It's time! For Mariah Carey's Halloween costume, that is. The queen of Christmas proved she's also spooky season royalty as she showed off her Japanese Kawaii-inspired costume, with her and ex-husband Nick Cannon's 14-year-old twins Monroe Cannon and Moroccan Cannon also joining in on the fun.
Mariah shared a slew of snaps of the trio's looks to Instagram, October 31, writing in the caption, "Happy Halloween from Japan!"
In the photos, the 56-year-old sported a long, pink, pigtailed wig and a frilly white shirt paired with a short, puffy blue skirt. She completed the look with ruffled white socks, silver heels, white lacy gloves and a white parasol, which also helped keep her drying in the rain.
Her teens opted for slightly more comfortable Kawaii costumes - the name for a part of Japanese culture that focuses on cuteness and childlike innocence - with Moroccan in a white, animal onesie, while Monroe donned a yellow onesie, complete with a painted nose and freckles.
Mariah also met up with two of Japan's most Kawaii characters, posing with Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel - both dressed up in their Day of the Dead Halloween costumes - as the trio embraced and posed for a photo.
All the cuteness was a far cry from Monroe and Moroccan's recent Halloween celebrations with their dad, which saw Nick and his eldest children taking in the scares at California's Knott's Berry Farm.
"Last night was a Thriller Knotts Scary Farm The whole gang pulled up!" Nick, 45, posted to Instagram October 20, alongside a pic of him and the twins with a bunch of scary characters. "These two love scaring the poop out of themselves!"
And it would seem Monroe and Moroccan are very much into scares, as the dad of 12 shared that for their birthday in April the duo decided on a lowkey party at The Basement, a horror-themed escape room in Los Angeles.
"Scary and mindblowing to say the least but Roc & Roe and their friends loved it!" Nick wrote while recapping the birthday celebration. "And they let the old man tag along as a chaperone!"
