MTV Unplugged article (76,001) (76,009) by ADAM from USA That would be incredible. I love her banter and also a live album would be a way to re-introduce herself to her fans again. Meaning she could perform her old material in an acoustic setting and just rant about the process of album making and intimate stories. It's perfectly understandable if she doesn't have anymore creative juices to create new stuff but she could very well strip down all the old stuff. She has said many times she prefers her demos to the final production cuts and also expressed her love of backing vocals. So a live album could give her the venue to re-cut songs with different structures and songs. I don't think she's serious about music like the 90's work ethic but one could always dream right? It's really a shame because she has the most amazing catalogue of music. (Saturday 3 June 2017; 23:17)

Or "The ones" with MC in the kitchen and "Around the world" while Charmbracelet. She had many specials that I still have on VHS cassette. MW is just a joke compared to Mariah's TV-specials. I've always been in two minds about another live album, only because I love Unplugged so, so much. I felt the same when news of a second Christmas album came about, as surely nothing could better the original. Mariah doing a live album in a massive auditorium would be wicked, with some of her in-between-songs speeches on the tracks. If anything, that would get across to people that she's actually a pretty cool person. Well, if she hasn't actually had a "personality transplant" as a Mr Hett recently opined. Then, there is a charity gig/show of defiance tomorrow in the Great City of Manchester. What's Mariah doing? Well the only thing she ever does these days: drinking and eating herself into obesity whilst allowing people to convince her that anyone really gives two sh*ts about who may or may not be poking her. Who gives a (let's Americanise it) a rat's ass? And whilst I may get the usual diatribe for trying to convince Mariah of the truth and to change: I have never seen her look the size she did when she walked out of The Ivy. Let's hope she ordered salad. It is absolutely okay to be big. If you are naturally big. It is absolutely not okay to eat and drink yourself big and not to have an intervention. Furthermore, she absolutely needs to get a new stylist. I agree with others here who say it. She really must lose the diamonds and clown make-up and become a bit more down-to-Earth and *real* in her appearance. Ariana's hugging sick children while Mariah visibly hugs her wealth. If Mariah is "music royalty", she is, perhaps, like the Princess Michael of Kent. She ain't the Queen, but you might sit up, if only to note her presence and carry before you carry on with your salad, commenting that you don't mind swapping it for her diamonds, such is the case that it would be beneficial for you both. I love the mess, but there are certain people who's personal business I don't need to see aired out and Mariah is number one on that list. I honestly didn't expect Toni B and crew to be so open and honest about some of the the things that they did. I just knew we'd only see or hear about things that were already public knowledge like her divorce, her lupus, and her financial issues. When there's a huge artist like MC who has a huge career and kids later in life than usually the family will take priority and the career becomes a hobby. What she appears to be doing now is all sorts of creative hobbies. Mariah loves creating and doing new things. She doesn't like to be tied down in one place, she has a desire to keep moving and doing creative projects. She needs to lead her own parade and leave it up to others to perpetuate what she's created. That's why joint projects like she did with MAC and Elizabeth Arden were so successful. Looking at her career I've seen some consistent patterns that have made her successful. 1. Live concerts broadcast on TV and sold later. Here Is Mariah Carey debuted as a Thanksgiving special to promote her album and premiere the live version of her new single "Hero". MSG was released exclusively on VH1 on the day of her album release for Daydream. Both Daydream and Music Box were her biggest selling albums. 2015 Mariah did a Christmas special and her hit song climbed up to #11 on the Hot 100. 2. If she doesn't give the media something to chew on they make up their own stories, find the best sellers, and perpetuate them. Look at the last few years. Mariah "losing" something is the category of choice from lovers to sales to career. Mariah says nothing about what she's up to and doesn't actually use social media. If she'd become more interactive with the public as a person and a celebrity there'd be more favorable headlines associated with her. She should be leading the media, not the other way around. 3. When MC's truly excited about something it does well. Remixes, Camp Mariah, Christmas anything, Indy films, and the first episode of MW. When she promoted it as behind the scenes of her putting a tour together and creating new music over 4 million people tuned in total.
