And here comes the video which I'm sure will be sexy. MC still got it unlike Madonna in her 40's. "Straight guys" at my work noticed the single cover. When I lived in university campus straight guys looking through my CDs always stuck at the #1's or Rainbow. I recall what Coldplay were saying back in 2005 about her boobs. Infinity (52,436) by Aden from South Africa Ok just got Infinity and I am loving it playing it constantly. Love the hook so much, I just keeps repeating over and over in my head. I know this one's gonna be a hit. Sideline note: I love how the butterfly avatar is shaped like an infinity symbol, it's beautiful and in its own way a diss to Nick ie Mariah's tattoo of a butterfly on her back after her nuptials will stay with her infinitely while Nick's tattoo has been removed, hence infinity at least for him ain't forever. I swear I bought only one copy , and matter the fact the song went to top ten without any promotion here. I like the general vibe of the song, I've got so many people around me who deserve to be given with this masterpiece and this ain't no compliment. Infinity to 1 (52,425) by Ethan from United States Despite the mixed reviews, this song is moving up on charts without any major promotions besides on all social media outlets. That's quite a feature for the PR/Media group. Let's not compare. There's a catchy chorus. It doesn't feel/seem 90s to me but it reminds me of the TEOM era and it's in between Shake It Off/Make It Look Good. The addition to AC/POP radios, music video, and promotional performances will only make the song climb up the charts more. I'm excited for her and her team. In my opinion, it's not the best but it's grown on me. I said the same thing about Honey and Heartbreaker. I think Mariah is one of those artists that have an array of fans because of her music artistry/longevity. Every first single sounds different from one album to another. I can see why fans said this and that but we need to look at Mariah's career. There are songs with simple lyrics like Dreamlover (or the entire Music Box album) but very melodic tunes, there are songs with hard beats and catchy/interesting phrases like "them chickens are ash and I'm lotion" lol, and there are GRE/SAT lyrical words like Close My Eyes, Outside, and others. There's something for everyone. It's up to us to leave it or take it and not bashing. (Monday 27 April 2015; 23:13)

Still hopeful (52,424) by Dove from USA Why are we so afraid to aim for #1? TMB made it to number one and Infinity is better than TMB. Think about most of the songs that make it to #1. All About That Bass was #1 recently. Blank Space was #1. Infinity is as good or better than those songs. Even if Infinity is not your favorite, please still buy the single to support Mariah. Infinity (52,422) by B from USA Is tailor made for Adult Contemporary, Pop, and R&B radio. It has a sing a long chorus that is catchy and the verses are clever. The speculation about the lyrics will get the public interested in the song which will translate into streams and downloads. Mariah, Reid, and Epic know what they are doing and they are doing it well. This era feels epic, pun intended. (Monday 27 April 2015; 22:55)

It's supposed to start 6pm PT (3am CET) The video portion begins at 8pm (5am CET). I downloaded the Periscope app but I'll be sleeping. Move on (52,420) by Darryle from USA I know that some of you don't like Infinity and I understand that, I also know MIAMTEC had missed single opportunities but it's time to let it go. How are you going to judge Mariah's new music when you're basing your opinion on how her old work sounds? Artists such as Mariah evolve and go through different stages in their life. If you keep getting your hopes up for everything to sound like her previous work you're bound to be disappointed. Andrew (52,419) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I get how you feel. I have been in that state a while back then suddenly I found my self humming parts of it. Now I am liking it a bit more. I also am worried about non-Mariah fans, because to get a major hit, the non-lambs need to be on board. About the straight guy thing, this song is probably not going to appeal to them much (non fans) but I think it might have potential. I'll keep #1 in the back seat for now, I'm aiming more for a top 10 at this point and I think that is possible. If Mariah can somehow hook in some non fans who are girls, they'll eat it up. Taylor Swift's "We are never ever getting back", "I knew you were trouble" and "Blank space" got so successful because it became a major break up anthems for girls around the world. Even non fans bought it because the song was relatable and let's face it many people had bad break ups. I'm sure straight guys didn't buy into that either, but still they were major on the charts. Anyways at this point I am mumbling crap I know, it's too late at night. I'm still optimistic about the song even though at first I did not like it. (Monday 27 April 2015; 22:27)

Infinity (52,418) by NHYTG from nyc The ultimate break-up anthem, I think many people can relate to Infinity. Playing it over and over, loving it more and more. I'm a bit surprised by the negative reactions because this is just the kind of song you can expect from Mariah, it's so much her own style. I still applaud her for staying close to herself and not desperately trying to chase chart-success with music that she doesn't relate to. Nice to see Infinity at #17 here in The Netherlands. Infinity (52,416) by Abraham from USA I'm sorry but the song disappointed me. I was hoping for something great. I honestly want to slap all those critics for hyping up the song making me believe it was going to be something spectacular. The song definitely isn't number one material. The music is terrible and the lyrics along with Mariah's voice are awful. Once it started I already knew I wasn't going to like it. Almost every song on "Me I am Mariah" except "You're mine" is better. It's just as bad as "You're mine". I still love Mariah though. Hopefully the singles from her next album will be better. I wasn't expecting 90's Mariah and I definitely didn't want a rehash of WBT. For me there's just something missing from this song. Sweetheart, a cover of Rainy Davis' Sweetheart released in 1987, was a cute song. When You Believe was a miracle. Mariah's duet with Brian on Whenever You Call was underwhelming. Mariah's cover of Brenda K. Starr's I Still Believe, on which she sang background vocals, was her way of paying tribute to her. Starr's version peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Starr's first and only top twenty single on the Hot 100. Mariah's version peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Mariah made the song her own and the remixes she commissioned are/were epic. Infinity is a hit. It's got everything going for it except for the few so called fans that dislike it but that's not going to stop the public from hearing the song and thinking Mariah Carey is back and in fine form with a catchy witty new single. Infinity #11 on Swedish iTunes (52,412) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End Apart from AIWFCIY Infinity is the only Mariah song since #Beautiful was #1 to make such an immediate an impact like this in Sweden. This is a very good sign, it means the song is really strong. I hear it's already #1 in the Philippines so how is it doing in you alls respective countries so far? Also, those complaining about the lyrical content: What else is an authentic artist like Mariah supposed to write about if not what is actually going on in her life? If you want generic pop songs with no bite, no depth, signature sounds or playfulness then Mariah Carey is obviously not your fave. Close the door, loose the key. (Monday 27 April 2015; 21:58)

97.9 The Box H-Town (52,410) by Ardis Logic from Earth I grew up in the H-Town (Houston) area. They play crap all day long and wouldn't know a "real" good song if it was delivered gold plated into their studio. So it really doesn't matter what they or anyone else says. This song is pure, from the heart. It doesn't get much real than that folks. If you can not appreciate it for that, then you might want to check if you still have a heart and/or soul. I think most fans will love the new song because most fans seem to be die hard fans who think Marah excretes music awards. And fair play. All artists have their die-Garda. Mariah fans loving her isn't the marker, I would suggest. The problem, I believe, is MC's music and image appealing to non-fans. TEOM went global because Mariah did what Whitney did in 98/99: she had attitude and sophistication in her sound and image. That's is: even straight guys bought into it, and you can't be successful, for the most part, without them. Infinity is half way between me being dubious and loving it. I feel kind of odd about it. It has attitude, but is sometimes too girly. And too overthought as Mariah's music so often is now. There's a lot going on. It has more moments of Mariah genius but other moments of RnB malaise (like going to a club and dancing only for a sit-down sofa-song to come on). I just drove back from work with a few listens and will pump it out now to come to grips with it. But non-Mariah fans won't do that. And that's where the problem lies. (Monday 27 April 2015; 21:46)

I agree CB was pure damage control, a forum to give MC an opportunity to go on all the shows and share her side of the breakdown/Glitter debacle. It allowed MC to show she was back and ready to shine again. TTR was never meant to rocket up the charts. It was more of a therapy for MC. Then we got TEOM. Oh my, I love that album. I see the same thing happening here. Different circumstances of course, but she is still coming off a personal setback. What better way to reenter the public eye than by celebrating her 18 #1s. I hope she does well in Vegas which will hopefully set her up for the true comeback with the next studio album. (Monday 27 April 2015; 21:28)

Fifth Harmony/ Trending 140 (52,406) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Ok so it's sweet that Fifth Harmony is giving a shout out to Infinity and even shared the download link on their official twitter. I wish more celebs would do that. Well MC did talk about Fifth Harmony on her twitter so I am glad they are doing the same for her. Hopefully their fans will check out the song and download it. I am going around reading up on the song and it's good to say that most articles are praising it. Plus people on twitter are going crazy over it. It's good, I am happy for MC. There must be something in the song that is getting people hooked. I hope it brings her the success she has been wanting. Also Mariah shot to #1 on the Trending 140. I think now she is at number 2. Infinity (52,405) by Stacey from USA I think those who don't like the song need to take a step back. Remember the first #1s album? MC recorded I Still Believe as a new single to promote the album. That song while nice, remixes are even better, wasn't meant to rocket her back to #1. I don't think it was that kind of song. It was a tribute to BKS. The same goes with Infinity. I think everyone hyped themselves up so much that upon first listen, they were let down when it wasn't that WBT/SIO powerhouse song (which I think is an unfair comparison). It's a song to promote the new #1s collection/Vegas residency. It's a song to help MC move forward. I think she did her best to write a song to please radio, but more for herself. I'm hopeful that when the time comes for a new album of songs, MC will create those radio friendly, powerhouse singles. For now, though, it's all about reminding folks about her accomplishments. Similar to ISB, Infinity is meant to get her back on track, not rocker her up to #1. (Monday 27 April 2015; 21:08)

Infinity is coming for that Billboard Hot100 #1 spot you all (52,404) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End It's brilliant in the way it sounds like a MIAMTEC track since that stellar album is caught between adjacent record company eras much like the Glitter soundtrack was. If we can't have Thirsty then Infinity is the best second choice I can imagine. I love how straightforward her vocals are, it leaves a lot of room for Mariah to add whatever flavours she wants to live when she's in good voice without straining her at all if she just sings it as is. The lyrics video was 100% necessary considering the compact lyrics before we get the short film version, plus it's just great promo and hype. Team Mariah is on fiyah. Also, the Thirsty shade is legendary. When will your lesser fave? (Monday 27 April 2015; 20:59)
