Favourite ballad (38,124) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom I'm not gonna lie, I don't really like Mariah's ballads. My favourite song is Loverboy. That was obviously a joke lol. It's too hard to specify one, but Without You, Lead the Way, Can't Let Go, Whenever You Call, Alone In Love (I consider this a ballad), Melt Away, Butterfly, to name a few lol. Please note I wasn't throwing shade at Loverboy, which I consider to be her worst lead sine, but still a good song to me. (Sunday 2 June 2013; 0:50)

Best ballads: a difficult task (38,123) by RadChad from United States Tell you what, go to YouTube and look up the "Love Takes Time "video. That song is the truth, the vocals are emotional and pure. It's the essence of what made me love MC. After that look up the "Anytime You Need A Friend" video, and just be in awe of the effortless soaring powerful vocals and uplifting message that accompanies it. Then last but not least, take a moment to listen to "Butterfly", magical is what is it. As a matter of fact, the best way describe Mariah's best ballads is magical from the vocal delivery, arrangements, and lyrics Mariah takes me on that journey with her. There truly are too many best ballad to name. I mean there's Forever, Whenever You Call, Lead The Way, Never Too Far, FLAB, I Wish You Well and more to come, but those main three named are top for me. (Saturday 1 June 2013; 23:19)

All I've Ever Wanted (38,118) by Lee from UK All I've Ever Wanted, for me, is Mariah's best ballad for sure. Her voice on this track is immaculate from start to finish. Her huge vocals shine through and I only hope that one day she will surprise us all by performing this live and nailing it. (Saturday 1 June 2013; 21:42)

MC's best ballad (38,117) by Stacey from USA Oh man, where to begin, lol. Everything Fades Away is a good one. Whenever You Call has one of the best bridges to date. Mariah's best ballad (38,116) by Jono from USA Oh boy, this is a tough one since she is known for her ballads. I would have to say "Vanishing" has got to be one of the best. It's vocally immaculate, and I love hearing the minimalist production, because it showcases Mariah's voice. It's an absolute masterpiece, and arguably the most underrated song of her entire catalog. Best ballad (38,112) by Anthony Early from Wales Music Box, what a brilliant choice. As is Everything Fades Away. I also love All I Ever Wanted, I Am Free, Butterfly, Outside and Lead the Way. Through the Rain holds a place in my heart as being the song that really made me stand up and take notice of MC. The queen (38,108) by Anonymous from Mariah's new album was played for Universal Music execs in London this week, and they liked what they heard. The album is due in the next month or less. Reading that made my day. Hopefully, those execs decide to promote this record like their lives and careers depend on it being a worldwide success. The same goes with my last name. I swear my name is going to be mispelled on my tombstone, lol. Take care. As far as Idol goes, I'm glad it's over. Now she can focus on the upcoming album, promotion, tour, whatever plans she has in store. Smart move, MC to get ahead of the speculation surrounding whether she would return. Now MC is controlling the discussion with a positive spin. I always said if she waited, Idol producers would throw her under the bus for last season's low ratings. Album minus a # (38,106) by Blake from USA I think it would be great if the album was named in honor of the lambily. TLC, and others have done this to show their appreciation to their fans. This could potentially bring back some fans that lost interest due to Mariah's cleavage and "dahhlin divaness". WBT sure brought them back. I hope the next single is a smash as well and just her as a soloist. This album needs some major hits on it, top 10's. Although I still would love to see her break or meet the Beatles at 20 #1's. I wish she was on Letterman, Leno, and Conan promoting #Beautiful but I feel promotion is very minimal until the album is ready, which could be pushed back like alot of previous releases. I really really hope she comes to South Africa, I hear #Beautiful on the radio every day and she's never performed here before so we are really long overdue a show. Idol and tour/album (38,104) by Blake from USA As happy as I am about Mariah quitting Idol, the world tour does not excite me. Her voice is strictly beautiful as a studio artist these days. I get bummed at her shows when I don't hear "Vision of love" and "Make it happen" the way she used to sing them live. Alot of artists never change the way the sing their hits, only the arrangement, but Mariah has the need to change the arrangement and her style of singing them. This is done to accommodate her voice and where it lacks, including using her backup singers to sing louder than her. Just annoys me. However, I am a lamb for life and I am excited for the album title and hopefully a release date soon. I do agree that this is the first time we have a hit single and no album info. I hate that, but keep in mind what happened with "Triumphant". That is perhaps still the lead single to Mariah and #Beautiful is the ballad follow up she talked about for months. "Almost home" was a soundtrack work so we can't count that, although I feel had she promoted it, it could have debuted on the Hot 100. (Friday 31 May 2013; 16:13)
