#Beautiful / You're Mine (44,045) by Gilbert from USA
I know it's probably not important but does anyone else remember Mariah saying there was a slightly longer version for both these songs? I know for sure on YM, Beautiful I'm about 99% sure she also said it would be a bit longer. I guess none of us would really know how it really works in the business, unless were in it you know? Anyway, I was just curious about that.

Old tracklist and Billboard (44,044) by G.G. from USA
Re: Dan, yes, I think that a lot of the original material was left off the album. Not sure if that was completely Mariah's decision or the label said they wouldn't release it. Re: Billboard, I sometimes think that whoever is in charge of Billboard doesn't really like Mariah. I get the same feeling about the Grammy awards.

Billboard review / the lamb spilling the tea / ask Mariah (44,043) by Isabelle from USA
I can't believe Billboard gave the album a 77/100 rating, her second best rating from her last 3 studio albums. They give Britney Jean a 76, Shakira (album) a 88 and Beyonce 90. I like Shakira the artist but her last album was her worst. I was shocked to see the rating for MIAMTEC. They spent more time criticizing her ways in life than the actual album. When Jermaine posted and retweeted the article from that lamb that spend so much money to get this album, it got me thinking that her team or/and her weren't satisfied how the label are handling the release of the album. She also mentioned in an article that artists aren't going to need labels to release their music and she admires how Prince was doing it. So it's making me believe that she may go indie by the next album. And there were some lambs asking her the wrong questions to her that didn't give us insight for the album. Like "How are dem puppie?" or other relevant questions about this album. So what do you guys think?

To be honest, thoughts (44,042) by clueey23 from USA
This era, I couldn't really care less about sales or hits. The music on this album is beyond everything that is being put out in the industry. I think I wanna sit back and just enjoy the masterpiece that is MIAMTEC. I couldn't care less about Billboard, anyone who gives Jennifer Lopez a music icon award has lost credibility. Some folks just don't want to face the fact that MIAMTEC is beyond anything on "Beyonce". And speaking of Beyonce, Billboard would still have my respect if at least Beyonce received that icon award. I am in love with the album as a whole, but "You make the beat go" gets me everytime. I adore "Supernatural".

The Art of Letting Go (44,041) by Dan from UK
Does anybody find this article intriguing? Many brush the track listing off as fake, but the first four songs all made it onto Chanteuse, it also lists Hope Street and Save the Day which Mariah spoke of, and of course TAOLG. I wonder if there was indeed an entirely different album way back in 2012, which was either rejected by the label, or shelved because Mariah had a sudden change in creative direction, and the best tracks were kept over for the new album which we are all enjoying now. The mind boggles.

Attitude Magazine review (44,040) by Martyn from England, UK
Hey guys, I wrote a track by track review of the new album for Attitude Magazine. You can view it online on the website. (I presume I'm not allowed to post a link here?) I hope you all like it. I was very honest, and my writing style is very tongue in cheek so please try not to be offended when I send Mariah up, it's all in jest, and I've written countless articles about how fabulous she is for various other publications. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the read.

Photoshopped / new album gems (44,038) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Mariah was actually that size when she took those pictures (over a year ago), so people need to get off the overly photoshopped thing. Sure the pics where perhaps enhanced, but no more enhanced than any other pics you see online or magazine covers. She's still gorgeous either way. On another note: I heard the rest of the album and now Cry and Meteorite are my new faves. Meteorite makes me want to show up at her album release party in full disco getup, my own disco ball, and break into a full "Saturday Night Fever" dance routine on the dance floor. "Meteori-ite-ite meteori-te-ite" she knew this would infectious. And hunny lets not even get into that key change in Supernatural.

Is anyone else upset that this is like Mariah's only cd that does not contain lyrics?

Casio keyboard (44,036) by Chicago Lamb from USA
It wasn't a Casio keyboard that was used for "Can't let go", it was a Hammond B3 organ that was inspired by "One more try". The Casio keyboard Mariah says she used to write "All I want for Christmas".

Billboard rating (44,035) by Nicole from US
You would think Billboard is supportive of Mariah but guess what, they gave her MIAM a 77% which is a C based on school rating. Everybody else has been praising it like crazy but then again they gave Coldplay's CD an 85 and Michael Jackson a 90. I hope sales will be great.

Re: photoshop argument/ BI article (44,034) by Gloria from Hong Kong
Benjamin Fisher, I' ve read that article too (available link here), and take it as a joke. I appreciate that MC wants to give us her best, and who doesn't want to look good? Besides, it was shot last year, indeed, when her figure was totally perfect. I remember what she said in her acceptance speech when she won the Billboard's artist of the decade award: "Forget the image, forget the ensembles, forget the rumours, forget the short skirts, the big hair, whatever." Forget the arguments. Music is her (and our) saving grace. By the way, a columnist actually went to Germany to get a physical copy of MIAM because he wanted to listen to the new music as early as possible. *Boy you just looking thirsty* You may read it here. I was totally amused by that.

Cover art (44,033) by Benjamin Fisher from United States
I don't know if any of you have seen this article, but remind me to never participate in or read the comments for any article that discusses Mariah's weight. The writer is trying to defend Mariah from a feminist perspective, but she still ignores the fact that the cover art was shot back in summer 2013. *Sigh* I don't even care about "winning an argument". I just worry about how articles like this effect Mariah and also feel frustrated that Mariah's struggles with her weight somehow detract from her music or credibility.

One More Try Casio keyboard (44,032) by tadatorao from japan
Joyce, exactly. Mariah once said that she likes the sound of a song by George Michael so much that she deliberately spent time in finding the particular Casio keyboard to play in Can't Let Go. It is her intention to make it sound low-end. You should be proud in being able to tell that.

Make It Look Good violins (44,031) by Martyn from England, UK
Has anybody else noticed that the violins in Male It Look Good are the ones that we saw the orchestra playing in the teaser video for the release of The Art Of Letting Go?

Me. I Am Phenoninal (44,030) by RadChad from United States
So many great songs with life and soul to them on this masterpiece. This is an album that we all should be able to connect with and sink our teeth into for a long time. "Make It Look Good" is exactly what I wanted from Mariah for a long time; a the standout track from the energy of the musicality, production, and perfect vocal delivery. I swear I hear Stevie singing in the background in the chorus singing "Make it look goood" (somebody check the credits on that). The emotion she envokes into "Cry" is mind blowing, by far her most soulful song to date. While the chorus to Dedicated, Meteorite, YDKWYD all wins the "most catchy stone groove" award. The whole album is great I love every song. Am I the only one that hear the same trumpet sound from "Do You Think Of Me" in "Dedicated"? And for some reason "YDKWYD" puts me in the mind of "I've Been Thinking About You" from Music Box. I'm glad Mariah has managed to turn doubters into believer, haters into lovers, and shock us all with this amazing album. A+

Listening right now (44,027) by Joyce from USA
I haven't completed the album yet but so far so good on a few things, 1, looks like they got the memo, the same old drum beat that was on almost every song in the last album had been retired. Fo those that don't know, it's called the "808 Drum Kit" and it's played out. However the drums on the "One more try" are so bad. It sounds so weak and like my little brothers Casio keyboard but the vocals are very moving and well sung. Her voice brings the sentiment intended by the original song composer. I wish I could take the vocal track and design a drum beat deserving of MCC's outstanding performance. The instrumentation is very modern, creative and up-to-date. The song concepts and lyrics are well done. Though, one or two songs, the arrangements for a short moment seemed messy or cluttered. Her babies sound adorable though at times their sound loops entwined throughout the song takes the listener out of the song and one becomes aware of the song composition and structure rather than just being a listener of a MCC song. Dedicated just came on just now. Very nice beat. Ha, that's what's his name's voice from American Idol Randy Jackson. What a cool composition - very smooth, warm and Mariah - beat changed-up a little-bit just now, well done. Wish the hook was a tad bolder - Randy just sang "oh Baby" hah, I met him once in 2002. He drinks that Penta water. Mariah, well done. It's fresh, new, different and yet so "Mariah". Also, good job of getting those vocals back in shape from persistent vocal bed rest. Thirsty just came on. It's very stark. I noticed in almost all songs, there are chorused vocals, using the chorus and flanged VST's and many times these processed vocals consume most of the song. It works best on "Thirsty" The bridge is silky chorus - nice, they giving us chords progressions displaying sophisticated compositions. No wonder this was delayed. At some point she realized her vocal ability needed to be invigorated. The vocal quality in Cry is not as sharp, refined, robust and healthy as in "Make it Look Good". What a breath of fresh air.

Camouflage and #Beautiful are the best (44,026) by Critter from USA
I like Camouflage and #Beautiful the best. Meteorite is refreshing (but it does remind of Madonna). The rest is very familiar Mariah sounds. There I said it. After following Mariah's music for 2 decades, I think 2014 is the year I finally outgrow her music, even though it is still head-and-shoulders above what's on radio today. Brenda K Starr (44,021) by G.G. from USA
Mariah posted a picture on Instagram and Brenda said, "Such a fake." The lambs starting going off on her and she deleted the Instagram account. Here's the link. By the way, the Facebook page, Mariah Carey France is so fast with their information and most of the time very accurate. I saw on their page today that Mariah is filming an NBC special. They were the first to report it, that I saw.

The album (44,020) by Marissa from USA
My top 3 songs:
1. YDKWTD (Yes, I agree that Wale should have waited his turn instead of hijacking the intro.)
2. Supernatural
3. Heavenly (I love when she does gospel. The abrupt whistle at the end was everything.)
Honorable mention: Cry
Love/hate relationship: Meteorite

Re: G.G. from the USA (44,019) by Brad from USA
Ha. Love you, G.G. The people who work in the stores that you and I go to must be like "dang, where'd all these Mariah Carey albums come from?" Funny part is, that's just the tip of the iceberg of my Mariah escapades over the last 24+ years, if only people knew. You know something, it would be great if the lambs compiled stories of the unusual measures they go to in furtherance of their love of MC and her music. As a teaser for that compilation, I would have to include my stories of: (1) Hiding in the woods from a local fire chief in order to greet MC's limo post concert, (2) sorta stalking an older woman who won tickets to an MC concert at a store opening until the radio DJ who gave the woman the tickets spotted me and snuck me my own set of tickets out in the store's parking lot, and (3) changing MC concert t-shirts in the front row every time MC had a wardrobe change during her CT Angels Advocate Tour stop. And so many more stories like these. Anyhow, it's all in good fun, so please don't hate on me folks. Be well and enjoy this new era for what you find in it for yourselves.
