TV junkies excited. The show is set to follow the songstress at her Vegas residency. However, Mariah's team is not thrilled with the idea and believe that the star is beyond reality television. Members have spoken out, noting that reality TV has been the downfall of other stars of the entertainment industry, including Whitney Houston.
It's being reported by this same source that Carey's manager, Stella Bulochnikow, is the brains behind the reality TV project and also states that Carey is too in love and focused on James Packer to see what's really happening and what she's signing on for. The show is to be focused on Carey, as well as her entourage.
The insider then shares how Carey's manager dictates to the star and is taking control due to Carey being a bit absent lately. "Mariah's amazing and treats people with the utmost respect and kindness and Stella is the total opposite. She comes from producing reality TV and calls herself the Russian dictator. I guess Mariah is just in love and not paying attention to what's happening around her."
Page Six relays the aggressive response given to them by Mariah's manager Stella Bulochnikow in regards to the insider's disclosure, and her words clearly solidify the fact that she is quite aggressive and steadfast in her decisions. Additionally, she comes across just a touch unprofessional. "If you're trying to get into my good graces, you're doing a wonderful job. Feel free to write whatever the f--k you want, so all three of your readers can be amused. F--k off and lose my number. You are an idiot. Mariah is on fire."
She sounds absolutely lovely. All along fans were made to believe that it was Mariah who is the diva, but it seems Stella takes the cake on that title. Manager drama aside, it does sound as though the reality show could be very entertaining, and Mariah is reportedly quite excited about the new project, according to a source, as Hollywood Life shares. "Mariah's excited to show some personal family moments. It'll definitely show another side to her. The show is also about Mariah and the crew around her. It's nuts. Mariah is very funny on camera."
Talk is being sparked as to whether Mariah's fiance will appear on the show, seeing as the two are in the middle of wedding planning. It would be fun to witness interactions between the duo and to get a feel for their obvious adorable relationship. There is no air date yet for the reality show, but it does seem as though the show is a go, despite criticism from Carey's camp.
