My wish list (39,432) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
I've been a lamb since Daydream (1995) and this is my wish list of Mariah that I hope would come true before I die.
1. Collaborate with Walter for just one more power ballad for old times sake.
2. Do another unplugged.
3. Do a duet with Celine Dion and Toni Braxton.
4. Finish up Rainbow Interlude to a full song
5. Perform "When I Saw You" live
6. Do sequel of Glitter (I'm kidding hehehe)

TwitPic : Debates (39,431) by Carol from Spain
People are just over reacting. It's not like we've never seen Mimi in a bra before lol. It's just underwear and we've seen way much worse lately. Why are people acting on her? At least she is sexy for real.

National Enquirer (39,430) by Licia from USA
That story made me lol. The fact that they brought up the staged Wild N Out episode with Mariah basically shows how credible the world already knows they are not. Lol.

New faces (39,429) by Joe from United Kingdom
I've noticed a lot of new faces on the message board of late. It wasn't that long ago that I was new here myself. I just wanted to say hi, welcome to the message board, feel free to air your thoughts and opinions whenever.

New Mariah album plus cover (39,428) by Wy Z from Australia
Hey lambs, I'm new here and I just wanted to say that I'm highly anticipating MC's new album. I feel like it's going to be a retro sounding r&b album, she's hinted at going back to her earlier albums' sound. Anyways, on another topic, I was hoping you guys could leave constructive feedback on my acapella cover of Mariah's recent hit #Beautiful.

Hello! / world songs (39,427) by Martyn from England, UK
Hi all! I've been reading this board for years, but thought I'd finally join. In terms of signature song in the UK, I'd say it's probably "Without You", "Hero" or "We Belong Together" (pretty obvious, really). You don't hear much Mariah though, the UK just don't get her which frustrates me so much, especially when I see people stanning hard for the likes of Rihanna and Miley Cyrus.

Signature songs in Brazil (39,426) by Carlos Belizário from Brazil
Hi guys, I'm new, I love the site. I read every day! Mariah is huge in Brazil. Her songs are often used in soap operas and especially the ballads are very popular here. The AC radio stations still play her a lot. I Still Believe, Bye Bye, I Want To Know What Love Is (#1 in Brazil for 24 weeks), I'll Be There, Touch My Body are the most popular. For the Pop stations, Heartbreaker, It's Like That, We Belong Together, I Know What You Want, Obsessed and Touch My Body are the most popular. Here is a list of Mariah's songs in soap operas:
Vision of Love (Rainha da Sucata)
My All (Corpo Dourado)
Do You Know Where You Going To (Suave Veneno)
I Want To Know What Love Is (Viver a Vida)

Mimi on the radio (39,425) by Tory from Australia
Over here (New Zealand), I mainly hear Without You, I'll Be There, One Sweet Day, Dreamlover, Always Be My Baby, We Belong Together, I Wanna Know What Love Is and Fantasy. I remember how shocked I was when "There's Got To Be A Way" and "Butterfly" came on the radio once lol. Overall I'd say Without You, I'll Be There and One Sweet Day are her biggest hits here. Ironically, Vision Of Love went to #1 here in 1990, but I have never heard it on the radio.

Nick Cannon birthday (39,424) by Cheryl Jones from American
I hope you had a good birthday Nick. I hope Mariah had something special planned for you. I have a Christain friend that said Mariah wasn't dressed too good on her hubby seducer. But I think she was dressed fine. That's a beautiful and sexy bra. My sister is really beautiful, I don't care what people say. I love you all.

World songs (39,423) by enwar00 from usa
It's cool to me hearing which Mariah songs are still played in different parts of the world. Here in Chicago I think it's Always Be My Baby that gets the most recurrent airplay.

JD as manager (39,422) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I admit I was a little apprehensive about it. Not really because of him, rather Mariah's tendency to hire her friends. I'm willing to give this a chance though. They've made good business choices together musically in the past and he seems willing to tell her when something isn't working, so maybe this will be a good thing.

Carla / Stacey (39,421) by Licia from USA
I agree with you both. Give the man a chance. It may work out. I for one am excited because they work so well together and we all know they are capable of making great music as well as number one hits. I also believe that JD will tell her no if something doesn't sound right. All we can do is hope this works out.

My All (39,420) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
In Malaysia, My All is Mariah's signature song. That song still gain airplay until now in local radio stations.

Bill (39,419) by Will from England
Lol, we've been hearing that for a long time now. Give it a few more months before we hear anything.

Stacey (39,418) by Carol from Spain
Now that we know it's true, I'm very excited, especially after that "very very soon" from Cindy Berger. Bring On Emancipation 2.0. I believe this album is going to be huge, what can ruin it is the critics and the bias media because of her age. But I so want it.

"Very, very soon" (39,417) by Bill from the UK
Those three words from Cyndi Berger about Mariah's arrival of her new body of work are very encouraging. As for JD, I didn't see that one coming, but who knows? Let's see what happens.

Jermaine managing Mariah (39,416) by SiahhBailon from USA
Hopefully, now that Jermaine is managing Mariah, we will get a new single, and possibly an album release date.

Carla (39,415) by Stacey from USA
I agree 100% with your last post. Well written. Let's give it a chance. It might be ok. JD definitely has no problem telling MC "no" and that is what she needs. It's what any artist needs. Too many "yes" people around you is not good. You need someone strong enough willing to stand up and say "no, let's try this direction". As talented as MC is, she isn't right all the time. And she can stand up to JD if her idea is indeed really good and needs to be heard. I'm inclined to think it might work. We'll see. (If the rumor is true. Any further thoughts?)

JD and managing Mariah (39,414) by Carol from Spain
I wonder why some lambs are just dissing JD's ability to manage Mariah. This can go either way: Or they are successful at it or they loose big time. I believe it will be a hit because JD is probably one of the persons in the industry that better knows Mariah and her talent as a singer, songwritter and producer. No one better to promote her work than a person that participated in the work. I think people should give him a chance, and don't forget he's is responsible for some of her greatest hits.

Signature songs (39,413) by Ryan from the Philippines
Yeah, Through The Rain also (in Asia's case). And I'd just like to add on Alain's comment, TTR and Bye Bye were actually big hits in the Philippines. The former became a staple on singing contests and a karaoke favorite. This song drew a crowd of 40,000 people during her concert in the country in 2003 while the latter became #1, both video and in radios.

Signature songs / The Art Of Letting Go (39,412) by Lainsky from Philippines
For the 90s her signature song based on popularity and impact to people is Hero and for 00s I have to say it's Through The Rain (at least here in the Asia). TTR is more popular than We Belong Together and it has more impact to people. As for the new album, I have to agree with some of you that Mariah should drop the album in 2014 like January, but she can release a new single by November or December. Again as some of you said it, she can focus on promoting again her Christmas singles and albums. But let's wait what the management will do and whatever it is, let's keep our fingers crossed that we will all get what we want.

Mariah mania (39,411) by nikki from usa
I would love if Mariah would release a song now. I'm bored with radio and the "heavyhitters" of today aren't that heavy hitting. If it's even half way decent it'll easily chart. #Beautiful was a "good" song and it did very well, the second she releases something "great" she'll float to the top. I think what people really underestimate about her is the fact her frequent success has been due to her own invention. It's one thing to get a few string of hits, it's another to have a 20 year career due to her own writing and producing skills. That alone alludes to another hidden talent: Mariah clearly has a grasp on the people's "pulse". Sure, she may miss a few beats here and there; but those "misses" only ensure she has a hit just around the corner. No matter the state of Mariah's career, she'll always have one for 2 reasons. 1. She's so rich, she could afford to create her own albums even without a label for the rest of her life and still send her grandchildren to college. 2. Even her "flops" turn a profit. As long as there's money to be had, there will always be a label willing to take on Mariah. In fact, out of the 17 songs in the past 13 years, I can only come up with 4 true flops - the rest have either charted well, sold well, and/or broke records somewhere else.

Art Of Letting Go / the new clone (39,410) by 123 from USA
She better keep that as the album title. When I heard it might be one of the songs of the album, I thought to myself, wouldn't it be great if that was the album title. I don't see any new music coming out this year either. She will wait untill first quarter to drop an uptempo and then release a ballad in time for prom season. I don't know what all the hype is about the new Mariah clone. The only reason why they are saying she is the new Mariah is because they are marketing her that way and her production team admitted to ripping of Mariah's mid 90s sound for her. I heard the album, it's kiddie, no great vocals. She may have have range but she sounds like a little girl, not a woman in her 20s. "Honestly, there have been so many, 'This is the new her,' and I'm like, OK, show me the new her. Can she come and work for me and be my double?" - Mariah.

New album release date / Ariana Grande (39,409) by Edward from USA
I don't think it is a good idea to release the album at this time of the year either. I think Mariah would be focused on her Christmas stuff, and the attention wouldn't be on the album. A new single by the end of November would make sense though, provided the single was successful. It would give Mariah a nice window for a second single, and then the album by March. In the meantime, I am so happy for Ariana's album, I listen to it regularly because it is the closest I can find to Mariah. It also reminds me of when Mariah sang fluidly and without struggle. Ariana is talented, but I'm afraid she's already been labeled as a Mariah-wannabe. Her second single flopped badly, and her album is fading out slowly. I hope she could get a couple of hits from it.

The tour (39,408) by Jeanette from USA
The way I look at it is Mariah isn't going on tour. Remember that she said she was going to go in October. I feel sorry for Mariah, yes she is a talented singer and will always be. Singers like Whitney, Celine, Barbra, Donna and Mariah days seem to be coming to an end.
