What a shame (41,646) by Holly from UK
How rude. Don't worry, I won't be back.

Ariana (41,645) by B from USA
As for the constant comparisons to Mariah Carey, Ariana explains, "I mean, it's a huge compliment, but when you hear my entire album, you'll see that Mariah's sound is much different than mine." Every song that I've heard from her album sounds like a poor man's version of a Mariah Carey hit from the 90's. She's in denial.

MC vs. IDJ (41,644) by B from USA
I believe the album will be released on May 6th. IDJ will release the album to complete Mariah's contract. The execs at IDJ obviously see Mariah as a product that is past its sell by date. She isn't. Hello, "Beautiful" peaked at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at #3 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Tracks Chart in the United States. It received a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.

Interview with Ralphie Aversa (41,643) by Eternal from Italy
I watched the interview with Ralphie and it seems Mariah's team must have got wind of our recent complaints over her diva antics and erratic blabberings during interviews. She actually sounds composed, coherent, informative, humble and most important of all, nice. Obviously she still keeps her funny moments but it's all under control and for once she's not talking about her dogs giving birth or whatever. She gave lots of info about the new album and its delays, the producers she worked with, and just this whole "journey" of the new album. Good work Mariah, I can't wait to hear this journey.

What the new album will sound like (41,642) by Antonio from Spain
In her latest interview, Mimi has stated that the album would have uptempo songs and also the typical ''miserable'' Mariah songs that we all love, at least I do. I hope they're in the line of ''Petals'', ''Looking In'' and ''Languishing''. She said she worked with several producers who worked with her on TEOM, so I have high expectations about what the new album will sound like. As for now, I quite like all the singles she has released (including Triumphant), #Beautiful was very innovative, and it sounded great, TAOLG sounded good as well, the song has really grown on me, with YM(E), it's fun, I like the video as well, but it's definitely not one of my favourite Mariah songs, not at all. I really don't care about Mariah not having more number ones as long as we still have good music. Oh, and I'm sad TAOLG is not the album title, because to me, it was a beautiful title.

Stevie collab (41,639) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I don't think that's a good idea. Even though the collabo will be epic and all, but Mariah really needs the next single to be upbeat and the type which sounds like a party starter. Only then the radios will pick it up, the newer generation will get curious about the album and it can also be a club hit. The next single needs to definitely be a more club friendly song, something she collaborated on with people who are currently hot favorite writers/producers. I am rooting for Hit Boy and Mike Will collabos to come next.

Glitter (41,638) by Darryle from USA
I just watched Glitter for the first time ever and I have to say I love it. I have no idea why that movie did so bad. Mariah was great in it and so was everyone else. I love the soundtrack that goes with it too. I just got that yesterday and it's amazing. I don't know why Mariah was ashamed of Glitter in the beginning because it was honestly a fantastic movie. It had scenes that made me laugh like Da Brat dancing, scenes that made me gasp like Billie slapping Dice, and scenes that made me get emotional like when Billie saw her mom again. I encourage anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet to watch it, it is so worth the time.

Ariana Grande (41,637) by Ms. Giselle from USA
That "V Magazine" interview, she is so delusional. When I listen to that album all I hear is Daydream album no shade. Her producer even admitted they were going for '90's Mariah' sound. That's what makes me only like her about 75% out of 100. If she were honest and just admit that. Her and her people/label swagger jacked MC's sound/video image (90's era). I just can't with this girl, I think that's why MC doesn't and won't embrace her and the many before her. Beyonce, Christina A (post Genie), Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Jessica Simpson, Delta Goodrem, Rihanna, Pink just a few singers who were influenced in some way by Mariah yet don't and didn't swagger jack her sound/style.

Sam Moore (41,636) by Manny from U.S.
Does anyone know where I can find the audio of Sam Moore's It's Only Make Believe (featuring Mariah Carey and Vince Gill)? I heard it years ago, but now I can't find it anywhere online. I somehow had that song stuck in my mind today even though I can't reminder the last time I heard it.

Chris Brown vs. Mariah (41,635) by enwar00 from usa
Chris Brown is releasing his X album the same week as Mariah. What's interesting is that they both have been delayed multiple times. I liked Fine China. Who do you guys think will sell more that week?

Collabo with Stevie (41,634) by ZachSingsMariah from USA
Honestly, while Stevie Wonder may not fit into the industry models for what's "young" and "current", I think if he and MC have made a song together then that is hands-down the best choice for the next single. I mean, can it really get better than Stevie and Mariah crooning an immoecabble ballad (presumably titled "I'll Still Be Around", a name which I adore already) together? I genuinely think that could have massive chart potential. Just a thought. Still, I love YM(E).

Artistry not completed (41,632) by Blake from USA
We all know when an artist peaks its a sad day, but MC has not peaked despite all the negativity on this board. If anyone in this biz can come back it's MC. In the words of L.A. Reid "Mariah simply has more talent than anyone else in this business." I agree and I am not counting her out yet. Yes she is not 25, easy to deal with but in the end her music completes me. Her artistry is not done for the books to be written. I don't care about the myths of radio and beating The Beatles. Mariah can deliver a solid album and it's coming May 6. The label and her know how this album needs to be released if for nothing else, the lambily.

You're Mine (Eternal) (41,626) by B from USA
You're Mine (Eternal) is the second single from the album. The Art Of Letting Go was never serviced to radio and was not an official single. I'm sick of reading it. TAOLG was released to the fans for the fans. #Beautiful featuring Miguel was the first single and You're Mine is the second single. You're Mine (Eternal) is the perfect follow up to #Beautiful. It's a beautiful ballad with universal lyrics that anyone can relate to. The video is beautiful. Yes, Mariah is showing skin but can you blame her? She looks amazing. As long as she looks half her age, I have no problem with her showing her body. She works hard to look that good.

May 6th (41,625) by enwar00 from usa
I do think the album will come out May 6th. I don't think it'll be pushed back again. They probably will put out another single prior to then. Just my thoughts on it. Someone was saying they hoped for a killer uptempo next, I agree.

Randy (41,624) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Radio can work wonders for a song darling. Sometimes songs aren't instant hits, but the more people hear them on radio they grow to like them and may want to purchase it. Simple logic. Right? I've seen this happen before, I've had this happen to me. So we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Tony Baloney (41,623) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Darling, Mariah's toddlers singing the fabulous chorus to "You're Mine" is only a sign that it's a catchy tune. That's a good sign when children sing along. As for her vocals, her voice sounds good on this song, like many have stated sounds reminisce of "Underneath The Stars" or something from Butterfly, her vocals have actually been stronger than it has been since TEOM on everything song she's released thus far. That's why I say Mariah should do her, because when she tries to give people what they want 90s style all they're going to end up doing is harping on how it falls short in comparison. Besides at least let the album come out before first, writing her vocals and new music off.

Hunny you are hilarious. (*throws my hand at you*) I don't know what we're gonna do with you and these "cougar hair" comments. I think I may hit the whistle note in "There's Got To Be A Way" if I read that word one more time on here. And why did you have to go and mention that dress in your avatar? Chile the whole time you were posting about Mariah cutting her hair and dress more conservative, I couldn't help but visualize her with that curly Afro and a similar dress on. No shade, I know that look was hot in the 70s. But seriously though, the thing is Mariah looks like she's Nick and Beyonce's age (sometimes younger), so she can pull off this look without looking old. IMO. I've actually ran across comments online from people who thought she was in her mid twenties. I'm sure Mariah would love it. We all have our visions for her so it's all good.

Album pushed back? (41,621) by Randy from USA
Ok, so since we can see no one's buying the single, 32.000 copies sold in its first week. And someone on here said that was only the fans. I think a lot of fans slept on this one because she has had other singles sell quadruple that amount when she had no airplay like, Loverboy, TGIFY, I Still Believe etc. It's funny to me that people are thinking a release to radio is going to matter on February 24. For all of the promotion Mariah has done, if the masses were feeling it, radio would be playing it without IDJ's consent. That's happened with plenty of songs in the past whereas the label was pushing a single and radio went with something else on the album. Radio does what it wants. No miracle is going to fall out of the sky on February 24. I'm surprised radio is even part of the Billboard equation as I don't know anyone who listens to radio outside of their car. I don't think Trey Songz is a surefire way for a hit in that he did nothing for Toni Braxton's Yesterday. His last single and CD was not a big seller; he has his own career problems. The only hope I'm holding out for is that Through The Rain peaked at #81 and Charmbracelet came out on time. Do you guys think it'll be a May 6 release? Will MC release another single (her fourth without an album not counting Almost Home)?

Song writing (41,620) by Licia from USA
I'm late on this, but I'm seeing a few people saying that Mariah should start letting other people write for her. Why? She's been writing songs since the beginning of her career. Why should she stop now? No one had issues with her writing her own songs when she was going number one every year. Now that every song by her doesn't reach number one she should stop? There's no guarantee that having another person write for her will make her chart status any better.

Mariah's to-do list (41,619) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah has been working hard and doing her rounds of radio interviews, and this time around she's being the Mariah I know and love, that is she is keeping a good balance of seriousness and humor in her interviews along with providing tid bits about the new album. What she should gear up for now is to take over major television talk shows and use it for both interviews and performances. She can tape a little one hour special about the CD, like she did for the Emancipation era, or release something like Britney's documentary. She should drop a serious dance number, which she collaborated with people from the newer fresher lot like Hit Boy and Mike Will and burn down the radios. A catchy upbeat song will attract the newer generation right before the album release. I am interested in the song Thirsty as it reminds me of Migrate. Any song with clever lyrics like ITL (them chicken is ash and I'm lotion, or I ain't gonna let nobody's drama bother me) or Migrate (face body and Lamborghini outside, obviously boy you qualify, otherwise migrate bye). All these topped with the amazing voice and I think she's all set.

Still hoping for the best (41,618) by Tony from US
Aside from my first listen when the song debuted and watching both videos, I haven't really listened to YM(E). The single just hasn't moved me. It's not at all horrible, but it's not gripping enough for me. I think when people (like myself) say we want the old MC back, I'm talking about her releasing music with strong vocals and a strong melody. Last week in one of her interviews when she said the melody was so simple her toddler daughter can sing it back to her, that may very well be a good sign that MC as an artist isn't challenging herself creatively. And, if your daughter can sing it, then surely MC can and will sing it live and undubbed, right? I already know the BET performance will spark yet another lip-sync scandal. I'd quit singing before I lip-sync in front of Aretha. It's almost like cursing in church. My point? MC is so much better than what she's been giving lately. These knick-knack-paddy-whack songs with one note melodies are cool for a Rihanna or Miley, but not for the multi-octave voice of a generation best-selling-most-number-ones-having MC. I've forgiven the deteriorating vocals, because you can only work with what you've got. I've forgiven the stiff and lipped performances, the tacky ensembles, and I've even tolerated the eccentric/quirky interviews. What I can't let slide is sub-par music from someone I know is capable of sheer awesomeness. I really do hope for great things for this album.

Ralphie interview (41,617) by Mara from United States
I just have to say how amazing Mariah looked in that interview. When I saw Ralphie Aversa was interviewing MC I could not believe it. He was a local DJ in the small town I am from. To be given an MC interview, wow, congrats Ralphie. Looked like he was a little nervous, why wouldn't he be with the biggest interview he prob has ever landed. I must say MC looked a little tank back that he didn't know she does not "celebrate birthdays" only anniversaries. Anyhow, on to how amazing she looked and sounded. She brought me back to the Butterfly days with her hair color to her makeup and how she wore the black dresses a lot during that era. Her makeup was sexy and made her look very youthful. She was focused and answered all the questions and just seemed serious about the music. I thought it was a great interview overall.
