I Don't Wanna Cry (55,209) by ADAM from USA It's really great to read each fans reactions to fan-favorites and obscures songs alike. I Don't Wanna Cry is one of my favorites songs of all-time. I love the lyrics and production as well as how she belts her vibrato and goes in and out of using her lower and upper register to convey the emotion of the song. Surprisingly, she outdid herself during the live performances in her shows in Osaka and Rotterdam during the Daydream tour 5 years later. This was IMO one of the rare few instances of a live performance eclipsing the recorded song that I prefer. Her voice during that era was really bright and smooth and felt she had even more range than 1990. And the icing on the cake was how she added a closing long vibrato note with the background singers singing I Don't Wanna Cry over and over. Very haunting and very beautiful. Songs I would never like to hear again (55,208) by ADAM from USA Kate I really like this question you've posted to the forum. I really would love it if I never heard Hero performed again. It's funny because I enjoy the album version with her voice really bright and smooth and the piano backdrop however IMO it's a song that as time goes on and her voice gains more texture to it really grates on my nerves and doesn't sound heavenly like the album. It sounds labored and shrill-like. As far as the album cuts I do not like Just To Hold You Once Again, Silent Night, Never Too Far, Did I Do That?, Ex-Girlfriend, I Only Wanted, Migrate, Memoirs Cd (except HATEU, IWKWLI, Languishing, More Than Just Friends). And from the latest album, Faded, Make It Look, and Heavenly I always skip. (Sunday 12 July 2015; 16:22)

My non-likes (55,206) by Pablo from Spain Emotions, The Wind, Hero, Fourth of July, Bliss, Your Girl, Last Kiss, everything on Memoirs except Betcha Goin Know, Up Out My Face, H.A.T.E.U, Obsessed and Languishing (I love these five songs, the rest of the album puts me to sleep), Make It Look Good are my choices for ones most fans love but I don't really care for. I do like Always Be My Baby, but I think it's overrated as almost every time I say Mariah is my fave singer, I hear "Well I like 'Always Be My Baby'." (Sunday 12 July 2015; 14:25)

Kate / Ty (55,204) by Licia from USA Hero is the song I hate as well. I cringe every time she performs that one. If she never performs that song again I'd be ok with it. Lol. Even though I'm not a fan of Hero I definitely understand why most people love it. Another one that I can live without is I Don't Wanna Cry. The video plus the song equals blah. Lol. Ty if she ever decides to perform Faded I would die of utter happiness. That is my favorite song from MIAM. Another one for me is The Roof. I've listened to that song once since it came out in 1997. Kate from UK (55,203) by Jenny from South Africa Hi Kate. I have 2 songs that I definitely don't hate, I actually like them and enjoy them but I was never as in love with them as the rest of the lambily seems to be and I never quite got the hype. The 2 songs are We Belong Together and Migrate. It's always been a surprise to me that We Belong Together spent 14 weeks at number 1. No one was more thrilled about it than me but I felt she had much better songs throughout her career that were more worthy of all the fuss and success lol. I just didn't quite get it. I can't stand that song, although I like the messege behind it I just find it really grates on me. Animated movies (55,200) by Lee TS from USA I think it would be awesome if Mariah can be part of a huge animated movie and voice a character. She revealed she can do voices in several octaves so it would be cool if she can do some character acting in that arena. Ok so I've seen Inside Out like 3 times already and it truly brought out my inner 12 year old, it's so smart and entertaining. I never thought I would fall in love with a cartoon character but Sadness stole my heart. Them heals (55,197) by Liz Archer from Sweden Something I don't understand is why Mariah keeps walking in impossible high heals. I just watched her performance of "We belong together" and some other song on some award show. She looked great but the whole pose was strange, due to what I am think is the heals. Very often on stage she has to have help walking in those things and it looks awkward. Many times it looks weird when she is walking or running. I mean why does she wear them if it so difficult? She has been on those things for many years, does she has a problem with balance? I admit I don't wear them a lot myself but I do know people in show business which are able to wear them and even dance in them. For me this is a mystery. (Saturday 11 July 2015; 19:09)

Low profile artists that Mariah should work with (55,192) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines As much as I love Mariah, I also listen to a whole lot of artists from various genres. Last year, I was so glad to have stumbled upon KING, a vocal trio brimming with so much talent and potential. They don't chase trends, they aren't too eager to be played on the radio, and they have Prince as a mentor. Not sure if you haven't heard about them, and if you haven't then that's probably because they have only released 5 songs (that I know of). 3 of those were on an EP, and the other 2 were released as singles: the undulating In The Meantime and the swooning Mister Chameleon. I highly recommend you check them out, as theirs is a sound and vibe that Mariah has slightly touched upon here and there in the course of her career but never really pursued. I was thinking that since Mariah has a penchant for picking up-and-coming rappers for her collaborations, why not try collaborating with girl groups (she did sign Allure in the 90's)? And with her love of harmonies, why not let KING the be girl group she works with? (Saturday 11 July 2015; 15:40)

That's not a mistake, if it's a mishap like on stage or like being conned, that's cool, you're still young. But licking a donut in a donut shop? That's not a mistake caused by your age, that's plain dumbass move. But that being said, I never wanted her career to be over because she's too talented for that. She got the voice, but she doesn't have the technical mastery that MC has (she sounds shouty because she strains high notes, but then again Arianators won't admit that fact because according to them, she hits all notes with ease). Heartbreaker (55,190) by Giovanni from USA I think "Heartbreaker" is a cool, fun sexy track. It's not a favorite or one I ever play but I like it and definitely think it deserves being a number one. The main songs from Mariah I enjoy listening too are "I don't want to cry", "Dreamlover", "Anytime you need a friend", "I am free", "Mine again" and "Beautiful". I'm more of a Patti Labelle fan but like and respect Mariah a lot. She's definitely one of my favorite singers of all time. I wish for her next single she takes a new direction. I think she does great with pop and ballads and have no problem getting that on the next album. I don't care if she never has another hit again. I just want good music. (Saturday 11 July 2015; 2:58)

Oh please (55,189) by Giovanni from USA Paul, get over it. Everything everyone posted about Ariana including me is the truth. She's not a kind, humble person. She is some what talented and can sing. But is she a Patti, Whitney or Mariah? No. She's better than a Katy Perry but not better than Beyonce. I like her music but her voice overall is kind of annoying with all that shouting. Her behavior in that donut shop was immature and appalling coming from a 22 year old who lives in America. She deserves all the backlash she gets. If I was a legendary singer I would have dissed and put her in her place a long while ago. I'm glad Mariah doesn't acknowledge her. Who would? (Saturday 11 July 2015; 2:40)
