Mariah works out wearing fishnets and stiletto heels

The diva workout. Mariah Carey wore fishnet tights and stiletto booties as she worked out at the gym in a series of Instagram posts on Thursday, February 2. The Grammy winner, 46, shared two videos and a pic that showed her wearing a black-and-white jacket zipped up over a cleavage-baring bodysuit and a couple of chunky necklaces as she hit celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson's gym.

In the first video captioned "Running amok", the "Touch My Body" singer steps towards the camera. A second video showed the Mariah's World star lifting 20-pound barbells. "We must we must... " she captioned the clip. Her third post was a pic of the singer posing on the Stairmaster. "Climb every mountain," she captioned the provocative pic that showed her looking over her shoulder.

Rihanna excitedly shared the Stairmaster pic on Instagram, pointing out that the heels Carey is wearing are from her FentyXPuma collection. "Yo I made it," the "Work" singer captioned the pic.

The posts came on the same day Carey released her new single, "I Don't", ahead of the music video release on Friday, February 3. She talked about the song, which was inspired by her breakup with Australian billionaire James Packer, during a Facebook Live interview on Thursday, explaining that it was "called 'I Don't' as opposed to 'I do'."

Carey, who lay on a bed wearing a bodysuit and fishnets for the interactive video, also revealed that she voices the mayor in upcoming The Lego Batman Movie and said that she is working on a song with her 5-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

"We recently did something together in the studio, and it's one of my favorite things," she said. " I don't want to go on too much about it, but they're doing their thing." She added that her kids with ex-husband Nick Cannon "love to be on stage" and love singing. "It's one of the most incredible things for me to watch."

Yup. That's another way to make yourself more relatable. I cannot unsee that. What look is it anyway? Sporty tramp? Trashy fitness chick? Drunk aunt lost in the gym? There's just no way that this is gonna get any good press other than the token "I love her confidence" comment. This look is probably gonna be in the new video as well? I hope these photos and her new clip don't affect the commercial performance of her new single negatively.

Exactly I have a big problem with this new pics in gym. Because as a fan I feel embarrassed. I don't care if Rihanna and Miley do the same (because for me they are cheap and talentless compared to real musicians). Why must Mariah go that route? Maybe it's all fun for her but I can't find it funny anymore. At least it's nice to know that the new song is doing well in so many countries. I try to stay excited for new stuff.

I'm trying to see the positive in these pics - she's working out. Yayy.

Lol. She was wearing Rihanna's clothing brand. Rih Rih gave her a shout out on her IG I think. Mariah is selling ultimate fantasy to her fans, Q&A while laid out in a bed, and a work out in street wear. It doesn't matter if it's fake to her if people are lapping it up and she gets a hit.

I will forever love her and be a die hard fan. That being said, why? She's doing too much. Mariah's World made it look like she cheated, but the song makes her seem like the victim. She needs to stop trying to compete with the 20 year olds and let her voice and music do the talking.

I concur with most of the die-hard fans here. I am really sad, especially for her legacy. People especially the younger generations will not think of her earlier masterpieces but what she has become in recent years.

Agree. I have been very sad also, and very angry, especially that Mishka took that gym ass photo and proudly post it, and Stella also post it n writes "you're welcome America" underneath it on Instagram. It's sickening how this mother-daughter team promote a legend in such trashy way, and keep brainwashing MC that she should dress n take photos like this. I have been here on MCArchives every day for almost 20years. Back then a MC album release is the biggest event in my life, once class is finished I would rush to the CD store to buy a copy, sit and listen to the whole album, read the booklet, treasure it as a piece of art, her and her music uplift me, inspire me. These recent months I find myself full of negativity and sadness after I read her news and photos. It's horrifying, my whole body feel sick, and I don't understand. What's with the middle finger, f word, excessive alcohol, fishnet every day and "my schedule doesn't allow me to get married" when the guy had proposed a few different dates for the wedding? What was she so busy about when she'd achieved so much in the past 27 years that she can't hire a wedding planner and take out a week to get married? I am afraid when MC leaves this world, her money will go to Stella and her daughters. It's like she is brainwashed to agree to do whatever they wants, when she should put Roc n Roe first.
