Mariah Carey almost pops out of her wetsuit

Mariah Carey spent the Fourth of July enjoying some fishy fun as she took her twins for a splash around with some sharks. The 47-year-old chart topping songstress was joined by six-year-olds Moroccan and Monroe and a family of nurse sharks.

Mimi and her children - whose father is the singer's ex-husband Nick Cannon - posed for a number of watery photographs which were promptly shared on Instagram. Mariah reassured fans that the sharks were harmless as she took to the water with her offspring.

"Shark day with dem babies... don't worry, they're gentle Nurse Sharks," the star wrote alongside a burst of images. Nurse sharks are a docile breed - but have been known to attack when provoked.

For her day in the sea, Mimi chose a very revealing Rip Curl wetsuit, which she appeared to struggle to zip up beyond her famous chest. And the singer offered a throwback to the early noughties as she wore a Von Dutch cap on her head.

The star gave a hint of her diva demeanour by wearing a giant pair of sunglasses as she enjoyed her day with the sharks. Mariah had enjoyed more watery fun this week when she went for a soak in the Dead Sea.

The pop babe shared photos of herself in Israel as July began. She wore a leopard print swimsuit and some bright silver jewellery as she splashed around the famous sea. The Dead Sea contains so much salt that those who visit the water will find they float as a consequence.

Once her current relaxing activities are complete, Mariah will be hitting the road - with Lionel Richie. The music legends have teamed up for a 22 date North America tour titled All The Hits.

The tour will kick off on 21 July in Oakland, California, and will climax on 5 September in Seattle, Washington. Mariah and Lionel had been scheduled to commence their tour in March - but the start date was pushed back to July as Lionel recovered from a knee surgery.
