Re: MW: This is not an exaggeration (71,365) (71,371) by Mara from United States
Quick question about the scene in Paris when it was the vodka launch party and Stella's BD and also around the day Prince passed away. Thy showed James there at the dinner and MC has that black dress on. Isn't that the same time these cell phone videos were leaked online of MC, Tanaka and Anthony all dancing up on each other looking very close? I remember seeing these leaked cell phone videos and MC even is caught saying you are not getting my body or something like that. If so, James was there. So what does James leave his fiancé in Paris when he comes all the way out to see her and leave she early or who knows since MC stays awake until 5am anyhow (apparently Mishka does too according to MW) but James leaves his fiancé, she stays back and continues to party with the dancers. This all is so unreal. I really wish she would resolve whatever hurt she is obviously going through from the divorce and get away from the entire circus. Problem is and she said it herself, she has no real family and considers this life, her family. I honestly don't know where this situation will end up right now.

She does not want an equal partner, she wants a lap dog. Banaka Tanaka is perfect for the job. That's why he's there. Nick at least tried to become her equal. Banaka likes being her fake boy toy.

We're free to discuss whatever we want here as long as we're not being insulting. The webmaster puts our posts through so obviously there's no problem with us speaking on the topic. If you have a problem with that, then that's your problem. Stop trying to tell grown ass people what they should do or discuss. It's obvious you know nothing about how instability can negatively affect a child, that ACS or any other version of childrens services is not an automatic solution, nor did you properly read the posts. Bouncing men and women in and out of a child's life can negatively affect their perception of a healthy relationship. No these people may not pose a physical danger to the child but psychologically it can be harmful and these are usually not things that can be prevented in courts of law unless the person poses a physical danger. Calling up ACS, or any other version of children's services, is not an automatic solution because you still have to actually be able to prove that endangerment is occurring and that's not always cut and dry. Lastly, predators don't put signs on their backs announcing that they're predators. When a person is not careful he or she can possibly invite the wolves in sheep's clothing into their life and subsequently their children's lives. Situations like these are not so simple as you seem to want them to be.

Drama-naka (71,368) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
First of all, I still don't buy it's a real relationship and I'm waiting to see exactly when this drama stops. Like do they have a plan that they'll carry on this "stunt", that no one is buying, until so and so date and then move on? Anyways on the flip side, let's assume it's real, what exactly does Mariah think will happen? They got into a "relationship" while this guy was dating another girl and then he quickly dumped her and started "dating" MC (all throughout the series he says he is single), and then after MC's NYE disaster his ex-girlfriend posted something on social media about "karma". So does Mariah think he'll be loyal to her? Also Mariah knows how it didn't work out for her to date someone who is younger and less financially successful than her. Nick talked about how her entourage would put it in her mind that he's using her for money and all and he's cheating. This young is not only younger than Nick, he doesn't even have a steady job. In fact now it seems like he has given up everything and just is a permanent member of Mariah's entourage following her around. So what signal does that give? Would she really want Roc to grow up thinking Tanaka's lifestyle is the way to go? I don't get how she'd think if didn't work with Nick, who at least had a lot of business and worked hard to get his money, then how will it work with this basically paid employee. They're not equals in a relationship.

Re: Article: Russian billionaire spends £2.5million hiring Mariah Carey (71,360) (71,367) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Ya the wedding singing is very common even among A list celebrities, they get a lot of money from it. I don't think Mariah takes it up as a big step down. In fact this is better than the reality show and all the random stuff she did (Match.com, GOW, vodka) because here she is actually using her talent, that is singing and not doing random crap. Don't get me wrong I don't classify the perfumes and MAC collaborations as "random" in fact I love it and it goes with her brand of "glam and beauty" but "Match.com" and "GOW" (which was abandoned) and all the random crap Stella got her into was a mess.

Re: Fans or buy the music? (71,362) (71,366) by Lila from United States
I think, for a while now, it's about having an army of zombie minions willing to buy her products and kiss her ass despite her questionable actions, lackluster performances, and now her horrible manager. Mariah doesn't want criticism or anyone questioning her and that extends to us.

Re: MW: This is not an exaggeration (71,351) (71,365) by Lila from United States
I agree he was smitten but I think he was smitten by celebrity public persona Mariah, not the real her and I think Mariah liked that James was complimentary and offered a lot of material wealth but wasn't into the real him. Personally, I didn't see anything adult about Mariah and James' relationship. It came across as one part attention seeking, one part business merger, and one part clueless guy chasing after a woman that the blind can see is not into him.

Re: Parenting (71,361) (71,363) by RibbonB from USA
If she puts it on MW, then she must want opinions on it, just like everyone comments on her drinking, vocals, dressing habits etc etc. She could just as easily have kept them off of the show and out of the limelight. Mariah also doesn't seem to care about her voice lately, but that doesn't stop anyone from critiquing it ad nauseum.

Fans or buy the music? (71,362) by Danny from Uk
It makes me wonder these days if Mariah wants real fans as she keeps saying aka Lambs or people that will buy her music and other endeavours eg MAC etc. What I really mean is it just about keeping the fame and making the money or progressing her legacy? Because once I felt like we were a part of her musical journey now I'm not so sure. She could be so much more in many ways and keep all of what she holds dear or what will remain is a shadow of her former glory not just voice but who is she as a person. Something is different this time, at least during Glitter she was young and wanted to carry on and she wrote songs that made me believe her.

Parenting (71,361) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Excuse me ethics committee of MCA, who are you tell to someone how they should raise their children? If anyone who needs to say something it is Nick Cannon if he sees anything wrong with this. Last I checked I do not see ACS banging on MC or NC door so how they parent their children is their right. As long as they are not being put in any danger or being abused in any kind of way. If MC was such this horrible mother why hasn't Nick or anyone in his family fought MC for custody? Obviously he has no issues with how his children are being raised when they are with their mother. Until that happens how about the MCA family court ethics committee worry about your homes and priorities, and let MC worry about hers.

I totally agree Lila. And before the "if M. likes it, I like it too" brigade chimes in, I will just add that I am not a muppet waiting for Mariah or Stella to tell me what to say or how to perceive something that they so willingly share with the public. Instead of being a confident wealthy mother of twins, Mariah acts like a desperate 16 year old single mom who thinks any attention paid to her is good attention and who thinks a man paying attention to her children is a good thing. These kids need boundaries and protection from the revolving door of characters who may come into their lives. It also doesn't help that Mariah drinks a lot and her paid escort/backup dancer enables her with splashes/shots and non stop partying. If M. is not in control, a hired escort is not the best nanny for young kids. Again, if Mariah fires nannies because they bond too closely with her kids, she should really be concerned about her dates getting too attached to her children too. She should also question their motives, but if she is numb or stoned more often than not, then she wouldn't even notice. This may be scripted or whatever, but Mariah is participating in a very bad scene in her own life right now and her children are real with real emotions and real vulnerabilities.

Re: MW episode 6 : Mimi L review (71,347) (71,356) by B from USA
I didn't watch last night's episodes and I probably won't watch anymore episodes. I wanted a documentary of her world tour with performances, not a badly scripted reality show which unfortunately is what we got. I'm glad Mariah has decided to take a break from social media because it means we get a break from a thirteen year old posting thotty pictures of Mariah without her permission. Mariah take back control of your career, life, and social media accounts. Stella may have made you more money than your old team but it's cost your reputation. You went from an untouchable diva to a punching bag. Stella's management is the equivalent of Glitter 2. Surely, Mariah Carey, who worked so hard to rebound after that debacle can see that Stella's dictatorship has caused similar results.

Re: The missing chanteuse (food for thought) (71,341) (71,354) by B from USA
I thought it was revealed that she'd been recording new material since last May? Surely, she has enough material for a surprise release and it's obvious LA and Epic have heard the material if they want to release a single as soon as possible. If LA think she has a song that strong enough to remind the public that she's a talented singer songwriter why not release it?

Re: Article: Russian billionaire spends £2.5million hiring Mariah Carey (71,344) (71,353) by Joe from United Kingdom
I agree that Mariah sounded ok in the clips I've seen. The question I have is why a star like Mariah is now a wedding singer for all intents and purposes. I know she got millions but at the end of the day, singing at a wedding means you're a wedding singer. I would have thought she was beyond this. Maybe there is a financial need at this point rather than a professional need?

Re: MW episode 6 : Mimi L review (71,347) (71,352) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Yes, these behavior would have been fine if she was single. But she was supposed to be engaged to the fan she was apparently in love with. Yet she's out their bumping and grinding with this back up dancer. I wonder what her reaction would have been if she saw James was messing around with his secretary or employees. It's a shame that she thinks showing these are doing her any favors. Also it looks like Mariah really had no intention of marrying James because Roc and Roe didn't know Mariah was getting ready to get married when she was trying on the dress. Like shouldn't the kids be eased into such a change? It looks like Mariah liked the "idea" of being with a billionaire who was smitten with her, but when things got too real she wasn't ready to face the reality yet she didn't leave him. If rumors are true that James had Tanaka banned from Caesar's palace, I'm happy that he did it. I can't even blame Tanaka really because for all we know, this is his job and he's getting paid for it. My question is what happened to Mariah's judgement? What happened to the woman who once said she doesn't need to sell sex to be successful while dissing someone who does it (supposedly Madonna, not sure), what happened to the woman who said she won't ever resort to fake relationships while dissing Kim K's wedding to Kris Humphries. What happened to the woman who would be caring for her voice and tell us about all the tips she picked up from other legends like Luther Vandross and all about humidifiers, honey tea, throat lozenges. Now it looks like she has once again forgotten about her God given gift and instead is doing everything she once said she won't. It's sad. The show might be over in 2 episodes, but the people influencing such behavior will still be around.

Re: MW: This is not an exaggeration (71,346) (71,351) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I honestly don't know how James is in real life but in the show, whatever little we saw of him, he seemed sweet and smitten by Mariah, the way he looked at her. I was also surprised that he is actually good looking on video. I think the relationship with James was a little "too adult" for Mariah if you know what I mean? Mariah is by self admission, eternally 12 and so anything that becomes "too adult" seems to be too much. Also James crossed Stella, and no one that crosses Stella can stay in her life. Did you notice how she dealt with Mishka? She doesn't need to yell or whatever but she could have been stern about the fact that Mishka can't do whatever she wants. She could have put a stop on it, but instead she fell into the "Mariah your ass looked great, your legs looked long" trap and so that conversation was over. This is something I feel Stella does too. I've seen Anthony, although he praises her too is always very blunt with Mariah that's something that her employees need to do.

Re: MW episode 6 : Mimi L review (71,338) (71,350) by RibbonB from USA
Sadly, Mariah's off base ego wouldn't allow her to just let actors and her hired help act the fool behind the scenes, like the Molly makeshift mess. She really didn't have to participate in the behind the scenes foolery, but I'm sure her ego wouldn't allow for another female to have that kind of attention while she behaved like a responsible adult, so she took the sugar-mama/THOT route for the cameras. Two more shows to redemption though. Lol.

And wouldn't his other dancer buddies have a spare set of clothes to lend him? What a terrible joke M. is playing on herself and everyone else. SMH, what an expensive prank or maybe just poor taste, timing and tone. Two more episodes. Now, I really can't wait to get the Elle review for this weeks episode. The reviewers snark meter must be going off the charts as he writes it.

Bryan holding Monroe (71,348) by Lila from United States
Yet another brick to add to the weight of my lack of confidence in her mothering skills. Why is this idiot carrying her daughter again? Monroe is hardly ever carried anymore anyway, or Moroccan. They're five and can walk. This is so inappropriate. The fact that this man goes everywhere with them is inappropriate. The fact that this man looks to live with them is so inappropriate. She is so hellbent on recreating her messed up childhood. I have such a soft spot for children, seeing this just makes me want to cry. I truly pray that Moroccan and Monroe don't grow up thinking that it's okay for men to come and go in a woman's and a child's life but what else can they possibly take from it. Mariah's parents divorced when she was three, she seems to vividly remember what happened and has talked about how much that affected her yet she shows not one iota of acknowledgment that her own children could be going through the same thing and she shows them not an ounce of respect. In a little less than 2 years, they've seen their father leave their home, her shack them up on a boat for weeks with a man they didn't know (before the whole "his n hers" yachts), and now she's shacking up some loser back up dancer with them everywhere they go. I pray for these kids and all the rest going through the same circumstances. It's so sad.

Well it's so obvious that Mariah is a straight up tease and a big flirt. Nothing wrong with that as long as your ass in not engaged or in a serious relationship. Mariah ought to be ashamed acting like that with Bryan knowing she was engaged to James. James was spot on about Tanaka and I'm glad that he broke up with Mariah because obviously she wasn't ready to get married to nobody. I can't believe she bought clothes for that lil boy. He could have bought his own damn clothes. Like Mariah really girl? Man, I was holding out hope for this show but I'm too through. Anthony is the only one that was telling Mariah the truth trying to help her out. Now he's gone. I'll be glad when this damn show is over but at the same time I can't help but watch, lol. Side bar: Anthony looks like he was feeling Mariah too. I wonder if they have ever hooked up?

MW: This is not an exaggeration (71,346) by Lila from United States
I can attest to the fact that Mimi L. is not exaggerating. This episode was so WTF I don't know what to say. Mischka handling Mariah's lingerie and complimenting her on her ass when Mariah brought that picture up was disgusting and inappropriate. A few us have remarked on Mariah's lack of boundaries before but this one was the most mind blowing. The way the conversation was going, you'd have thought that Mariah was talking to her equal but then I guess she was because she also treats Mischka as her equal, the same way Stella does. Then, seeing that the picture went viral, she was immediately okay with the picture being posted. I swear my jaw was on the floor. What is wrong with Mariah? Still, now we know that one of our theories was right, she's now okay with attention at any cost. Seeing what she did with Mischka, though, it was worrying for me when she said that Roc and Roe are her best friends. I really do hate to say it, I really do, but my confidence in her as a mother has dropped like a brick and the Mischka thing has just added more weight. I pray that Nick lives a long life because they are going to need him around. I don't doubt that Mariah loves the twins but it's like that old song goes: what's love got to do it? There's more to raising children then loving them. Yes you love them but your job is to also teach them to be strong, stand on their own two feet, guide them in the right direction. It is not to be their best friend. How can Mariah do any of that for the twins when she doesn't have it down pact her on self? The Bryan stuff was just stupid and yes this woman bought this man clothes. I wish I would buy a man who hasn't invested 6 months into a relationship with me a damn tootsie roll. Real or fake, it's crazy how he doesn't get how much of a loser he makes himself look on this show. I do think James came across as nice but I didn't get couple vibes from him and Mariah. We've seen how Mariah looks and acts and how she talks when she's head over heels and that wasn't it. What I did get was what I've noticed about Mariah for a while now and that's that she's a lot of talk. All I could think was man, I can see that she's playing the hell out of you with this conversation alone lol. It is very obvious to see that Mariah feels nada for these men. She likes the attention and that's it. I also can't believe that it took 6 episodes to get a full performance and though it was sad that Prince died, I didn't want Hero.
