Alex (46,172) by Mara from United States
What you wrote is exactly what I was thinking. It is amazing how people have a living legend still making music and who has the history MC has and she is not appreciated. God forbid if something happened to our Mariah, all the people would find it "cool" again and sing her praises, including the "other people on the charts" currently that seem to throw insults her way. Appreciate her now. And yes, Mariah will continue being Mariah and doing what only she can do. I for one still love her.

Gilbert (46,171) by enwar00 from usa
I love that you called the Fantasy intro sci fi. Surprise surprise that you want her to sing the whole song. Are those other three your faves as well? Meteorite has some sci fi elements to me.

Similarities (46,170) by enwar00 from usa
Ok I can hear Alone In Love and Sent From Up Above in Faded. I also would never have thought that. All three awesome songs to me. You're Mine (Eternal) always reminded me of Alone In Love though. Maybe mixed with Like You by Bow Wow, the music at least. And Cry reminds me of And You Don't Remember, especially the bridge. And yes, I totally hear the Twisted notes towards the end. Haha this is fun. Supernatural of The Impossible not sure why though.

Who should win? (46,169) by Abraham from USA
I personally think Mariah deserves to win. She was (and still is) the best female singer of the 90's and scored the most number ones out of anyone. I think we should celebrate when she gets her 19th number one. (If that happens, which I hope it does.) Sounds silly I know but 18 number ones is amazing and quite an accomplishment. I'm proud of her. I really hoped "Beautiful" would have been her next number one.

Me. I am... listening to the music (46,168) by Alex from England
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one feeling this way. Enjoy the music guys, here's to hoping Mariah comes to a venue near all of us.

Nick and Mariah / 90's pop icon (46,167) by Abraham from USA
Anbody watch ET? They talked about Mariah and Nick possibly getting a divorce. I'm hoping it's not true because that would be sad. It is something how both haven't taken a pic together. It's only been one of the other with the kids. I don't know what's up. I casted my vote for the 90's pop icon. And hope the rest of you will too, though I'm not telling anyone who they should vote for. Just saying, to vote. It'll be interesting to see who wins, there's a lot of competition. You have Michael Jackson, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm assuming that The Spice Girls will have the lowest votes. I didn't even have to think or hesitate when voting. Obviously I'm gonna go with my favorite female singer. The 90's was Mariah's decade.

Obsessed, TMB, and Faded (46,165) by Dove from USA
Obsessed and Touch My Body are actually two of my least favorite songs of hers. On my perfect set list I added the hook: "Touch my body, put me on the floor, wrestle me around, play with me some more, touch my body, throw me on the bed, I just want to make you feel like you never did, etc." Because I like the lusty mood of it and I think it goes with the sensual/infatuation mood of #Beautiful and Your Girl. It's a shout out without going into the whole song. I also like that she doesn't whisper the hook. Obsessed has a good beat and it's a fun song, I think it would sound good after Thirsty. But from my set list it's the next song I would have taken off. After reading the post about Faded, I can see how Sent From Up Above and Alone in Love are similar to Faded. I almost changed the medley on my set list but I added I Only Wanted instead because it has a similar theme and Charmbracelet wasn't getting any love on my list. I can see the Don't Forget About Us similarity now too.

Setlist (46,161) by Joe from United Kingdom
Personally I'd like to hear some songs from the new album and some real old school songs even if that means she just sings them improptu like when she sung "Love takes time in Australia". I have to say though on a negative note, please leave "Touch my body" and "Obsessed" off the setlist completely. I can handle and shake it off due to the new intro but I feel like those two songs have become setlist fillers at this point. I love the songs but I'm just not excited by them in a live setting. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Stephen, Billy / Faded (46,159) by Stacey from USA
Gosh, when I hear the song I can't help but sing "When it's for real, it's forever, so don't forget about us."

Faded intro (46,158) by ACMRitz from United States
If you all listen to the intro to Faded she is just writing something on her iPhone and whispers the words 'It was overcast that day, so I was feeling some kinda way." I am still curious about that Instagram photo she posted with a notepad with the words "To Love Me" written on them.

Certifications (46,157) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Don't you just miss those times when having a single go platinum really meant something? I mean not that it doesn't now, but the digital age has somehow warped our perception of commercial success in the music industry. Remember when artists back then somehow relied more on airplay than sales to top the charts because people who supported a single would have to choose between buying a single or an entire album, and that either would require an actual trip to the record store? #Beautiful going platinum is still quite an achievement, especially considering Mariah's age and current place in today's music scene. But that feat is easily dwarfed by other artists nowadays whose songs reach quadruple platinum status. That seemed to be impossible back in the era of physical singles. Then, even going gold was considered impressive. Now, the only way a platinum single would stand out from the many other certified tracks out there is if it was achieved within a record time. Digital downloads have made purchasing music much easier, but has also somehow rendered sales certifications less significant.

Billy from Greece (46,154) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
That's a very good observation regarding Faded. I had never thought of it in that light, but now that you say it, I can kind of see the comparison. I love Faded. Such a great track.

"Faded" (46,153) by Billy from Greece
Sometimes I feel like it is the child of "Alone in love" and "Sent from up above". Awesome track.

Me. I am... listening to the music (46,148) by Alex from England
I have been listening to the album non-stop since May and I am still so much in love with it to the point that I just do not care anymore for sales and stuff like that. Mariah is and will always be Mariah, no matter how short the dresses, big the boobs, diva-ish her attitude, she will always make the music she wants and actually will always do however she pleases, even if some people do not like it. I honestly miss the 90's when people were just happy to have new music. While the internet is a great place for so many reasons it is a shame that so many people would spend their time putting out so much negativity about everything (just go on YouTube, you can't read the comment section under a video without wanting to punch someone for writing horrible things). And that goes for Mariah and everything else in this world. In short, I miss feeling the love for our Mariah, that woman who has touched our hearts in so many different ways over the course of our lives. God forbid, the day she passes on, everyone will just sing her praises just like people did for Whitney or Michael when they were very happy to tear them down when they were alive. Maybe it's time to appreciate the body of work of one of the greatest singers who has ever lived and be thankful we can still enjoy her music.

Thanks Will (46,147) by Manny from U.S.
I can't believe I never made that out. I really thought it was Morris code for something like "faded". Or anything that would make someone "faded", Now, it reminds me of the Thanksgiving special when she was on her porch writing lyrics in her notebook. The clip before "Dreamlover".
